< Ezekiela 17 >
1 Le niheo amako ty tsara’ Iehovà nanao ty hoe:
And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
2 O ana’ondatio, taroño ty razan-drehake, naho saontsio tafatoño ty anjomba’ Israele,
Son of man, put forth a riddle, and speak a parable to the house of Israel;
3 ami’ty hoe, Hoe ty nafè’ Iehovà Talè, Nivotrake e Libanone ao ty vantio ra’elahy, amañ’ elatse jabajaba naho elatse lava, nohoñem-bolo maro-volo vaho nipetake an-tsampa’ ty mendorave loho abo;
And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; A great eagle with great wings, long-winged, full of feathers, which had divers colors, came to Lebanon, and took the highest branch of the cedar:
4 tsinongo’e ty lengo’e naho nente’e mb’ an-tane bey tsena mb’eo; vaho navotra’e an-drovam-pampibalibalik’ ao.
He cropped off the top of its young twigs, and carried it into a land of traffick; he set it in a city of merchants.
5 Nangala’e ka ty tabiri’ i taney naho tinongi’e an-teteke kobokara ao; napo’e marine rano bei-henehene eo, vaho najado’e hoe solohotse.
He took also of the seed of the land, and planted it in a fruitful field; he placed [it] by great waters, [and] set it [as] a willow tree.
6 Nibotiboty re, ninjare vahe maro tsampa’e nandrevake naho petrake, vaho nitolike ama’e o singa’eo, fe ambane’e ao o vaha’eo. Aa le ninjare vahe re; nitirian-tora’e naho nampitakare’e mb’eo mb’eo o singa’eo.
And it grew, and became a spreading vine of low stature, whose branches turned towards him, and its roots were under him: so it became a vine, and brought forth branches, and shot forth sprigs.
7 Teo ka ty vantio ra’elahy amañ’ elatse jabajaba naho volo maro; le heheke te natola’ i vahey mb’ama’e o vaha’ eo, vaho nahiti’e mb’ama’e o tora’eo boak’ amy vavahaly namboleañe aze hanondraha’ey.
There was also another great eagle with great wings and many feathers: and behold, this vine did bend her roots towards him, and shot forth her branches towards him, that he might water it by the furrows of her plantation.
8 Toe nitongise’e an-tane soa marine rano mihenehene, hitiria’ o tora’eo, hiegoego ho vahe soa.
It was planted in a good soil by great waters, that it might bring forth branches, and that it might bear fruit, that it might be a goodly vine.
9 Ano ty hoe: Hoe ty nafè’ Iehovà Talè, Hiraorao v’izay? Tsy hombota’e hao o vaha’eo naho hampiantoe’e o voa’eo vaho hapo’e hiforejeje—le sindre hiheatse o raven-doha-tao’eo? Le ndra haozaram-bey ndra ondaty mitozantozañe tsy hahafitroats’ aze boak’ ambahatse.
Say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Shall it prosper? shall he not pull up its roots, and cut off its fruit, that it may wither? it shall wither in all the leaves of her spring, even without great power or many people to pluck it up by its roots.
10 Oniño, t’ie aketsa eo, hihaveloñe hao? Tsy hiheatse amy zao hao naho iozà’ i tiok’atiñanañey? Toe hiforejeje amo vavahaly nitiria’eo.
Yes, behold, [being] planted, shall it prosper? shall it not utterly wither, when the east wind toucheth it? it shall wither in the furrows where it grew.
11 Niheo amako indraike ty tsara’ Iehovà nanao ty hoe:
Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
12 Saontsio henaneo i anjomba miolay: Fohi’ areo hao ty ango’ i taliliy? Taroño am’ iereo ty hoe: Hehe fa nivotrake e Ierosalaime ty mpanjaka’ i Bavele, naho rinambe’e i mpanjaka’ey naho o roandria’eo, vaho nasese’e mindre ama’e mb’e Bavele mb’eo;
Say now to the rebellious house, Know ye not what these [things mean]? tell [them], Behold, the king of Babylon hath come to Jerusalem, and hath taken its king, and its princes, and led them with him to Babylon;
13 le rinambe’e ty tiri’ i fifeheañey naho nifañina’e vaho nampifanta’e; fa rinambe’e ka o fanalolahi’ i taneio,
And hath taken of the king's seed, and made a covenant with him, and hath taken an oath from him: he hath also taken the mighty of the land:
14 soa te hafotsak’ ambane i fifeheañey tsy hiongake ka, soa te ho tana’e ty nifañina’e vaho hirekets’ ama’e.
That the kingdom might be base, that it might not lift itself up, [but] that by keeping his covenant it might stand.
15 F’ie niola ami’te nirahe’e mb’e Mitsraime mb’eo o sorotà’eo, hañomeza’ iareo soavala naho ondaty maro. Hiraorao hao re? Hapoke hipoliotse hao ty manao izay? Hadoñe hivongaritse hao i nivalik’ amy fañina’eiy?
But he rebelled against him in sending his embassadors into Egypt, that they might give him horses and many people. Shall he prosper? shall he escape that doeth such [things]? or shall he break the covenant, and be delivered?
16 Aa kanao velon-dRaho hoe t’Iehovà Talè, le amy fimoneña’ i mpanjaka’ nañoreñ’ aze ho mpanjakay, ie tsinambolitio’e i nifantà’ey naho nifotera’e i fañina’ey, le añivo’ i Bavele ao ty hihomaha’e.
[As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely in the place [where] the king [dwelleth] that made him king, whose oath he despised, and whose covenant he broke, [even] with him in the midst of Babylon he shall die.
17 Le tsy hahafañolotse aze t’i Parò amo lahin-defoñe mitozantozañeo naho amy valobohò’ey, ie amotria’ iareo tamboho, naho andranjia’e fikalañe fatratse hañitoa’e t’indaty maro,
Neither shall Pharaoh with [his] mighty army and great company make for him in the war, by casting up mounts, and building forts, to cut off many persons:
18 ie nañamavo i fantay, nivalike amy fañinay, naho nanolo-pitàñe mbore nanao ieaby rezay, toe tsy hipoliotse.
Seeing he despised the oath by breaking the covenant, when lo, he had given his hand, and hath done all these [things], he shall not escape.
19 Aa le hoe ty nafè’ Iehovà Talè; Kanao velon-dRaho, le hafoteko añ’ambone’e eo i nifantàko nitsambolitio’ey naho i fañinako navali’ey.
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; [As] I live, surely my oath that he hath despised, and my covenant that he hath broken, even that will I recompense upon his own head.
20 Le halafiko ama’e ty haratoko, naho ho tsepaheñe an-koboko ao, le Izaho ty hanese aze mb’e Bavele añe, hizaka aze amo fandilarañe niolà’e amakoo.
And I will spread my net upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare, and I will bring him to Babylon, and will plead with him there for his trespass that he hath trespassed against me.
21 Sindre hampikorovohe’ ty fibara o gike ama’eo naho o fonga lahin-defo’eo, naho songa hampiparatsaheñe mb’amo tiokeo mb’eo ze sehanga’e; ho fohi’ areo te Izaho Iehovà ty nitsara.
And all his fugitives with all his bands shall fall by the sword, and they that remain shall be scattered towards all winds: and ye shall know that I the LORD have spoken [it].
22 Hoe ty nafè’ Iehovà Talè; Ho tsongoeko ka ty tora’e an-tiotio’ i talý aboy, naho haoreko; ho harateko boak’ an-tora’e fatratse ty lengo’e maleme, vaho haketsako an-tamboho abo mininginingy ey;
Thus saith the Lord God, I will also take of the highest branch of the high cedar, and will set [it]; I will crop off from the top of its young twigs a tender one, and will plant [it] upon a high mountain and eminent:
23 amy vohitse abo’ Israeley ty hamboleako aze le hitiry tsampa’e naho hamoa voa vaho hinjare talý fanjaka; le sindre himoneñ’ ambane’e ao ze karazam-boroñe; naho songa hitsolok’ an-kalo’ o tora’eo ze raha mitiliñe.
In the mountain of the hight of Israel will I plant it: and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing; in the shade of its branches shall they dwell.
24 Le ho rendre’ ze hene hatae am-patrañe ao te Izaho Iehovà ty nampideboñe i hatae nijoalay, naho naonjoko ty hatae bory; nampiforejejèko ty hatae leñe vaho nampiraoraoeko ty hatae maike; Izaho Iehovà ty nitsara naho nanao.
And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish: I the LORD have spoken and have done [it].
