You shall observe to do all the commandment which I command you this day, that you may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which Jehovah swore to your fathers.
2 Tiahio o làlañe iaby niaoloa’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’o azo amy taoñe efa-polo an-dratraratra añe reio, ie nampireke naho nitsok’ azo haharendreke ze añ’ arofo’o ao, he hambena’o o lili’eo ke tsie.
You shall remember all the way which Jehovah your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, to prove you, and to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or not.
3 Toe nampireha’e, le nampisalikoa’e, vaho nanjotsoa’e mane tsy nifohi’o naho tsy nifohin-droae’o, hampahafohina’e te tsy mahakama avao ty mahaveloñ’ ondaty; fa ze tsara miboak’ am-palie’ Iehovà ro mahaveloñe’ ondaty.
He humbled you, and allowed you to be hungry, and fed you with manna, which you did not know, neither did your fathers know; that he might make you know that humankind cannot live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God shall humankind live.
4 Tsy nikoneatse ama’o ty saro’o vaho tsy nivonto ty fandia’o i efa-polo taoñe rezay.
Your clothing did not grow old on you, neither did your foot swell, these forty years.
5 Mahafohina añ’arofo te manahake ty fandilovan-drae ty ana’e ty andilova’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’o azo.
You shall consider in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so Jehovah your God chastens you.
6 Aa le ambeno o lili’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’oo am-pañaveloañe an-dala’e eo vaho am-pañeveñañe ama’e.
You shall keep the commandments of Jehovah your God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.
7 Amy te manese azo mb’an-tane soa ao t’Iehovà Andrianañahare’o, tane ikararahan-torahañe naho rano migoangoañe le rano mionjoñe boak’ am-bavatane naho am-bohibohitse,
For Jehovah your God brings you into a good and spacious land, a land of brooks of water, of springs, and underground water flowing into valleys and hills;
8 tanem-bare-bolè naho vare hordea, amam-bahe naho sakoañe vaho raketa, tane aman-katae olive naho tantele,
a land of wheat and barley, and vines and fig trees and pomegranates; a land of olive trees and honey;
9 tane hikama’o mahakama fa tsy hiereñe, hiaiña’o añoleñañe, tane amam-bato viñe vaho am-bohi’e ao ty hihalia’o torisìke.
a land in which you shall eat bread without scarcity, and in which you will lack nothing; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you may dig copper.
10 Ie fa nikama naho ànjañe le andriaño t’Iehovà Andrianañahare’o ty amy tane fanjàka natolo’e azoy.
You shall eat and be full, and you shall bless Jehovah your God for the good land which he has given you.
11 Mitomira tsy handikok’ am’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’o, tsy hañorike o lili’eo naho o fañè’eo vaho o fepè’e lilieko ama’o androanio.
Beware lest you forget Jehovah your God, in not keeping his commandments, and his ordinances, and his statutes, which I command you this day:
12 Kera, ie fa nikama vaho ànjañe, naho fa nandranjy anjomba soa, naho imoneña’o,
lest, when you have eaten and are full, and have built goodly houses, and lived in them;
13 naho mihamaro o añombe’oo naho o lia-rai’oo, naho mitombo ty volafoty naho volamena’o, naho miraorao ze he’e ama’o,
and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold is multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied;
14 le hirengevoke ty arofo’o vaho handikofa’o t’Iehovà Andrianañahare’o nañavotse azo an-tane Mitsraime an-trañom-pañondevozañe ao,
then your heart be lifted up, and you forget Jehovah your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage;
15 i niaolo azo hiranga i fatram-bey henehene naharevendreveñey; i ratraratra maike lifotse merem-boreke naho kalengo añey, le nampidoandoaña’e rano boak’ am-bato-paike ao,
who led you through the great and terrible wilderness, with fiery serpents and scorpions, and thirsty ground where there was no water; who brought you forth water out of the rock of flint;
16 naho nanjotsoa’e mane tsy nahazatse an-droae’o am-patrañe ao, hampireke vaho hamente azo, hañasoà’e am-pigadoñañe añe,
who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers did not know; that he might humble you, and that he might prove you, to do you good at your latter end:
17 ke hitsakore añ’arofo’o ao irehe ty hoe, Ty haozarako naho ty hafatraran-tañako ty nanontonako o varako zao.
and lest you say in your heart, "My power and the might of my hand has gotten me this wealth."
18 Tiahio t’Iehovà Andrianañahare’o, amy t’ie ty mampaozatse azo hahavoria’o vara, hamentea’e i fañina nifantà’e aman-droae’oy le mbe ie henanekeo.
But you shall remember Jehovah your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth; that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as at this day.
19 Aa ke ho haliño’o t’Iehovà Andrianañahare’o hañoriha’o ty ndrahare ila’e hitoroña’o naho hiambanea’o, fa ataliliko anahareo androany t’ie tsy mete tsy hivetrake
It shall be, if you shall forget Jehovah your God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that you shall surely perish.
20 naho hihomake manahake o rofoko rotsahe’ Iehovà aolo’ areo mb’eoo amy te tsy hinao’ areo ty fiarañanaña’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’ areo.
As the nations that Jehovah makes to perish before you, so you shall perish; because you wouldn't listen to the voice of Jehovah your God.
