< Ezra 7 >
1 Ie añe, le teo tam-pifehea’ i Artaksastà, mpanjaka’ i Parasey, t’i Ezrà, ana’ i Seraià, ana’ i Azarià, ana’ i Hilkià,
Now after these things, in the reign of Artaxerxes king of Persia, Ezra the son of Seraiah, the son of Azariah, the son of Hilkiah,
2 ana’ i Salome, ana’ i Tsadoke, ana’ i Akitobe,
The son of Shallum, the son of Zadok, the son of Ahitub,
3 ana’ i Amarià, ana’ i Azarià, ana’ i Meraiote,
The son of Amariah, the son of Azariah, the son of Meraioth,
4 ana’ i Zerakià, ana’ i Ozý, ana’ i Boký,
The son of Zerahiah, the son of Uzzi, the son of Bukki,
5 ana’ i Abisoà, ana’ i Pinekase, ana’ i Elazare, ana’ i Aharone, mpisorom-bey;
The son of Abishua, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the chief priest:
6 nionjoñe boake Bavele añe i Ezrà zay, ie mpanokitse mahimbañe amy Tsara’ i Mosè natolo’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’ Israele azey; vaho hene nitolora’ i mpanjakay ze nihalalia’e amy te tama’e ty fità’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’e.
This Ezra went from Babylon; and he [was] a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which the LORD God of Israel had given: and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the LORD his God upon him.
7 Nionjomb’e Ierosalaime mb’eo ty ila’ o ana’ Israeleo naho o mpisoroñeo naho o nte-Levio naho o mpisaboo naho o mpañambeñeo naho o Natolotseo an-taom-paha-fito’ i Artaksastà,
And there went [some] of the children of Israel, and of the priests, and the Levites, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinims, to Jerusalem, in the seventh year of Artaxerxes the king.
8 le nivotrake e Ierosalaime ao amy volam-paha-lime’ i taom-paha-fito’ i mpanjakaiy,
And he came to Jerusalem in the fifth month, which [was] in the seventh year of the king.
9 ie namototse amy andro valoha’ i volam-baloha’ey ty fionjona’e boake Bavele añe le nitotsake e Ierosalaime ao amy andro valoham-bolam-paha-limey ty amy fitàn-tsoan’ Añahare ama’ey.
For upon the first [day] of the first month he began to go from Babylon, and on the first [day] of the fifth month he came to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him.
10 Fa nihentseña’ i Ezra añ’ arofo’e ao ty hitsoeke i Tsara’ Iehovà naho ty hañorik’ aze naho ty hañòha’e e Israele ao o fañè naho fepè’eo.
For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do [it], and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.
11 Le zao ty dika-hamban-taratasy natolo’ i Artaksastà mpanjaka amy Ezra mpisoroñe, mpanokitse, toe nanokitse ty tsara’ o lili’ Iehovào naho fañè’eo ho a Israeley:
Now this [is] the copy of the letter that the king Artaxerxes gave to Ezra the priest, the scribe, [even] a scribe of the words of the commandments of the LORD, and of his statutes to Israel.
12 Artaksastà mpanjakam-panjaka, amy Ezra mpisoroñe, mpanoki-dilin’ Añaharen-dindiñey, fañanintsiñe. Ie henaneo
Artaxerxes, king of kings, To Ezra the priest, a scribe of the law of the God of heaven, perfect [peace], and at such a time.
13 mikoi-dava iraho te ze nte-Israele naho o mpisoro’eo miharo amo nte-Levy am-pifeheako atoio, ze mañiriñe an-tsatrin’ arofo’e ty hindre lia ama’o mb’e Ierosalaime mb’eo, le mionjona.
I make a decree, that all they of the people of Israel, and [of] his priests and Levites, in my realm, who are disposed of their own free will to go to Jerusalem, go with thee.
14 Amy te nirahe’ i mpanjakay naho i mpanolo-keve’e fito rey ama’o, hañontane Iehoda naho Ierosalaime ty amy lilin’ Añahare’o am-pità’oy;
Forasmuch as thou art sent by the king, and by his seven counselors, to inquire concerning Judah and Jerusalem, according to the law of thy God which [is] in thy hand;
15 naho ty hinday ty volamena naho volafoty natolo’ i mpanjakay naho i mpanolo-keve’e rey an-tsatrin’ arofo mb’ aman’ Añahare’ Israele, mpimoneñe e Ierosalaime ao
And to carry the silver and gold, which the king and his counselors have freely offered to the God of Israel, whose habitation [is] in Jerusalem,
16 naho ze hene volafoty naho volamena ho zoe’o am-pifehea’ i Bavele ao, reketse ty engan-tsatrin’ arofo’ ondatio naho o mpisoroñeo, ie songa manolotse an-tsatri’e añ’ anjomban’ Añahare’e e Ierosalaime ao;
And all the silver and gold that thou canst find in all the province of Babylon, with the free-will-offering of the people, and of the priests, offering willingly for the house of their God which [is] in Jerusalem:
17 aa le ho vilie’o an-kahimbañañe amy volay o baniao, o añondrilahio, o vik’añondrio, mindre amo enga-mahakama’eo naho o enga-rano’eo ie hisoroña’o amy kitrelin’ Anjomban’ Añahare’ areo e Ierosalaimey.
That thou mayest buy speedily with this money bullocks, rams, lambs, with their meat-offerings and their drink-offerings, and offer them upon the altar of the house of your God which [is] in Jerusalem.
18 Le ze atao’o naho o rahalahi’o ho soa anoeñe ami’ty sisa’ i volafoty naho volamenay; le ano ty amy satrin’ arofon’ Añahare’ areo.
And whatever shall seem good to thee, and to thy brethren, to do with the rest of the silver and gold, that do after the will of your God.
19 Natolotse azo ho amy fitoroñañe i anjomban’ Añahare’oy ka o fanakeo, aseseo añatrefan’ Añahare’ Ierosalaime ao.
The vessels also that are given thee for the service of the house of thy God, [those] deliver thou before the God of Jerusalem.
20 Aa ze tovo’e ho paiañe amy anjomban’ Añahare’oy, ze oni’o te azo tolorañe, le itoloro boak’ an-trañom-panontonam-baram-panjaka ao.
And whatever more shall be needful for the house of thy God, which thou shalt have occasion to bestow, bestow [it] out of the king's treasure-house.
21 Le izaho, eka izaho Artaksastà mpanjaka, ty mitsey amy ze hene mpamandrom-bara alafe’ i Sakay añe, te ze paia’ i Ezrà mpisoroñe, mpanoki-dilin’ Añaharen-dindiñey ama’ areo, le hanoeñe an-kahimbañañe,
And I, [even] I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers who [are] beyond the river, that whatever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily,
22 pak’ ami’ ty volafoty zato talenta naho ty vare-bolè zato kore naho ty divay zato bate naho ty menake zato bate vaho ty sira tsy amañ-iake.
To a hundred talents of silver, and to a hundred measures of wheat, and to a hundred baths of wine, and to a hundred baths of oil, and salt without prescribing [how much].
23 Ze lilie’ i Andrianañaharen-dikerañey, le ano am-pilozohañe amy anjomban’ Añaharen-dindiñey, soa tsy ho an-kaviñerañe ty fifehea’ i mpanjakay naho o ana’eo.
Whatever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven: for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?
24 Le afantok’ ama’ areo ty amo mpisoroñeo naho o nte-Levio, o mpisaboo, o mpañambeñeo, o mpitoroñeo naho o mpitoloñ’ añ’ anjomban’ Añahareo, te faly ty ipaiañe rorotse, ndra fondro ndra haba.
Also we certify you, that concerning any of the priests and Levites, singers, porters, Nethinims, or ministers of this house of God, it shall not be lawful to impose toll, tribute, or custom upon them.
25 Aa Ihe Ezrà, ty amy hihin’ Añahare’o am-pità’oy, le ampijadoño mpandily naho mpizaka, hahafizaka ondaty alafe’ i sakay añe iabio, ze hene mahafohiñe o lilin’ Añahare’oo; le anaro ze mboe tsy mahafohiñe.
And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God, that [is] in thy hand, set magistrates and judges, who may judge all the people that [are] beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye them that know [them] not.
26 Le ze tsy mete mañorike o lilin’ Añahare’oo naho ty lilim-panjaka, le afetsaho ama’e aniany ty zaka, ke t’ie havetrake, he hasese, hera hañafahañe vara, ke harohy.
And whoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether [it be] to death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.
27 Andriañeñe t’Iehovà Andrianañaharen-droaentikañe, te najo’e añ’arofo’ i mpanjakay, hampisomontie’e ty anjomba’ Iehovà e Ierosalaime ao;
Blessed [be] the LORD God of our fathers, who hath put [such a thing] as this in the king's heart, to beautify the house of the LORD which [is] in Jerusalem:
28 vaho nañitrike fiferenaiñañe amako añ’ atrefa’ i mpanjakay naho o mpanolo-keve’eo naho o roandriañe fatratse iabio. Le nampaozatse ahy te tamako ty fità’ Iehovà Andrianañahareko vaho namoriako mpiaolo ondaty boak’ Israele ao hitraok’ amako hionjoñe mb’eo.
And hath extended mercy to me before the king, and his counselors, and before all the king's mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the LORD my God [was] upon me, and I assembled out of Israel chief men to go up with me.
