< Isaia 31 >
1 Feh-ohatse amo mizotso mb’e Mitsraime mb’eo hipay olotse, miato aman-tsoavala, naho mirampy an-tsarete kanao maro, vaho amo mpiningitse ama’eo katao maozatse; f’ie tsy mitolike amy Masi’ Israele, tsy paia’ iareo t’Iehovà!
Woe to those that go down to Egypt for help; and depend for support on horses, and trust on chariots, because they are many; and on horsemen, because they are very strong; but who turn not unto the Holy One of Israel, and seek not the Lord!
2 Fa mahihitse ka re hindesa’e hankàñe, vaho tsy hampoli’e o tsara’eo; f’ie hiongake hiatreatre ty anjomba’ o lo-tserekeo naho ty fañimba’ o mikitro-karatiañeo.
Yet he also is wise, and bringeth evil, and taketh not back his words; and riseth up against the house of evil-doers, and against the help of those that work injustice.
3 Ondaty ‘nio o nte-Mitsraimeo fa tsy Andrianañahare, naho nòfotse o soavala’eo fa tsy angatse; aa le hatora-kitsi’ Iehovà ty fità’e, le hitsikapy ty mpañimba naho hikorovoke i imbaeñey, vaho songa hitrao-pihotrake.
But the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses are flesh, and not spirit; and the Lord will stretch out his hand, and there shall stumble the helper, and he that is helped shall fall down, and they all shall perish together.
4 Fa hoe t’Iehovà amako: Hambañe ami’ty liona naho ty liona tora’e, ie mitromoroñe ambone’ i nitsàtsa’ey, ndra te maro ty mpiarak’añondry nikoiheñe ty ama’e, tsy mañembañe aze ty feo’ iareo, tsy mañembetse aze ty fikorà’ iareo; izay ty hizotsoa’ Iehovà’ i Màroy hialia’e am-bohi-Tsione, naho an-kaboa’e eo;
For thus hath said the Lord unto me, Just as the lion or the young lion growleth over his prey, against whom is called forth the company of shepherds, of whose voice he is not afraid, and is not depressed because of their multitude: thus will the Lord come down, to fight on mount Zion and on its hill.
5 Manahake ty fihelahela’ o voroñeo, ty hañarova’ Iehovà’ i Màroy t’Ierosalaime; katao mañaro, mamotsotse, kanao ihelaña’e ambone, mandrombake.
As fluttering birds, so will the Lord of hosts shield Jerusalem; shielding and delivering; sparing and preserving.
6 Mitoliha amy loho niolà’ areoy, ry ana’ Israeleo.
Turn ye unto him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.
7 Ie amy andro zay, songa hañary ze sare-sokim-bolafoti’e naho o saren-draha volamena’eo, o tsinene am-pitañe aman-kakeoo.
For on that day shall every man despise his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.
8 Toe hampikorovohe’ ty fibara tsy a’ ondaty ty Asore; ty fibara tsy a’ ondaty ty hamotsek’ aze; aa le tsy hibotatsaha’e i fibaray, vaho ho mpitorom-pamorekèke o ajalahi’eo.
Then shall Asshur fall by the sword of one who is not a man; and the sword of one who is not a son of earth shall devour him; and he shall flee him from the sword, and his young men shall become tributary.
9 Hihelañe añe am-pirevendreveñañe i hafatrara’ey, naho hitsolofìñe amy saiñey o mpifehe’eo, hoe t’Iehovà, an-Tsione ao ty afo’e vaho e Ierosalaime ao ty toña’e.
And his stronghold shall pass away for fear, and his princes shall be terrified because of the ensign, saith the Lord, who hath a fire in Zion, and a furnace in Jerusalem.
