< Isaia 40 >

1 Hohò, Hohò, ondatikoo, hoe t’i Andrianañahare’ areo.
Comfort ye, comfort ye My people, saith your God.
Bid Jerusalem take heart, and proclaim unto her, that her time of service is accomplished, that her guilt is paid off; that she hath received of the LORD'S hand double for all her sins.
3 Inao ty fiarañanañañe mikoike: Anataho lalañe am-patrambey añe t’Iehovà. Ampimirao lalambey an-dratraratra añe t’i Andrianañahare.
Hark! one calleth: 'Clear ye in the wilderness the way of the LORD, make plain in the desert a highway for our God.
4 Haonjoñe iaby ze atao goledoñe, naho haketrake iaby o tambohoo ho vàñeñe ze manongatonga, naho hampimiraeñe ze migodeogodeoñe;
Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the rugged shall be made level, and the rough places a plain;
5 le haboake ty enge’ Iehovà, vaho hiharo handrendrek’ aze ze atao nofotse, izay ty nitsaram-palie’ Iehovà.
And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.'
6 Inao ty fiarañanañañe manao ty hoe: Koiho, le hoe ty natoi’e: Ino ty ho koiheko? Ahetse iaby ze atao nofotse, le hoe voñe an-teteke ao ty hasoa’e.
Hark! one saith: 'Proclaim!' And he saith: 'What shall I proclaim?' 'All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field;
7 Miheatse o ahetseo, mihintsañe o voñe’eo, kanao tiofe’ ty kofòn’ Añahare, toe ahetse ondatio.
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth; because the breath of the LORD bloweth upon it — surely the people is grass.
8 Miheatse o ahetseo, mihintsañe o voñe’eo, fe mijadoñe nainai’e ty tsaran’ Añaharen-tikañe.
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth; but the word of our God shall stand for ever.'
9 O ry Tsione mpitaroñe entan-tsoao mañambonea vohitse abo; ry Ierosalaime mpanese talily soao poñafo an-koike ty fiarañanaña’o, aonjono, le ko hembañe; saontsio ty hoe o rova’ Iehodào: Ingo t’i Andrianañahare’ areo!
O thou that tellest good tidings to Zion, get thee up into the high mountain; O thou that tellest good tidings to Jerusalem, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah: 'Behold your God!'
10 Hehe, te hitotsak’ an-kaozarañe t’i Talè Iehovà; hifehe am-pità’e; Ingo, te ama’e i tambe’ey, añatrefa’e o vale-soa’eo.
Behold, the Lord GOD will come as a Mighty One, and His arm will rule for Him; behold, His reward is with Him, and His recompense before Him.
11 Manahake ty mpiarake miandrazañe i mpirai-lia’ey naho manontontoñe o vik’añondri’eo am-pità’e ie otroñe’e añ’araña’e eo, vaho manehak’ ty mampinono mora mb’eo.
Even as a shepherd that feedeth his flock, that gathereth the lambs in his arm, and carrieth them in his bosom, and gently leadeth those that give suck.
12 Ia ty nanovy o ranoo an-dela-pità’e, naho nanjehe i likerañey an-kiho’e, naho nañiake ty debo’ ty tane toy am-pañaranañe, naho nandanja o vohitseo am-pandanjàñe, vaho o tambohoo am-balantsy?
Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
13 Ia ty nanoro i Arofo’ Iehovà, he ia ty mpañana’e mañòk’ aze?
Who hath meted out the spirit of the LORD? Or who was His counsellor that he might instruct Him?
14 Ia ty niharoa’e safiry, ia ty nampahafohiñe aze, ia ty nanoro aze i lalam-bantañey, naho nampandrendreke aze ty hilala vaho nañòke aze i oloñolon-kihitsey?
With whom took He counsel, and who instructed Him, and taught Him in the path of right, and taught Him knowledge, and made Him to know the way of discernment?
15 Toe tsopake an-tsajoa ao ze kilakila ondaty, iaheñe hoe deboke am-pingam-balantsy, vaho lanjaeñe hoe lemboke o tokonoseo.
Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance; behold the isles are as a mote in weight.
16 Tsy ampe horoañe ty Lebanone, tsy mahaenen-kisoroñañe o bibi’eo.
And Lebanon is not sufficient fuel, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for burnt-offerings.
17 Hoe hakoahañe añatrefa’e o fifeheañ’ iabio, volilien-ko tsy vente’e, ie ambane’ ty hatao kapaike.
All the nations are as nothing before Him; they are accounted by Him as things of nought, and vanity.
18 Hirinkiriñe’o ama’ ia arè t’i Andrianañahare? vintan’ inoñe ty hampanahafe’o ama’e?
To whom then will ye liken God? Or what likeness will ye compare unto Him?
19 Hera i saren-draha natrana’ i mpitseney, naho nipakora’ i mpanefe-volamenay volamena, vaho nandranjia’ i mpanefe-volafotiy silisily volafoty?
The image perchance, which the craftsman hath melted, and the goldsmith spread over with gold, the silversmith casting silver chains?
20 Le eo ty rarake tsy mahalefe enga, joboñe’e ty hatae tsy ho momoke; paiae’e ty mpandranjy mahimbañe handranjy saren-draha tsy hitroetroe.
A holm-oak is set apart, he chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning craftsman to set up an image, that shall not be moved.
21 Tsy fohi’o hao? Tsy jinanji’o hao? Tsy natalily ama’o am-pifotora’e añe hao? Tsy nirendre’o hao o manànta’ ty tane toio?
Know ye not? hear ye not? Hath it not been told you from the beginning? Have ye not understood the foundations of the earth?
22 Ie ty miambesatse ambone’ ty fibontolia’ ty tane toy, o mpimone’eo ro manahake kijeja; Ie ty mandamake o likerañeo hoe lamba fañefetse, vaho mamelatse iereo hoe kivohom-pañialoañe.
It is He that sitteth above the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in;
23 Ie ty mamotsake roandriañe ho hakoahañe, naho ampinjarie’e ho tsy vente’e o mpizaka’ ty tane toio.
That bringeth princes to nothing; He maketh the judges of the earth as a thing of nought.
24 Ie vaho nitongisañe, aniany te nararake; le namahatse an-tane ao o taho’eo; vaho miheatse t’ie tiofe’e, endese’ o tangololahio añe hoe ahe-maike.
Scarce are they planted, scarce are they sown, scarce hath their stock taken root in the earth; when He bloweth upon them, they wither, and the whirlwind taketh them away as stubble.
25 Aa le hampanahafe’ areo ama’ ia te Izaho ro hambañe ama’e? Hoe i Masiñey.
To whom then will ye liken Me, that I should be equal? saith the Holy One.
26 Ampiandrandrao mb’añ’abo ey o fihaino’oo, mahaisaha: ia ty namboatse iareo? I mañakatse ty havasiaña’ iareo ami’ty ia’ey, hene kanjie’e amy tahina’ey, naho amy hara’elahin-kaozara’ey vaho am-panjofahan-kafatrara’e, leo raike tsy mikipe.
Lift up your eyes on high, and see: who hath created these? He that bringeth out their host by number, He calleth them all by name; by the greatness of His might, and for that He is strong in power, not one faileth.
27 Ino ty atao’o ty hoe, O Iakobe, naho saontsie’o ty hoe: Ry Israele, Mietake am’ Iehovà ty liako, tsy ahoan’ Añahareko o zokoo.
Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel: 'My way is hid from the LORD, and my right is passed over from my God'?
28 Mboe tsy fohi’o hao? Tsy jinanji’o hao te tsy mitoirañe, tsy mokotse t’i Andrianañahare nainai’e, Iehovà Andrianamboatse o olon-taneo? Tsy taka-tsikaraheñe o hilala’eo.
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? His discernment is past searching out.
29 Ampaozare’e o midazidazìtseo; vaho hafatrare’e o tsy maozatseo.
He giveth power to the faint; and to him that hath no might He increaseth strength.
30 Ndra te toirañe naho màmake o ajalahio, vaho mikoletra ty fanalolahy;
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall;
31 Ho vaoen-kaozarañe o mahaliñe Iehovào; hionjoñe amañ’elatse hoe vantio; hilay fa tsy ho vozake, hinokitse fa tsy ho toirañe.
But they that wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.
