< Habakoka 2 >
1 Hijohañe am-pijilovako eo iraho, hijadoñe am-pitalakesañ’ abo ey, hañilo mb’alafe’e mb’eo handrèndreke ze ho tsarae’e amako, naho ze hatoiko t’ie hiveroke.
I will stand at my watch, and set myself on the ramparts, and will look out to see what he will say to me, and what I will answer concerning my complaint.
2 Nanoiñe ahy t’Iehovà ami’ty hoe: Sokiro i aroñaroñey, bakabakafo an-takelake, hahavakia’ondaty milay.
The LORD answered me, "Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he who runs may read it.
3 Ho amy andro namantañañ’ azey i tokiy, i figadoñañey ro enta’e, le tsy handañitse ndra t’ie tambatse, liñiso, toe ho tondroke le tsy hihenekeneke.
For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won't prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come, and it won't delay.
4 Heheke ty miebotsebots’ an-troke, tsy vañoñe ty ama’e ao; fe veloñe amy fatokisa’ey ty vantañe.
Look, if he holds back, my soul has no pleasure in him, but the righteous will live by faith.
5 Mbore fañahie’ ty divay ty mpirengevoke tsy ho tamàñe añ’akiba’e ao, fa ampienare’e hoe i Tsikeokeokey ty fañiria’e, manahake o vilasio t’ie tsy mb’ia tsy etsake, fa atonto’e ama’e ze hene fifeheañe, ampitoabore’e ama’e ze kila ondaty. (Sheol )
And moreover, wealth is treacherous; a proud man will not endure. He enlarges his desire as Sheol, and he is like death, and can't be satisfied. He gathers all nations to himself, and collects to himself all peoples. (Sheol )
6 Aa vaho tsy songa handrambe razan-drehake ama’e irezay, handrabioñe aze an-titse, ami’ty hoe: Hankàñe amy nanontoñe ty tsy azey! akore ty hatrela’ ty nilogologoa’e tsoake!
Won't all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, 'Woe to him who increases that which is not his, and who enriches himself by extortion. How long?'
7 Tsy hitroatse amy zao hao o mipay avak’ ama’oo? tsy ho tsekake hao o mampinevenevetse azo? ihe ho fikopaha’e.
Won't your debtors rise up suddenly, and wake up those who make you tremble, and you will be their victim?
8 Aa kanao nikopahe’o o kilakila’ondatio, le ho volose’ o sehanga’ ondatio ka irehe; ty amo lio’ ondatio, naho i heloke nanoañe amy taney, naho amy rovaiy, vaho amo hene mpimoneñeo.
Because you have plundered many nations, all the remnant of the peoples will plunder you, because of men's blood, and for the violence done to the land, to the city and to all who dwell in it.
9 Hekoheko amy mpikatramo vara ho a i anjomba’eiy, hañonjona’e ambone ey i kiboho’ey, hivotsora’e ami’ty haozara’ o ratio!
Woe to him who gets an evil gain for his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the hand of evil.
10 fa nikinia’o hasalarañe ty akiba’o hañitoa’o t’indaty maro, vaho amam-kakeo am-bata’o.
You have devised shame to your house, by cutting off many peoples, and have sinned against your soul.
11 Hikoike boak’an-drindriñe ao ty vato, hanoiñe aze i tsotsòke boak’ an-katae aoy:
For the stone will cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the woodwork will answer it.
12 Hankàñe! ty mpamboatse rova an-dio, ie mañoren-tanàñe an-tahiñe.
Woe to him who builds a town with blood, and establishes a city by iniquity.
13 Inao! tsy Iehovà’ i Màroy ty amokora’ ondaty ho ami’ty afo, naho ty amozaha’ o fifeheañeo ho an-kakoahañe.
Look, isn't it of the LORD of hosts that the peoples labor for the fire, and the nations weary themselves for vanity?
14 Toe ho lifotse ty fahafohinañe ty enge’ Iehovà ty tane toy, manahake ty fañampoan-drano i riakey.
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
15 Hankàñe ami’ty mampigenoke i rañe’ey, ie izonjoña’e i zonjòñey, hampijik’ aze am-bòreke, hisamba’e i heña’ey!
"Woe to him who gives his neighbor drink, pouring your inflaming wine until they are drunk, so that you may gaze at their naked bodies.
16 Àtsan-kasalaran-drehe fa tsy engeñe, minoma ka, ho zoeñe t’ie tsy sinavatse, hitoliha’ ty fitovim-pitàn-kavana’ Iehovà, ho losore’ ty hameñarañe ty enge’o.
You are filled with shame, and not glory. You will also drink, and be exposed. The cup of the LORD's right hand will come around to you, and disgrace will cover your glory.
17 Hanaroñ’ azo ty fijoiañe i Libanone, naho ty fanjamanañe biby nampalý iareo; ty ami’ty lio’ ondatio naho ty fampiantoañe i taney, i rovay, vaho o mpimoneñe ao iabio.
For the violence done to Lebanon will overwhelm you, and the destruction of the animals, which made them afraid; because of men's blood, and for the violence done to the land, to every city and to those who dwell in them.
18 Ino ty tombo’ i sare-sokitsey, ie tsinene ty nanao aze, sare nitranaheñe naho mpañoke vande; t’ie iatoa’ i mpandranjy azey hanoe’e samposampo moañe?
"What value does the engraved image have, that its maker has engraved it; the molten image, even the teacher of lies, that he who fashions its form trusts in it, to make mute idols?
19 Hekoheko ami’ty manao ty hoe ami’ty hatae: Mañentea! naho amy vato moañey: Miongaha! Mahafanoro hao izay? Hehe t’ie nohoñem-bolamena naho volafoty, fe tsy aman-kofòke.
Woe to him who says to the wood, 'Awake.' or to the mute stone, 'Arise.' Shall this teach? Look, it is overlaid with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in its midst.
20 Añ’anjomba’e masiñe ao t’Iehovà; mianjìña añatrefa’e eo ry an-tane-bey atoy.
But the LORD is in his holy temple. Let all the earth be silent before him."
