< Daniela 3 >

1 Nanao saren-draha volamena t’i Nebokadnetsare mpanjaka, kiho enem-polo ty haabo’e, le kiho eneñe ty am-pohe’e; natroa’e ami’ty monto’ i Dorà, am-paritane’ i Bavele ao.
Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits; he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.
2 Le nirahe’ i Nebokadnetsare ty koike hanontoñe o beio, naho o sorotà’eo, naho o fiaoloo, o mpizakao, o mpamandroñeo, o kominteo, o prejidào, vaho o mpifehe faritaneo hiatreke ty fañorizañe i sare nampitroare’ i Nebokadnetsare mpanjakay.
Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the satraps, the prefects, and the governors, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
3 Aa le natontoñe amy fañorizañe i sare nampitroare’ i Nebokadnetsare mpanjakaiy o beio, naho o sorotà’eo, naho o fiaoloo, o mpizakao, o mpamandroñeo, o kominteo, o prejidào, vaho o fonga mpifehe faritaneo. Aa ie nijohañe añ’atrefa’ i sare nampitroare’ i Nebokadnetsare mpanjakaiy ey, le
Then the satraps, the prefects, and the governors, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
4 hoe ty tsinei’ i mpikoikey: Andiliañe ama’ areo ry ondaty, ry fifeheañe naho ry fisaontsy,
And the herald cried aloud: 'To you it is commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages,
5 te ie mahajanjiñe ty feon’ antsiva naho soly naho marovany naho jejobory naho kantsàñe naho mandalina vaho ze hene raha mañomey feo, le hibaboke naho hitalaho amy sare volamena natroa’ i Nebokadnetsare mpanjakaiy;
that at what time ye hear the sound of the horn, pipe, harp, trigon, psaltery, bagpipe, and all kinds of music, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up;
6 fe havokovoko am-po’ toñake misolebatse ao amy oray avao ze tsy mibaboke naho mitalaho ama’e.
and whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.'
7 Aa ie nahajanjiñe ty feo’ i antsivay naho i soliy naho i marovaniy naho i jejoboriy naho i kantsàñey naho i mandalinay vaho o mpañomey feo iabio, le hene nibaboke ze ondaty, fifeheañe naho fameleke niambane amy sare volamena natroa’ i Nebokadnetsare mpanjakay.
Therefore at that time, when all the peoples heard the sound of the horn, pipe, harp, trigon, psaltery, and all kinds of music, all the peoples, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
8 Ie añe, le nitotoke eo ty nte-Kasdy ila’e nanisý o nte-Iehodào
Wherefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near, and brought accusation against the Jews.
9 nisaontsy amy Nebokadnetsare mpanjaka ty hoe, Ry mpanjaka, lava ohatse.
They spoke and said to Nebuchadnezzar the king: 'O king, live for ever!
10 Fa nandily irehe, ry mpanjaka, te ze ondaty mahajanjiñe ty feo’ i antsivay naho i soliy naho i marovaniy naho i jejoboriy naho i kantsàñey naho i mandalinay vaho o mpañomey feo iabio, ty hibaboke naho hitalaho amy sare volamenay;
Thou, O king, hast made a decree, that every man that shall hear the sound of the horn, pipe, harp, trigon, psaltery, and bagpipe, and all kinds of music, shall fall down and worship the golden image;
11 vaho ze tsy mibaboke, tsy mitalaho, ro hafetsak’ an-toñake mirebareba ao.
and whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
12 Eo o nte-Iehodà ila’e nampamandroñe’o o raham-paritane’ i Baveleoo: toe i Sadrake naho i Mesake vaho i Abednegò; tsy mañaoñe azo indaty rey ry mpanjaka; tsy miambane amo ndrahare’oo, naho tsy mitalaho amy sare volamena natroa’oy.
There are certain Jews whom thou hast appointed over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.'
13 Aa le niviñetse am-poroforo t’i Nebokadnetsare vaho linili’e te hasese mb’eo t’i Sadrake naho i Mesake vaho i Abednegò. Aa le nasese mb’ añatrefa’ i mpanjakay mb’ eo indaty rey.
Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. Then were these men brought before the king.
14 Nanao ty hoe am’ iereo t’i Nebokadnetsare: O ry Sadrake naho i Mesake vaho i Abednegò, to hao t’ie tsy miasy o ‘ndraharekoo, naho tsy mitalaho amy sare volamena natroakoy?
Nebuchadnezzar spoke and said unto them: 'Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, that ye serve not my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?
15 Aa ie mahajanjiñe ty feo’ i antsivay naho i soliy naho i marovaniy naho i jejoboriy naho i kantsàñey naho i mandalinay miharo amo mpañomey feo iabio, ho veka’e hibaboke naho hitalaho amy sare volamenay vi’ nahareo henane zay? Fa naho tsy italahoa’ areo, le havokovoko an-toñake misolebatse ao amy oray avao. Andrianañahare aia ty hahahaha anahareo an-tañako?
Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the horn, pipe, harp, trigon, psaltery, and bagpipe, and all kinds of music, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made, well; but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is the god that shall deliver you out of my hands?'
16 Aa hoe ty natoi’ i Sadrake naho i Mesake vaho i Abednegò amy Nebokadnetsare mpanjakay: Ry Nebokadnetsare, tsy anay ty hamale azo amy ontane zay.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, answered and said to the king: 'O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer thee in this matter.
17 Mahaoniña, te mahahaha anay amy toñake mibelañey t’i Andrianañahare toroñe’ay, vaho mahafipoliora’e am-pità’o zahay ry mpanjaka.
If our God whom we serve is able to deliver us, He will deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and out of thy hand, O king.
18 Fa naho tsie, ehe mahafohina, ry mpanjaka, t’ie tsy hitalaho amy ‘ndrahare’oy, ndra hiasy i sare volamena natroa’oy.
But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.'
19 Nilifom-piforoforoañe amy zao t’i Nebokadnetsare le niloroloro amy Sadrake naho i Mesake vaho i Abednegò ty lahara’e, le nanoiñe, naho nandily te hanoeñe im-pito ty hamae’ i toñakey.
Then was Nebuchadnezzar filled with fury, and the form of his visage was changed, against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego; he spoke, and commanded that they should heat the furnace seven times more than it was wont to be heated.
20 Linili’e amy zao o fanalolahy am-pirimboñan-dahindefo’eo ty handrohy i Sadrake naho i Mesake naho i Abednegò, vaho hamokovoko iareo amy toñake milebalebay ao.
And he commanded certain mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.
21 Rinohy reketse saroñe naho sikiñe naho sabaka naho ze lamba ila’e am’ ondaty rey vaho nafetsak’ an-teñateña’ i toñake misolebatsey ao.
Then these men were bound in their cloaks, their tunics, and their robes, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
22 Aa kanao am-bodongero’e ty nandilia’ i mpanjakay, ie niloho mae i toñakey, le navetran-del’afo ondaty nandrambe i Sadrake naho i Mesake vaho i Abednegòo.
Therefore because the king's commandment was peremptory, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego.
23 Aa le nihotrak’ an-drohy an-toñake nibebañ’ ao indaty telo rey: i Sadrake naho i Mesake vaho i Abednegò.
And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
24 Nilatsa t’i Nebokadnetsare, mpanjaka, le niongak’ amy zao nisaontsy amo mpanolo-keve’eo ty hoe: Tsy telo hao t’indaty nafetsan-tika an-drohy amo afoo? Hoe ty natoi’ iareo amy mpanjakay; Eka ‘nio, ry mpanjaka.
Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was alarmed, and rose up in haste; he spoke and said unto his ministers: 'Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?' They answered and said unto the king: 'True, O king.'
25 Hoe ty natoi’e: Heheke, mahatrea ondaty efatse midada ao iraho, songa midraidraitse amy afoy ao, tsy ama’e ty mianto, vaho manahake t’i Anak’ Andrianañahare ty vinta’ o fahefatseo.
He answered and said: 'Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods.'
26 Nitotok’ am-bava’ i toñake misolebatsey t’i Nebokadnetsare, nanao ty hoe: o ry Sadrake naho i Mesake vaho i Abednegò, ry mpitoron’ Añahare Andindimoneñeo, miakara mb’etoy. Aa le nienga boak’ an-teñateña’ i afoy t’i Sadrake naho i Mesake vaho i Abednegò.
Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace; he spoke and said: 'Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, ye servants of God Most High, come forth, and come hither.' Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, came forth out of the midst of the fire.
27 Le nihimpoke eo o beio naho o sorotà’eo naho o fiaoloo, o mpizakao, o mpitàm-bolao, o kominteo, o prejidào vaho o mpifehe faritaneo hisamba ondaty tsy nanaña’ i afoy lilio, leo raik’ amo maròy añambone’ iareoo tsy nimae, tsy niova ka o sarimbo’ iereoo, vaho tsy nipitek’ am’ iereo ty imbon’ afo.
And the satraps, the prefects, and the governors, and the king's ministers, being gathered together, saw these men, that the fire had no power upon their bodies, nor was the hair of their head singed, neither were their cloaks changed, nor had the smell of fire passed on them.
28 Le hoe ty saontsi’ i Nebokadnetsare: Andriañeñe t’i Andrianañahare’ i Sadrake naho i Mesake vaho i Abednegò, ie nañirake i anjeli’ey hañaha o mpitoro’e mpiato ama’eo mbore nifotetse amy saontsim-panjakay, namoe ay tsy hitoroñe ndra hitalaho ami’ty ndrahare ila’e naho tsy t’i Andrianañahare’ iareo avao.
Nebuchadnezzar spoke and said: 'Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who hath sent His angel, and delivered His servants that trusted in Him, and have changed the king's word, and have yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.
29 Aa le mitsey iraho, te ho fonga tseratseraheñe ze miteratera an’ Andrianañahare’ i Sadrake naho i Mesake naho i Abednegò, vaho hatao vongan-deotse ty akiba’e, amy te tsy eo ty drahare ila’e mahahaha manahake zao.
Therefore I make a decree, that every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill; because there is no other god that is able to deliver after this sort.'
30 Aa le nonjone’ i mpanjakay am-paritane’ i Bavele t’i Sadrake naho i Mesake vaho i Abednegò.
Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, in the province of Babylon.
