< Amosa 3 >
1 Mijanjiña ty nitsarà’ Iehovà ry ana’ Israeleo, ry hene foko nakareko an-tane’ i Mitsraimeo, ami’ty hoe:
Listen to this message, Israelites, which the Lord has spoken against you, against the whole nation that I brought out of Egypt:
2 Inahareo avao ty napotako amo kila foko ty tane toio; aa le fonga havaleko ama’ areo o hakeo’ areoo.
You alone have I cared for of all the nations of the world, this is why I will punish you for your crimes.
3 Mahay miharo lia hao ty roe naho tsy milahatse hey?
Do two walk together unless they agreed to meet?
4 Hitroñe añ’ala ao hao ty liona naho tsy aman-tsàtsa’e? Hañaolo boak’ an-dakato’e ao hao ty liona tora’e naho tsy nahatsepake?
Does a lion roar in the forest when there is no prey for him? Does a young lion cry out in his den unless he has caught something?
5 Mete hikoropok’ am-pandri-bo an-tane eo hao ty voroñe, naho tsy ama’e ty fitake? Hidraitse an-tane eo hao i bitsokey, ie tsy aman-ko tsepaheñe?
Does a bird swoop down into a trap if no bait is set for it? Does a trap spring up from the ground if nothing sets it off?
6 Naho tiofeñe an-drova ao i antsivay, tsy hangebahebake hao ondatio? Ie hizò hankàñe ty rova, tsy ho sata’ Iehovà hao?
Can a trumpet be blown in a city and the people not tremble? Can disaster strike a city and the Lord not have caused it?
7 Toe tsy hanao ndra inoñ’inoñe t’Iehovà, Talè, naho tsy borahe’e amo mpitoro’e mpitokio heike o safiri’e mietakeo.
Surely the Lord God does nothing without revealing his purpose to his servants the prophets.
8 Fa nitroñe i lionay, ia ty tsy ho hembañe? Fa nitsara t’Iehovà, Talè, ia ty tsy hitoky?
The lion has roared; who does not fear? The Lord God has spoken; who will not prophesy?
9 Tseizo amo anjomba’ i Asdodeo naho amo anjomba an-tane’ Mitsraime añeo ty hoe: mitontona am-bohi’ i Somerone eo, naho mahaisaha ty fifandraparapahañe añivo’e ao vaho o forekekeñe ama’e aoo.
Proclaim over the palaces in Ashdod, and over the palaces in the land of Egypt: Gather upon the mountain of Samaria, and see the violent turmoil, the acts of oppression in her midst.
10 Fa tsy fohi’ iareo ty hanao ty hiti’e, hoe t’Iehovà, ie mañaja fikatramoañe, naho fampikamerañe añ’anjomba’ iareo ao.
For they do not know how to do right. They are heaping up violence and oppression in their palaces, says the Lord.
11 Aa hoe t’Iehovà, Talè: Hiarikatohe’ ty rafelahy i taney naho harotsa’e o hafatrara’oo, vaho ho kopahe’e o anjomba’oo.
Therefore the Lord God says: An enemy will surround the land, he will strip your strength from you. and your palaces will be looted.
12 Hoe t’i Iehovà: Manahake ty añakara’ ty mpiarake ami’ty montsilin-diona ty tombo’e roe ndra ty silan-tsofi’e, ty haneseañe o ana’ Israele mimoneñe e Someroneo, reketse ty indran-tihy ndra ty tombom-pandreañe.
The Lord says: Just as a shepherd rescues from the jaws of a lion two shinbones or a piece of an ear, so the Israelites living in Sameria will be rescued – with the corner of a couch, and the damask of a divan!
13 Mijanjiña, le asisio ty anjomba’ Iakobe, hoe t’Iehovà, Talè Andrianañahare’ i màroy;
Listen and testify against the house of Jacob, says the Lord God, the God of hosts.
14 fa amy andro hañondrohako o fiolà’ Israeleoy, le ho valeako o kitreli’ i Beteleo, naho ho kitsifañe i tsifan-kitrely rey vaho hipok’ an-tane eo.
On the day when I punish Israel for their crimes, I will also visit in judgment the altars of Bethel, the horns of the altar will be hacked off, and they will fall to the ground.
15 Hatraoko lafa i anjomban’asaray naho i anjomban’asotriy, hikoromake ka o anjomba aman-tsifao; toe hirotsake o anjomba jabajabao, hoe t’Iehovà.
I will destroy the winter houses together with the summer houses and the houses of ivory will perish. Many great houses will be swept away, says the Lord.
