< Jeremia 20 >
1 Ie jinanji’ i Paskore ana’ Imere, mpisoroñe, loham-pifehe añ’ Anjomba’ Iehovà ao, i nitokie’ Iirmeày,
And Pashhur son of Immer the priest—who [is] also overseer, leader in the house of YHWH—hears Jeremiah prophesying these things,
2 le nampandafa’ i Paskore t’Iirmeà, vaho najo’e an-dangoke an-dalam-bei’ i Beniamine añ’ Anjomba’ Iehovà ao.
and Pashhur strikes Jeremiah the prophet, and puts him in the stocks that [are] by the Upper Gate of Benjamin, that [is] by the house of YHWH.
3 Ie amy loak’ àndroy naho nakare’ i Paskore amy longòkey t’Iirmeà, le nanoe’ Iirmeà ty hoe, Tsy Paskore ty nanoe’ Iehovà i tahina’oy fa Magòremisabìbe.
And it comes to pass on the next day, that Pashhur brings Jeremiah out from the stocks, and Jeremiah says to him, “YHWH has not called your name Pashhur, but Terror on Every Side.
4 Fa hoe t’Iehovà: Ingo hanoeko harevendreveñañe ami’ty vata’o naho amo hene rañe’oo irehe; le ho isam-pihaino’o ty ho korovohem-pibaran-drafelahi’ iareo, naho fonga hatoloko am-pitàm-panjaka’ i Bavele t’Iehodà naho hasese’e an-drohy mb’e Bavele mb’eo vaho ho zevoñe’e am-pibara.
For thus said YHWH: Behold, I am making you for a fear to yourself, And to all loving you, And they have fallen by the sword of their enemies, and your eyes are beholding, And all Judah I give into the hand of the king of Babylon, And he has removed them to Babylon, And he has struck them with the sword.
5 Hatoloko iareo ze hene haja’ ty rova toy; o havokara’e iabio, naho o raha sarobili’e iabio, eka, ze fonga vara’ o mpanjaka’ Iehodào ty hatoloko am-pità’ o rafelahi’eo; ho kopahe’ iereo, ho rambese’ iereo vaho hendese’ iareo mb’e Bavele añe.
And I have given all the strength of this city, And all its labor, and all its precious things, Indeed, I give all the treasures of the kings of Judah into the hand of their enemies, And they have spoiled them, and taken them, And have brought them into Babylon.
6 Le ihe, Paskore, naho ze fonga añ’ anjomba’o ao ro hasese mb’am-pandrohizam-b’eo; le ho avy e Bavele añe irehe, naho hihomake añe, vaho haleveñe añe, Ihe rekets’ o rañe’o iaby nitokia’o entam-bìlañeo.
And you, Pashhur, and all dwelling in your house, Go into captivity. And you enter Babylon, And there you die, and there you are buried, You and all loving you, To whom you have prophesied falsely.”
7 Ry Iehovà, nazi’o iraho le nimeteako, niambotraha’o, vaho nahagioke; izaho fitohàfañe lomoñandro, mañabiañe ahy ie abikey.
You have persuaded me, O YHWH, and I am persuaded; You have hardened me, and prevail, I have been for a laughter all the day, Everyone is mocking at me,
8 Ie mivolan-draho le mitazataza, mikoiake ty hoe: Joy naho fandrotsahañe; aa le sirikaeñe naho injeañe lomoñandro iraho ty amy tsara’ Iehovày
Because from the time I speak I cry out, I shout, “Violence and destruction!” For the word of YHWH has been to me For reproach and for derision all the day.
9 Ie anoeko ty hoe, tsy hivolañe aze iraho, tsy hirehak’ ami’ty tahina’e ka, toly ndra afo ty mihoboboke an-troko, migabeñe an-taolako ao, naho mokotse avao iraho t’ie tanañe ao, vaho tsy feleko.
And I said, “I do not mention Him, Nor do I speak anymore in His Name,” And it has been in my heart As a burning fire shut up in my bones, And I have been weary of containing, And I am not able.
10 Tsinanoko ty tangogo’ i màroy, mangebahebake mb’atia mb’etia: Manirikà, eka ho sirikae’ay; mamandroñ’ahy o rañeko iabio ke hitsikapy: He ho fañahien-dre, hoe iereo, Toe ho felen-tika, ho valen-tikañe.
For I have heard the evil report of many, “Fear [is] all around!” “Declare, and we declare it!” All my allies are watching [for] my halting, “Perhaps he is enticed, and we prevail over him, And we take our vengeance on him.”
11 Fe mindre amako t’Iehovà hoe fanalolahy; aa le hitsikapy o mpampisoañe ahio, naho tsy hahalefe, akore ty ho fisalara’ iareo kanao tsy zary vaho ho fañonjirañe tsy ho haliño kitro katroke.
And YHWH [is] with me, as a mighty, awesome One, Therefore my persecutors stumble and do not prevail, They have been exceedingly ashamed, For they have not acted wisely, Continuous confusion is not forgotten.
12 Ry Iehovà’ i Màroy, ry Mpitsoke o vantañeo, Mpivazoho añ’ova naho añ’arofo ao, ehe te ho treako ty famalea’o fate iareo; fa Ihe ty nampibentarako ty amako.
And, O YHWH of Hosts, trier of the righteous, Beholder of reins and heart, I see Your vengeance on them, For I have revealed my cause to you.
13 Sabò t’Iehovà, rengeo t’Iehovà; fa hinaha’e am-pità’ o lo-tserekeo ty fiai’ o rarakeo.
Sing to YHWH, praise YHWH, For He has delivered the soul of the needy From the hand of evildoers.
14 Fatse i andro nahatoly ahikoy; ehe te tsy ho tahieñe i andro niterahan-drenekoy.
Cursed [is] the day in which I was born, The day that my mother bore me, Let it not be blessed!
15 Ozoñeñe t’indaty ninday talily an-draeko, nanao ty hoe: Nisamake lahilahy irehe, nahafale aze.
Cursed [is] the man who bore tidings [to] my father, Saying, “A male child has been born to you,” Making him very glad!
16 Ehe te hanahake o rova narotsa’ Iehovà tsy mete nisolohoo indaty zay; Ee t’ie hijanjiñe kaikaike te maraiñe, naho hazolava te tsipinde-mena.
Then that man has been as the cities, That YHWH overthrew, and did not relent, And he has heard a cry in the morning, And a shout at noontime.
17 Amy t’ie tsy vinono’e boak’ an-koviñ’ ao; soa te ho ni-kiboriko ty reneko, ie nainai’e ho ni-bei-troke.
Because he has not put me to death from the womb, And my mother is to me—my grave, And her womb [is] a perpetual pregnancy.
18 Aa vaho ino ty niakarako i hoviñey hahatreavako haemberañe naho hasotriañe, hampibotsehan-kasalarañe o androkoo?
Why [is] this? I have come out from the womb To see labor and sorrow, Indeed, my days are consumed in shame!
