< Ezekiela 1 >
1 Tamy andro faha-lime ty volam-pahefa’ i taom-paha-telo-poloy, izaho nitraok’ amo naseseo, añ’olon-tsaka Kebare eo, le nisokake o likerañeo vaho niaroñaroñeko i Andrinañahare.
In the thirtieth year, the fourth month, and the fifth day of the month, it came about that I was living among the captives by the Kebar Canal. The heavens opened, and I saw visions of God.
2 Tamy andro faha-lime’ i volañeiy, i taom-paha-lime naha aman-drohi’ Ioiakine mpanjakay,
On the fifth day of that month—it was the fifth year of the exile of King Jehoiachin—
3 le niheo am’ Iekezkèle mpisoroñe ana’ i Bozy, an-tane’ o nte-Kasdio, añ’ olon-tsaka Kebarey, ty tsara’ Iehovà, vaho tama’e ty fità’ Iehovà.
the word of Yahweh came to Ezekiel son of Buzi the priest, in the land of the Chaldeans by the Kebar Canal, and the hand of Yahweh was upon him there.
4 Izaho nañente, le hehe te boak’ avaratsey ty tio-bey: rahoñe jabajaba niarisehoam-palipalitsieñe, le nitolom-pitsopèlatse boak’ama’e ty afo, vaho an-teñateña’ i afoy ty mañirinkiriñe ty vato-voñe miloeloe.
Then I looked, and there was a windstorm coming from the north; a great cloud with fire flashing within it and brightness surrounding it and inside of it, and the fire was the color of amber inside the cloud.
5 Hoe raha veloñe efatse ty añivo’e eo le hoe sandri’ ondaty. ty vinta’ iareo.
In the middle was the likeness of four living creatures. This was their appearance: They had the likeness of a man,
6 Songa aman-daharañe efatse, sindre amañ’ elatse efatse.
but they had four faces each, and each of the creatures had four wings.
7 Nahity o fandia’eo, le nihoe tombon-temboay o fandia’eo vaho nitsopelatsopelatse hoe torisìke vinañe,
Their legs were straight, but the soles of their feet were like the hooves of a calf that shone like polished bronze.
8 ie amam-pità’ondaty efatse ambane’ o ela’eo amo ila’e efatseo. Le hoe zao ty laharañe naho ty ela’ i efatse rey:
Yet they had human hands under their wings on all four sides. For all four, their faces and wings were like this:
9 nifañoza ty ela’ iareo; songa nisitse mahity miaolo, tsy niolake ty fisitsira’e.
their wings were touching the wings of the next creature, and they did not turn as they went; instead, each one went straight forward.
10 Aa ty amo vintan-dahara’eo: le songa aman-dahara’ ondaty i efatse rey, sindre tarehen-diona ty añ’ila ankavana’e naho tarehen’ añombe ty an-kavia’ i efatse rey, vaho sambe aman-tarehem-bantio i efatse rey;
The likeness of their faces was like the face of a man. The four of them had the face of a lion to the right side, and the four of them had the face of an ox on the left side. They four had also the face of an eagle.
11 izay i tarehe’e rey. Nivelatse ambone eo o ela’eo; songa amañ’ elatse roe nifampitakatse ami’ty ela’ ty ila’e, le elatse roe ka ty nanaroñe i sandri’ey,
Their faces were like that, and their wings were spread out above, so that each creature had a pair of wings that touched another creature's wing, and also a pair of wings that covered their bodies.
12 songa nionjoñe mahity mb’eo, ze nimba’ i arofoy ty nimba’e, tsy nivioñe am-pañaveloañe.
Each went straight forward, so that wherever the Spirit directed them to go, they went without turning.
13 Ty vinta’ i raha veloñe rey le hoe vaen-afo mirekake, manahake failo mihelohelo mb’etia mb’atia amo raha veloñeo; nireandreañe i afoy, vaho nipelatse boak’ añ’afo ao ty helatse.
As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, like the appearance of torches; bright fire also moved about among the creatures, and there were flashes of lightning.
14 Nipelapelatse mb’ eo hoe fipelan-kelatse i raha veloñe rey.
The living creatures were moving swiftly back and forth, and they had the appearance of lightning!
15 Ie nañente i raha veloñe rey iraho, le nahatrea te songa aman-darò an-tane añ’ila i raha veloñe efatse rey.
Then I looked at the living creatures; and I saw one wheel on the ground beside each of living creatures with its four faces.
16 Aa ty amy vinta’ o laròo naho ty fitseneañe iareo, le hoe am-bintañe berile miloeloe, nihambam-bintañe iaby i efatse rey, rinanjy hoe larò añ’ate’ ty larò.
This was the appearance and structure of the wheels: Each wheel was like beryl, and the four had the same likeness; their appearance and structure was like a wheel intersecting another wheel.
17 Ie nañavelo mb’aman-dra aia aia amo zoro-tane efatseo le tsy nivioñe te nionjoñe.
As they moved, they went in any of their four directions, without turning as they went.
18 Abo naho naharevendreveñe o bandin-darò’eo amy te tsitsike maso o zanti’eo.
As for their rims, they were high and fearsome, for the rims were full of eyes round about.
19 Ie nisitsitse i raha veloñe rey le nandeha ka i larò rey añ’ila’ iareo eo; aa ie nionjoñe mb’añ’abo mb’eo i raha veloñe rey le nionjoñe ka i larò rey.
Whenever the living creatures moved, the wheels moved beside them. When the living creatures rose up from the earth, the wheels also rose up.
20 Ndra aia’ aia nandenà’ i arofoy, ty nandenà’ iareo, le nindre nionjoñe am’ iereo i larò rey; amy te tañate’ o larò’eo ty arofo’ i raha veloñe rey.
Wherever the Spirit would go, they went, and the wheels rose up beside them, for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.
21 Ie nisitse le nisitse ka ty larò; ie nijohañe le nitsangañe ka ty larò; vaho ie nionjo boak’ an-tane eo, le nindre nionjoñe ka i larò rey; amy te tam-po’ o laròo ao ty arofo’ o raha veloñeo.
Whenever the creatures moved, the wheels also moved; and when the creatures stood still, the wheels stood still; when the creatures rose up from the earth, the wheels rose up beside them, because the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.
22 Ambone’ ty loha’ o raha veloñeo le ty nanahake tafo-bokoke, niloeloe hoe kristaly, milañelañe ambone’ o loha’eo.
Over the heads of the living creatures was the likeness of an expansive dome; it looked like awe-inspiring crystal stretched out over their heads above.
23 Ambane’ i bokokey le nivelatse mahity o ela’ iareoo, ty raike mb’amy ty raike, le amañ’ elatse roe, nanaroñe ty vata’e ty raike, vaho elatse roe ka ty nanaroñe ty añila’ i vata’ey.
Beneath the dome, each one of the creature's wings stretched out straight and touched another creature's wings. Each of the living creatures also had a pair to cover themselves; each had a pair to cover his own body.
24 Ie nisitse iereo, le tsinanoko hoe fitroñan-drano bey o ela’eo, manahake ty fiarañanaña’ i El-Sadai, le ty feom-pivalitsikotàhan-dahindefoñe; ie nitsangañe iereo le napoke mañambàne o ela’eo.
Then I heard the sound of their wings. Like the noise of many waters. Like the voice of the Almighty whenever they moved. Like the sound of a rainstorm. Like the sound of an army. Whenever they stood still, they lowered their wings.
25 Aa ie niboak’ amy bokoke ambone’ loha’ iareo eiy ty fiarañanañañe, le nijohañe eo vaho naradorado’ iareo o ela’eo.
A voice came from above the dome over their heads whenever they stood still and lowered their wings.
26 Ambone’ ty bokok’ ambone’ o loha’ iareoo le nihoe fiambesatse, naho hoe safira t’ie nirendreheñe; vaho niambesatse ambone’ i hoe fiambesatsey ty nirendreke te amam-binta’ ondaty.
Above the dome over their heads was the likeness of a throne that was like the appearance of a sapphire stone, and on the likeness of the throne was a likeness like the appearance of a man.
27 Le nitreako hoe t’ie am-bolon-torisike mileoloe, hoe afo ty ama’e ao naho miariseho. Boak’ amo hoe vania’eo mañambone, naho hirik’ amo hoe vania’eo mañambane, le hoe afo t’ie nenteako, vaho niarisehoam-pireandreañañe.
I saw a figure with the appearance of glowing metal with fire in it from the appearance of his hips up; I saw from the appearance of his hips downward the appearance of fire and brightness all around.
28 Manahake ty àvañe an-drahoñe an-gobon’ andro ty niboaha’ ty fireandreañe niariseho aze, ie mañirinkiriñe ty vinta’ ty enge’ Iehovà. Aa ie nitreako le nibabok’ an-tareheko vaho tsinanoko ty fiarañanaña’ ty mitsara,
Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day was the appearance of the bright light surrounding it. It was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of Yahweh. When I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice speaking.
