< Deotoronomia 14 >

1 Ie fa ana’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’ areo, ko mandriadria-tsandriñe ndra mampipeake ty ambonem-pihaino’ areo ty amo vilasio.
You are the children of the LORD your God. You shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.
2 Amy t’ie ondaty-miavake am’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’o, naho jinobo’ Iehovà h’ondaty an-koroji’e ao boak’ amy ze foko ambone’ ty tane toy.
For you are a holy people to the LORD your God, and the LORD has chosen you to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples who are on the face of the earth.
3 Ko kamae’ areo ty raha tiva.
You shall not eat any abominable thing.
4 Inao o biby mete kamae’ areoo: ty añombe, ty añondry, naho ty ose,
These are the animals which you may eat: the ox, the sheep, the goat,
5 ty aiàle, tsebý, iakemore, ose-lý, disone, osem-bohitse vaho añondrim-bohitse.
the deer, the gazelle, the roebuck, the wild goat, the ibex, the antelope, and the chamois.
6 Ze biby mivaki-hotro, ie misara-kotro roe amo biby mivazakotao, ie ty ho kamae’ areo.
Every animal that parts the hoof, and has the hoof split in two and chews the cud, amongst the animals, you may eat.
7 Fe tsy ho kamae’ areo ze mpihota haneñe avao, ke vaki-hotroo avao manahake ty rameva, ty bitro naho ty trandrake, fa ndra t’ie mihota haneñe izay, tsy vaki-hotro, aa le faly ama’ areo izay.
Nevertheless these you shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of those who have the hoof split: the camel, the hare, and the rabbit. Because they chew the cud but don’t part the hoof, they are unclean to you.
8 le ty lambo, ndra t’ie vaki-hotro, tsy mihota haneñe, le faly ama’ areo. Tsy ho hane’ areo ty hena’e le tsy ho tsapaeñe ty fate’e.
The pig, because it has a split hoof but doesn’t chew the cud, is unclean to you. You shall not eat their meat. You shall not touch their carcasses.
9 Le inao ty mete kamaeñe amy ze hene raha veloñe an-drano ao: ze rekets’ ela’e naho sisi’e, mete kamae’ areo,
These you may eat of all that are in the waters: you may eat whatever has fins and scales.
10 fe tsy ho kamae’ areo ze tsy aman’ela’e ndra sisi’e, maleotse ama’ areo izay.
You shall not eat whatever doesn’t have fins and scales. It is unclean to you.
11 Mete kamae’ areo ze hene voroñe malio.
Of all clean birds you may eat.
12 Fa tsy ho kamae’ areo ka iretoy: ty tratràke, ty beivorotse naho ty salale;
But these are they of which you shall not eat: the eagle, the vulture, the osprey,
13 ty hitikitike, ty vantio naho ty fañaoke ty amo karaza’eo,
the red kite, the falcon, the kite of any kind,
14 le ze hene koàke ty amo karaza’eo;
every raven of any kind,
15 ty voron-tsatrañe, ty voron-dolo-bori-sofy, ty vorom-potsy naho ze karazan-tsimalaho;
the ostrich, the owl, the seagull, the hawk of any kind,
16 ty voron-dolo kede, ty voron-dolom-pikodrìtse naho ty voron-dolo foty
the little owl, the great owl, the horned owl,
17 naho ty voron-dolon-tane maike, ty hondria naho ty voron-dolom-pipao-piañe;
the pelican, the vulture, the cormorant,
18 ty sama naho ze karaza-dangoro, ty kotrohake vaho ty kananavy.
the stork, the heron after its kind, the hoopoe, and the bat.
19 Fonga faly ama’ areo ka ze bibi-kede miropake naho mitiliñe, tsy ho kamaeñe izay.
All winged creeping things are unclean to you. They shall not be eaten.
20 Fe mete kamaeñe ty voroñe malio.
Of all clean birds you may eat.
21 Tsy ho kamae’ areo ze nimate boboke; mete atolotse ami’ty renetane mimoneñe an-drova’o ao ho kamae’e, ke haleta’o ami’ty ambahiny. F’ie ondaty-miavake am’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’o. Vaho tsy hahandroe’o an-drononon-drene’e ty vik’ose.
You shall not eat of anything that dies of itself. You may give it to the foreigner living amongst you who is within your gates, that he may eat it; or you may sell it to a foreigner; for you are a holy people to the LORD your God. You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.
22 Toe handivà’o ty fahafolo’ ze hene voka’ o tongise’oo, ze vokare’ o tete’o boa-taoñeo;
You shall surely tithe all the increase of your seed, that which comes out of the field year by year.
23 le ho kamae’o añatrefa’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’o, amy toetse ho joboñe’e hampipoha’e i tahina’eiy ty fahafolo’ o mahakama’oo, ty divai’o, ty mena’o vaho ty valohan’ ana’ o añombe’oo naho o mpirai-lia’oo, hioha’o ty hañeveñe am’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’o nainai’e.
You shall eat before the LORD your God, in the place which he chooses to cause his name to dwell, the tithe of your grain, of your new wine, and of your oil, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock; that you may learn to fear the LORD your God always.
24 Aa naho loho lava i liay, tsy hahasese i rahay, naho lavitse azo ty toetse ho joboñe’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’o hampipoha’e i tahina’ey, ie fa nitahia’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’o
If the way is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry it because the place which the LORD your God shall choose to set his name there is too far from you, when the LORD your God blesses you,
25 le itsaloho drala, le vontitiro am-pitàñe ao i dralay, vaho akia mb’amy toetse ho joboñe’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’oy mb’eo;
then you shall turn it into money, bind up the money in your hand, and shall go to the place which the LORD your God shall choose.
26 kalò ze tea’o amy dralay: he añombe ke añondry, ke divai-vao ke divai-ela, ze satri’ ty tro’o. Le eo ty hikama’o añatrefa’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’o, vaho mirebeha, ihe naho o keleia’oo.
You shall trade the money for whatever your soul desires: for cattle, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatever your soul asks of you. You shall eat there before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household.
27 Ko aforintse’o i nte-Levy mpimoneñe an-drova’oy, ie tsy aman’ anjara ndra lova ama’o.
You shall not forsake the Levite who is within your gates, for he has no portion nor inheritance with you.
28 Ie modo ty taom-paha-telo, le hene hakare’o amy taoñey ty fahafolo’ ty hapeam-boka’o vaho ahajao an-drova’o ao
At the end of every three years you shall bring all the tithe of your increase in the same year, and shall store it within your gates.
29 le homb’eo i nte-Leviy, ie tsy aman’ anjara ndra lova ama’o, naho i renetane mpimoneñe ama’oy naho i bode-raey vaho i vantotsey, o añaten-dalambei’oo, le hikama am-para’ t’ie anjañe, soa te hitahy azo t’Iehovà Andrianañahare’o amy ze hene fitoloñam-pità’o.
The Levite, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you, as well as the foreigner living amongst you, the fatherless, and the widow who are within your gates shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.
