1 Teako ho fohi’areo ty fimaneako ho anaharo naho o e Laodikia añeo vaho o mbe tsy nifañatre-daharañ’ amako iabio,
For I wish you to know how great a conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and as many as have not seen my face in the flesh,
2 hañohòako ty arofo’ iareo, ie fa nampivandìreñe am-pikokoañe, amy hene vara vokare’ ty faharendrehañe pea, ie fohiñe mazava, i hatò mietake aman’ Añahare Rae aoy, i Norizañey;
that their hearts may be comforted, being united in love, and to all riches of the full assurance of the understanding, to the full knowledge of the secret of the God and Father, and of the Christ,
3 ama’e ty ietaha’ ze fonga varan-kihitse naho hilala.
in whom are all the treasures of the wisdom and the knowledge hid,
4 Itaroñako ‘nio, hera ao ty hamañahy am-bolam-pañèdre.
and this I say, that no one may deceive you with enticing words,
5 Aa ndra te tsy eo an-tsandrin-draho, mbe ama’ areo an-troke, mirebeke te mahatrea ty fitraofa’ areo rehake naho ty fatokisa’ areo i Norizañey.
for if even in the flesh I am absent—yet in the spirit I am with you, rejoicing and beholding your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in regard to Christ;
6 Aa kanao rinambe’ areo i Talè Iesoà Norizañey, mañaveloa ama’e,
as, then, you received Christ Jesus the LORD, walk in Him,
7 ie soa fivahatse naho nivoatse ama’e, naho niventèñe am-patokisañe ty amy naòke, vaho mandopatse fañandriañañe.
being rooted and built up in Him, and confirmed in the faith, as you were taught—abounding in it in thanksgiving.
8 Mitaoa ke eo ty hañamengoke anahareo an-kilala miheotse naho famañahiañe kòake mirampy amo lili’ ondatio naho amo sata’ foto-ty tane toio, fa tsy amy Norizañey,
See that no one will be carrying you away as spoil through philosophy and vain deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the rudiments of the world, and not according to Christ,
9 izay imoneña’ ty haliforan’ Añahare am-pañòva,
because in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily,
10 le nifonireñe ama’e nahareo, amy t’ie ty lohà’ ze hene fifeheañe naho lily.
and you are made full in Him, who is the head of all principality and authority,
11 Ama’e ka nahareo ro sinavatse an-tsavatse tsy nanoem-pitàñe fa nampikorendahañe ty fandilia’ i haondaty hambo’ey amy sandriñey ami’ty fanavara’ i Norizañey,
in whom you also were circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of sins of the flesh by the circumcision of the Christ,
12 ie nalenteke mindre ama’e amy lipotsey naho nindre natroatse ama’e am-patokisañe ami’ty fitoloñan’ Añahare nampitroats’ aze an-kavilasiy.
being buried with Him in the immersion, in which you also rose with [Him] through the faith of the working of God, who raised Him out of the dead.
13 Ie nivetrake an-kakeo naho ami’ty tsy fanavara’ i nofotsey ro vinelo’e mindre ama’e, le fonga nafaha’e o tahin-tikañeo,
And you—being dead in the trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh—He made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all the trespasses,
14 ie namaopaoke i takelan-tsongoy, o fepetse nanisý antikañe naho nañamengoke antikañeo; nasita’e añe izay, amy nipehañ’ aze amy hatae ajaley,
having blotted out the handwriting in the ordinances that is against us, that was contrary to us, and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the Cross;
15 ie nampikorendahe’e ty lili’ o mpifeleke naho o mpañadilio, vaho nampiborahe’e ho fisambàñe am-batraike eo, ie fa rineba’e amy hatae ajaley.
having stripped the principalities and the authorities, He made a show of them openly—having triumphed over them by it.
16 Asoao arè tsy iaia ty hapo’ areo hanìñe ty fikamañe ndra finomañe, naho o andro nifotoañañeo naho o jiri-bolañeo vaho o Sabatao
Let no one, then, judge you in eating or in drinking, or in respect of a celebration, or of a new moon, or of Sabbaths,
17 (toe fanalinjoa’ o raha ho avio irezay) —fa ty Fañova’ i Norizañey.
which are a shadow of the coming things, but the body [is] of the Christ;
18 Asoao tsy hikatramoeñe ty tambe’ areo, ie sigiheñe hirè-batañe naho hitalaho amo anjelio; ie mitsibelezeñe amo raha nitrea’eo, naho mirengevoke am-pivetsevetsen-kaondaty hambo’e,
let no one deceive you of your prize, delighting in humble-mindedness and [in] worship of the messengers, intruding into the things he has not seen, being vainly puffed up by the mind of his flesh,
19 naho tsy mitambozòtse amy Añamboney, i Mpamahañe i Fañòvay iabiy vaho mampirekets’ aze amo fange’eo naho amo lahin’ ozatseo, hitomboa’e ami’ty fampibodobodoan’ Añahare.
and not holding the Head, from which all the body—gathering supply through the joints and bands, and being knit together—may increase with the increase of God.
20 Ie nindre nivilasy amy Norizañey amo sata’ foto’ ty tane toio, akore te mbe manao hoe veloñe ami’ty voatse toy, mañorike o fañè’e manao ty hoe:
If, then, you died with the Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as living in the world, are you subject to ordinances—
21 Ko mandrambe! ko mitsopeke! ko mitsapa.
you may not touch, nor taste, nor handle—
22 Ie ho fonga modo am-pitoloñañe, amy te mifototse ami’ty lily naho fañòha’ ondaty.
which are all for destruction with the using, after the commands and teachings of men,
23 Ie toe misare hilala am-pitalahoañe an-tsatrin-troke naho am-pirehañe vande naho fampalovilovian-tsandriñe; f’ie tsy vente’e, naho tsy mahasebañe ty hadrao’ o nofotseo.
which are, indeed, having a matter of wisdom in self-willed religion, and humble-mindedness, and neglecting of body—not of any value to satisfying the flesh.
