< Isaia 13 >
1 Nibekoe’ Iesaià ana’ i Amotse i Bavele amy nioni’ey.
THE VISION WHICH ESAIAS SON OF AMOS SAW AGAINST BABYLON.
2 Ampitroaro viloñe am-bohits’abo ey, ipoñafo feo, mañelahelà fitañe, himoaha’ iareo an-dalam-bein-droandriañe ao.
Lift up a standard on the mountain of the plain, exalt the voice to them, beckon with the hand, open [the gates], you rulers.
3 Fa liniliko o neferakoo naho kinoiko o manjofakoo, o mahimbañe naho rototseo ty amy habosehakoy.
I give command, and I bring them: giants are coming to fulfil my wrath, rejoicing at the same time and insulting.
4 Inay ty rehoreho am-bohitse eñe, hoe ondaty mitozantozañe! Inao ty fikoraha’ ty fitontona’ o fifehea’ o kilakila ‘ndatio! Tehafe’ Iehovà’ i Màroy o valobohòkeo hihotakotake.
A voice of many nations on the mountains, [even] like [to that] of many nations; a voice of kings and nations gathered together: the Lord of hosts has given command to a warlike nation,
5 Boak’ an-tsietoitane añe iereo, boak’ am-pigadoña’ i likerañey añe, —Iehovà, naho o fialiam-pifombo’eo— handrotsake i tane iabiy.
to come from a land afar off, from the utmost foundation of heaven; the Lord and his warriors [are coming] to destroy all the world.
6 Mangololoiha; fa antitotse ty andro’ Iehovà; toe fandrotsahañe boak’ amy El-Sadai ty hivotraha’e;
Howl you, for the day of the Lord is near, and destruction from God shall arrive.
7 Hene higebañe amy zao o fitañeo, vaho songa hitranake ty arofo’ ondaty.
Therefore every hand shall become powerless, and every soul of man shall be dismayed.
8 Hangebahebake iereo; hamihiñe iareo ty hativontivoñe naho ty fisintosintoñe; le hanahake ty fitsongoan-ampela ty fanaintaiña’ iareo; ho veren-draha hifampitorìtotse; ho tarehe mibelabela-afo ty lahara’ iareo.
The elders shall be troubled, and pangs shall seize them, as of a woman in travail: and they shall mourn one to another, and shall be amazed, and shall change their countenance as a flame.
9 Inao, antitotse ty andro’ Iehovà, hasarerahañe, filoroloro naho fifombo miforoforo, hampangotomomoke i taney, vaho hamongotse o lo-tsereke ama’eo.
For behold! the day of the Lord is coming which can’t be escaped, [a day] of wrath and anger, to make the world desolate, and to destroy sinners out of it.
10 Le tsy hañomey ty hazavà’e o vasian-dikerañeo naho o fitoboroña’eo, ho maieñe i àndroy te manjirike, vaho tsy hampaviahe’ i volañey ty hazavà’e.
For the stars of heaven, and Orion, and all the host of heaven, shall not give their light; and it shall be dark at sunrise, and the moon shall not give her light.
11 Ho liloveko ty tane toy ty amo hakeo’ iareoo, o tsy vokatseo ty amo tahi’ iareoo, le haziko ty firengevoha’ o mpiebotsebotseo, vaho hazevoko ambane ty fireñeta’ o mpamorekekeo.
And I will command evils for the whole world, and [will visit] their sins on the ungodly: and I will destroy the pride of transgressors, and will bring low the pride of the haughty.
12 Hanoeko loho sarotse ta ty volamena hiringiri’e t’indaty; le ambone’ ty vongam-bolamena’ i Ofirey ondatio.
And they that are left shall be more precious than gold tried in the fire; and a man shall be more precious than the stone that is in Suphir.
13 Aa le hampiezeñezeñeko o likerañeo, naho hahifikifike tsy ho amy toe’ey ty tane toy, ty ami’ty fifombo’ Iehovà’ i Màroy, amy andron-kaviñera’e miloroloroy.
For the heaven shall be enraged, and the earth shall be shaken from her foundation, because of the fierce anger of the Lord of hosts, in the day in which his wrath shall come on.
14 Ho tondroke amy zay t’ie hanahake ty farasy rinoake naho ty añondry tsy amam-pamory sindre milay mb’an-tane’e mb’eo, songa himpoly mb’am’ondati’eo.
And they that are left shall be as a fleeing fawn, and as a stray sheep, and there shall be none to gather [them]: so that a man shall turn back to his people, and a man shall flee to his own land.
15 Ho tomboheñe iaby ze zoeñe, vaho hene hampikorovohem-pibara ze tsinepake.
For whoever shall be taken shall be overcome; and they that are gathered together shall fall by the sword.
16 Ho demodemoheñe añatrefam- pihaino’iareo o anak’ajaja’ iareoo; ho kopaheñe ty anjomba’ iareo, vaho ho vahorañe ty rakemba’ iareo.
And they shall dash their children before their eyes; and they shall spoil their houses, and shall take their wives.
17 Eka, ho troboheko am’ iareo o nte-Madaio, o tsy mañaom-bolafotio; ndra volamena tsy ifalea’e.
Behold, I will stir up against you the Medes, who do not regard silver, neither have they need of gold.
18 Ho trofatrofahem-pale o ajalahio; tsy ho ferenaiña’ iareo ty vokan-koviñe; tsy ho tretrezem-pihaino’e o ajajao.
They shall break the bows of the young men; and they shall have no mercy on your children; nor shall their eyes spare your children.
19 I Bavele amy zao, i volonahe’ o fifeheañeoy, i fisengea’ o nte-Kasdio fanjakay: le hanahake ty fandrotsahan’Añahare i Sedome naho i Amorà.
And Babylon, which is called glorious by the king of the Chaldeans, shall be as [when] God overthrew Sodoma, and Gomorrha.
20 Le lia’e tsy ho amam-pimoneñe, vaho tsy hañialo ao o tariratse mifandimbeo; tsy hañoren-kivoho eo t’i nte-Arabe, tsy hamahetse goloboñe ao o mpiarakeo.
It shall never be inhabited, neither shall any enter into it for many generations: neither shall the Arabians pass through it; nor shall shepherds at all rest in it.
21 Toe ho fandrea’ o fanalokeo; ho àtseke ty ontsoñontsoñe o anjomba’ iareoo, himoneñe ao o voron-tsatrañeo, vaho hitsinjake ao o lolo miogogoo.
But wild beasts shall rest there; and the houses shall be filled with howling; and monsters shall rest there, and devils shall dance there, and satyrs shall dwell there; and hedgehogs shall make their nests in their houses. It will come soon, and will not wait.
22 Hañaolo añ’anjomba-hara’ iareo ao o maràmboloo naho o amboa sirasirao an-toe’ iareo fanjakao; fa antitotse ty amotoañañe aze, vaho tsy haesoñe o andro’eo.
