< Isaia 41 >

1 Mianjiña, hijanjiña’ areo ahy, ry tokonoseo, ampaozareñe ondatio; hañarinea’ iareo mb’etoy, hisaontsy; Antao hototoke mb’eo hitsarañe.
Keep silence before me, O isles; and let the people renew [their] strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment.
2 Ia ty nampitsekake i boak’ atiñanañey hitroara’e an-kavañonañe? Ie apo’e aolo’e ey o kilakila ondatio naho ampiambanè’e o mpanjakao? Idemohe’ i fibara’ey ho deboke, ahofahofa i fale’ey hoe t’ie kafo’e.
Who raised up the righteous [man] from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made [him] rule over kings? he gave [them] as the dust to his sword, [and] as driven stubble to his bow.
3 Niheañe’e iereo, nirefe tsy an-joy; an-dalañe mbe lia tsy niliam-pandia’e.
He pursued them, [and] passed safely; [even] by the way [that] he had not gone with his feet.
4 Ia ty nitsakore vaho nahatafetetse? Ie nikanjy o tariratseo am’baloha’e añe. Izaho Iehovà, ty valoha’e, vaho ty fara’e, Ie iRaho.
Who hath wrought and done [it], calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I [am] he.
5 Nañeveñe o tokonoseo te nahaoniñe; nihondrahondra o olon-taneo; nitotoke iereo vaho nimb’atoy.
The isles saw [it], and feared; the ends of the earth were afraid, drew near, and came.
6 Mifañimba o mpifankarineo, songa manao aman-drahalahi’e: Mihaozara.
They helped every one his neighbor; and [every one] said to his brother, Be of good courage.
7 Aa le hafatrare’ i mpandranjiy ty mpitsene volamena, risihe’ i mpamañe añ’ana-batoy i mipeke renem-batoy; le ata’e ty hoe i fanodirañey: Soa zao. Rekete’e am-pati-by tsy hitroetroe.
So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, [and] he that smootheth [with] the hammer him that smote the anvil, saying, It [is] ready for the sodering: and he fastened it with nails, [that] it should not be moved.
8 F’ihe Israele, mpitoroko, Iakobe jinoboko, tirin’ Avrahame Rañeko;
But thou, Israel, [art] my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.
9 Ie rinambeko añ’olo’ ty tane toy añe naho nitoka azo an-tsietoitane añe, nanao ty hoe ama’o: Mpitoroko irehe, jinoboko fa tsy nifarieko;
[Thou] whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said to thee, Thou [art] my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away.
10 Ko hemban-drehe, fa indrezako, ko mijilojilo: Izaho ro Andrianañahare’o; le hampaozareko toe hañimb’ azo iraho; Eka, ho tohanako an-tañan-kavanan- kavantàñako.
Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yes, I will help thee; yes, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
11 Toe fonga ho salareñe naho aliheñe ze navaivay ama’o; harotsake o nañatreatre azoo, hafotsake tsy ho vente’e.
Behold, all [they that were] incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that contend with thee shall perish.
12 Ho paia’o fa tsy ho isa’o o nifañotokotok’ ama’oo; ho hakoahañe o nialy ama’oo, vata’e kòake.
Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, [even] them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of naught.
13 Amy te Izaho Iehovà Andrianañahare’o ty mikalañe ty fità’o ankavana, hanoako ty hoe: Ko mirevendreven-drehe, Izaho ty hañolotse azo.
For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying to thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
14 Ko hembañe ry oletse Iakobe, ry ondati’ Israeleo, fa holoreko, hoe t’Iehovà Mpijebañe azo, i Masi’ Israeley.
Fear not, thou worm Jacob, [and] ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
15 Ingo rinanjiko ho fandisañan-drehe, reketse nife masioñe; ho lisane’o o vohitseo, ho demohe’o, vaho hanoe’o kafo o tambohoo.
Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat [them] small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.
16 Ho tsongae’o, le hahofa’ i tiokey mb’eo, naho haboele’ i tangololahiy; naho hirebeha’o ty tahina’ Iehovà, handia-taroba amy Masi’ Israeley.
Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, [and] shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.
17 Mipay rano o rarakeo naho o poi’eo, fe tsy eo, kantañe an-karan-drano’e ty famele’ iareo; izaho Iehovà ty hanoiñe iareo, Tsy haforintseko; izaho Andrianañahare’ Israele.
[When] the poor and needy seek water, and [there is] none, [and] their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, [I] the God of Israel will not forsake them.
18 Hanokafako torahañe o haboan-diolioo, naho rano manganahana añivo’ o vavataneo; hanoako sihanake lifo-drano ty fatrambey naho rano mipororoake o tane kankañeo.
I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
19 Hapoko an-dratraratra ao ty mendorave naho ty roy, ty akao naho ty olive; hadoko an-diolio ao ty sohihy, reketse ty harandranto, vaho ty kobaiñe.
I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah-tree, and the myrtle, and the oil-tree; I will set in the desert the fir-tree, the pine, and the box-tree together:
20 Soa t’ie hahaisake naho haharendreke hitsakore naho hitrao-kilala te nanoem-pità’ Iehovà zao, vaho tsinene’ i Masi’ Israeley.
That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.
21 Aboaho ty enta’ areo, hoe t’Iehovà; akaro ty filiera’ areo, hoe t’i Mpanjaka’ Iakobe.
Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong [reasons], saith the King of Jacob.
22 Ee t’ie hakare’areo, hitsey ama’ay o hifetsakeo; o raha taoloo, te inoñe? Atalilio hitsakorea’ay, hahafohina’ay ty figadoña’e; he taroño ama’ay o raha ho avio.
Let them bring [them] forth, and show us what shall happen: let them show the former things, what they [are] that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare to us things to come.
23 Itokio o raha mbe hiheo amy añeio, hahafohina’ay t’ie ndrahare; ke anò ty soa, he anò ty raty, hisamba’ay, hitraofa’ay fañeveñañe.
Show the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye [are] gods: yes, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold [it] together.
24 Toe tsy manjofake nahareo, koake o sata’ areoo. Avivivioke ty mifale ama’areo.
Behold, ye [are] of nothing, and your work of naught: an abomination [is he that] chooseth you.
25 Fa nitsekafeko i tavaratse añey, le fa pok’eo, boak’ am-panjiriha’ i àndroy añe; ie hitoka ty añarako vaho hivotrak’ amo mpifeheo hoe an-dietse, manahake ty fandialiàm-panao valàñe-tane i lietsey.
I have raised up [one] from the north, and he shall come: from the rising of the sun shall he call upon my name: and he shall come upon princes as [upon] mortar, and as the potter treadeth clay.
26 Ia ty nitsey boak’ am-baloha’e haharendreha’ay: naho haehae añe, hahavolaña’ay t’ie to? Toe tsy amam-mpitaroñe, eka, leo raike tsy mitalily, toe tsy eo ty mahajanjiñe o lañona’oo.
Who hath declared from the beginning, that we may know? and before time, that we may say, [He is] righteous? verily, [there is] none that showeth, verily, [there is] none that declareth, verily, [there is] none that heareth your words.
27 Izaho ty valoha’e nañitrik’ amy Tsione ty hoe: Heheke, ingo iereo; vaho hiraheko mb’e Ierosalaime mb’eo ty hinday talily soa.
The first [shall say] to Zion, Behold, behold them: and I will give to Jerusalem one that bringeth good tidings.
28 Mañente iraho, fe tsy ama’ ondaty; naho tsy amam-pamere, ie ho nañontaneako hahavalea’e.
For I beheld, and [there was] no man; even among them, and [there was] no counselor, that, when I asked of them, could answer a word.
29 Heheke fonga tsy vokatse, tsy jefa’e o sata’ iareoo, toe tioke naho hakoahañe avao o sare fatrana’ iareoo.
Behold, they [are] all vanity, their works [are] nothing: their molten images [are] wind and confusion.
