< Ezra 8 >

1 Irezao ro mpiaolon-droae naho ty fiantoño’ o nindre amako boak’ am-pifehea’ i Artaksastà mpanjaka, nionjomb’eo boake Baveleo:
Now, these, are their ancestral heads, and their genealogical register, —even of those who came up with me, in the reign of Artaxerxes the king, out of Babylon: —
2 Tamo ana’ i Pinekaseo: i Gersome; amo ana’ Itamareo, i Daniele; tamo ana’ i Davideo, i Hatose.
Of the sons of Phinehas, Gershom, of the sons of Ithamar, Daniel, —of the sons of David, Hattush;
3 Tamo ana’ i Sekaniào, amo ana’ i Paroseo, i Zekarià reketse ty zato-tsi-limampolo nivolilieñe ami’ty fiantoño’ o lahilahio.
Of the sons of Shecaniah, of the sons of Parosh, Zechariah, —and, with him—by genealogical registry of males, a hundred and fifty:
4 Tamo ana’ i Pakate-moabeo; i Elihoenay ana’ i Zerakià reketse ty lahilahy roanjato.
Of the sons of Pahath-moab, Eliehoenai, son of Zerahiah, —and, with him, two hundred males;
5 Tamo ana’ i Sekaniào, i Zatò, ana’ Iakaziele, reketse ty lahilahy telonjato.
Of the sons of Zattu, Shecaniah, the son of Jehaziel, —and, with him, three hundred males;
6 Le tamo ana’ i Adineo, i Ebede ana’ Ionatane, reketse ty lahilahy limampolo.
And, of the sons of Adin, Ebed, son of Jonathan, —and, with him, fifty males;
7 Le tamo ana’ i Elameo, Iesaia ana’ i Atalia, reketse ty lahilahy fitompolo.
And, of the sons of Elam, Jeshaiah, son of Athaliah, —and, with him, seventy males;
8 Le tamo ana’ i Sefatiào, i Zebadià, ana’ i Mikaele, reketse ty lahilahy valompolo.
And, of the sons of Shephatiah, Zebadiah, son of Michael, —and, with him, eighty males;
9 Tamo ana’ Ioabeo, i Obadià, ana’ Iekiele, reketse ty lahilahy roanjato-tsi-folo-valo’ amby.
Of the sons of Joab, Obadiah, son of Jehiel, and, with him, two hundred and eighteen males;
10 Le tamo ana’ i Banio, i Selomite, ana’ Iosifià, rekets ty lahilahy zato-tsi-enempolo.
And, of the sons of Bani, Shelomith, son of Josiphiah, —and, with him, a hundred and sixty males;
11 Le tamo ana’ i Bebaio; i Zekarià, ana’ i Bebay, reketse ty lahilahy roapolo-valo’ amby.
And, of the sons of Bebai, Zechariah, son of Bebai, and, with him, twenty-eight males;
12 Le tamo ana’ i Azgadeo; Iohanane, ana’ i Hakatane, reketse ty lahilahy zato-tsi-folo.
And, of the sons of Azgad, Johanan, son of Hakkatan, —and, with him, a hundred and ten males;
13 Le tamo ana’ i Adonikameo, o tsitso’eo; zao o tahina’eo, i Elifelete, Ieiele naho i Semaià, reketse ty lahilahy enempolo.
And, of the later sons of Adonikam, these being their names, Eliphelet, Jeuel, and Shemaiah, —and, with them, sixty males;
14 Le tamo ana’ i Bigvaio, i Otay naho i Zakore, reketse ty lahilahy fitompolo.
And, of the sons of Bigvai, Uthai and Zabbud, —and, with him, seventy males.
15 Le hene natontoko amy saka mivariñe mb’e Ahava mb’eoy; naho nitobe eo telo andro, nisary ondatio naho o mpisoroñeo fe leo raik’ amo nte-Levio tsy nizoeñe ao.
And I gathered them together, unto the river that cometh into Ahava, and we encamped there three days, —and I informed myself among the people and the priests, and, of the sons of Levi, found I none there.
16 Aa le tinokako t’i Eliezere, i Ariele, i Semaià naho i Elnatane naho Iaribe naho i Elnatane naho i Natane naho i Zekarià naho i Mesolame, mpiaolo; naho Ioiaribe vaho i Elnatane, mpañoke.
So I sent for Eliezer, for Ariel, for Shemaiah, and for Elnathan, and for Jarib, and for Elnathan, and for Nathan, and for Zechariah, and for Meshullam, chief men, —also for Joiarib and for Elnathan, teachers.
17 Le nafantoko am’iareo ty homb’ amy Ido mpiaolo mb’an-toetse atao Kasifia naho vinolako am’iereo ty ho asa’ iareo amy Ido naho amo rahalahi’e mitoroñe an-toe’ i Kasifiao, ty hinday mpitoroñe mb’amy anjomban’ Añaharey.
And I sent them forth unto Iddo the chief, at the place Casiphia, —and I put into their mouth words, to speak unto Iddo and his brethren the Nethinim, at the place Casiphia, to bring unto us attendants for the house of our God.
18 Aa ty am-pitàn-tsoan’ Añahare’ay ama’ay le nandesa’ iareo ondaty mahihitse, ty ana’ i Maklý, ana’ i Levy, ana’ Israele, toe i Serebià rekets’ o ana’eo naho o rahalahi’eo, folo-valo’ amby;
So they brought unto us, according to the good hand of our God upon us, a man of discretion, of the sons of Mahli, son of Levi, son of Israel, —and Sherebiah, and his sons and his brethren, eighteen;
19 naho i Kasabià; le nindre ama’e t’Iesaià tamo ana’ i Merario, o rahalahy naho ana-dahi’ iareoo, roapolo;
and Hashabiah, and, with him, Jeshaiah, of the sons of Merari, —his brethren and their sons, twenty;
20 vaho tamo nte-Natoneo, o natolo’ i Davide naho o roandriañeo am-pitoroñañe o nte-Levio; nte-Natone roan-jato-tsi-roapolo songa tinoñoñe amy tahina’ey.
and, of the Nethinim whom David and the rulers had given for the service of the Levites, Nethinim, two hundred and twenty, —all of them, expressed by name.
21 Aa le nitsey fililiran-draho an-tsaka Ahavà eo, hiambanea’ay añatrefan’ Añahare’ay, hipay ama’e ty lalan-tsoa ho anay naho o keleia’aio vaho o vara’ay iabio.
Then proclaimed I there a fast, by the river Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, —to seek of him a smooth way, for us and for our little ones, and for all our substance.
22 Fa ho nisalatse iraho te nihalaly firimboñan-dahindefoñe naho mpiningi-tsoavala amy mpanjakay, hañolora’e anay amo malaso an-dalañeo; ie fa nisaontsy amy mpanjakay, ty hoe: Ty fitàn’ Añahare’ay ro amo mipay aze iabio ho an-kasoa; fe atreatré’e an-kaozarañe naho an-kaviñerañe o mamorintseñe azeo.
For I was ashamed to ask of the king, a band of soldiers and horsemen, to help us against the enemy in the way, because we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our God, is upon all who seek him, for good, But, his power and his anger, are against all who forsake him.
23 Aa le ie ty nililira’ay te nitsoek’ an’ Andrianañahare’ay; vaho vinale’e i halali’aiy.
So we fasted and sought of our God, concerning this, —and he suffered himself to be entreated by us.
24 Aa le navìko ty mpiaolom-pisoroñe folo-ro’amby—i Serebià naho i Kasabià vaho ty folo amo longo’ iareoo.
Then I separated, from among the rulers of the priests, twelve, —even Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and, with them, from among their brethren, ten;
25 Le linanjako am’ iereo i volafotiy naho i volamenay naho o fanakeo, i nengae’ i mpanjakay naho o mpanolo-keve’eo naho o roandria’eo naho o nte-Israele teo iabio, amy anjomban’ Añahare’aiy.
and weighed unto them, the silver and the gold, and the utensils, —the heave-offering for the house of our God, which the king and his counselors and his rulers and all Israel who were present, had offered:
26 Eka, linanjako am-pità’ iareo ty volafoty talenta enen-jato-tsi-limampolo naho ty fanake volafoty talenta zato naho ty volamena talenta zato;
I even weighed unto their hand, of silver, six hundred and fifty talents, and, of utensils of silver, a hundred talents, —of gold, a hundred talents;
27 naho koveta volamena roapolo, vilin-drala arivo; naho fanake roe an-torisike mikinokinoke, mañeva volamena.
and, bowls of gold, twenty, of a thousand drams, —and, utensils of fine bright bronze, two, precious as gold.
28 Le hoe ty asako am’ iereo, Miavake ho amy Iehovà nahareo, miavake ka o fanakeo; vaho nengaeñe an-tsatrin’ arofo am’ Iehovà Andrianañaharen-droae’ areo i volafotiy naho i volamenay.
Then said I unto them, Ye, are hallowed unto Yahweh, and, the utensils, are hallowed, —and, the silver and the gold, are a freewill offering, unto Yahweh, God of your fathers:
29 Ijilovo naho ambeno ampara’ t’ie lanjae’ areo amo mpiaolom-pisoroñeo naho amo nte-Levio naho amo roandrian’ anjomban-droae’ Israeleo e Ierosalaime añ’efen’ anjomba’ Iehovà ao.
Watch and guard, until ye weigh [them] before the rulers of the priests and the Levites and the ancestral rulers of Israel, in Jerusalem, —in the chambers of the house of Yahweh.
30 Aa le rinambe’ i mpisoroñe naho nte-Levy rey i volafoty naho volamena linanjay naho o fanakeo hendesa’ iareo mb’e Ierosalaime añe mb’añ’ anjomban’ Añahare’ay mb’eo.
So the priests and the Levites accepted the weight of the silver and the gold, and the utensils, —to bring to Jerusalem, unto the house of our God.
31 Aa le nienga i saka Ahavay zahay amy andro faha folo-ro’ambi’ i volam-baloha’eiy nionjone mb’e Ierosalaime mb’eo; naho tama’ay ty fitàn’Añahare’ay vaho rinomba’e am-pitàn-drafelahi’ay naho amy ze niampitse an-dalañe,
Then brake we up from the river of Ahava, on the twelfth of the first month, to journey unto Jerusalem, —and, the hand of our God, was upon us, and he delivered us from the grasp of the enemy and of the lier in wait, by the way.
32 le nivotrake e Ierosalaime ao vaho nitofa telo andro.
So we came to Jerusalem, —and we rested there, three days.
33 Ie amy andro fahefatsey le nandanja i volafotiy naho i volamenay naho o fanakeo, añ’anjomban’ Añahare’ay am-pità’ i Meremote, ana’ i Orià mpisoroñe; nindre tama’e t’i Elazare, ana’ i Pinekase; le nimpiama’ iareo t’Iozabade ana’ Iesoà naho i Noadià, ana’ i Binoy, songa nte-Levy;
And, on the fourth day, was weighed—the silver and the gold and the utensils, in the house of our God, unto the hand of Meremoth son of Uriah, the priest, and, with him, was Eleazar son of Phinehas, —and, with them, were Jozabad son of Jeshua and Noadiah son of Binnui, Levites:
34 ie iaby ami’ty ia’e naho an-danja’e; le sinokitse henane zay iaby i lanja’ey.
by the number and by the weight of the whole, —and all the weight, was written down, at that time.
35 Nañenga soroñe aman’ Añahare’ Israele o anam-pandrohizañe niboak’ am-paneseañeo, bania folo-ro’amby ho a Israele iaby, añondrilahy sivampolo-eneñ’ amby, vik’añondry fitompolo-fito’ amby vaho oselahy folo-ro’amby ho engan-kakeo; hene nisoroñañe am’ Iehovà.
They who came in out of the captivity, Sons of the Exile, offered as ascending-sacrifices unto the God of Israel—bullocks twelve for all Israel, rams ninety-six, young sheep seventy-seven, he-goats for bearing sin, twelve, —the whole, as an ascending-sacrifice unto Yahweh.
36 Le natolo’ iareo amo mpizaka’ i mpanjakaio naho amo mpifehe alafe’ i Sakaio i nampañitrifañey, vaho nimbae’ iereo ondatio naho i anjomban’ Añaharey.
Then delivered they the decrees of the king, unto the satraps of the king, and the pashas Beyond the River, —and they upheld the people and the house of God.
