When the day of Pentecost came, all the believers were in the same place with one accord.

Suddenly a sound like a mighty rushing wind came from heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
3 Le nisodehañe añ’atrefa’ iereo ty raha hoe lel-afo nitsiriaria, vaho sindre nivotraha’e.
Divided tongues that looked like fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them.
4 Songa nilifore’ i Arofo Masiñey vaho namototse nisaontsy an-tsaontsy an-kafaankafa, amy nampisaontsie’ i Arofoy.
Then they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
5 Ie henane zay, nañialo e Ierosaleme ao ty Jiosy, ondaty vañoñe boak’amy ze pato-razañe ambanen-dikerañeo.
Now there were devout Jews from every nation under heaven dwelling in Jerusalem.
6 Ie nahajanjiñe i feo zay le nifanontoñe ho valobohoke, nidaba amy te songa nahajanjiñe ty saontsi’e.
When this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and they were bewildered because each one of them heard his own language being spoken.
7 Sindre nilatsa naho nivereñe vaho nifanao ty hoe: Inao! tsy nte-Galilia v’ondaty iaby milañoñeo?
They were all astonished and amazed, saying to one another, “Behold, are not all these who are speaking Galileans?
8 Aa vaho akore tika ro songa mahajanjiñe ty saontsy nibeizeñe aze?
How then do we each hear them in our own native languages?
9 Nte Partia naho nte Media naho nte Elama, naho o mpimoneñe e Mesopotamia naho e Iehodà naho e Kapadokia naho e Ponto vaho Asiao;
Parthians, Medes, Elamites; those who dwell in Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,
10 o Frigia naho Pamfilia, Egipte naho am-paripari’ i Libià mañohoke i Kirenà naho ambahiny hirike Romao: Jiosy naho o niova ho Jiosio
Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the districts of Libya that are near Cyrene; visitors from Rome (both Jews and converts to Judaism),

Cretans and Arabs—we hear them speaking about the mighty acts of God in our own tongues.”

And they were all amazed and greatly perplexed, saying to one another, “What could this mean?”
13 Hoe ka ty nikobiha’ ty ila’e: Etsa-divai-vao ondatio.
But others scoffed at the believers, saying, “They are filled with new wine.”
14 Niharo nijohañe amy folo raik’ amby rey t’i Petera, ie nipoña-peo nanao ty hoe: Ry nte-Iehodao! ry mpimoneñ’ e Ierosaleme iabio, mahafohìna vaho tomiro o entakoo:
Then Peter stood up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and declared to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words.

These men are not drunk, as you suppose, for it is only the third hour of the day.

‘In the last days, says God, I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.
18 Hadoako amo mpitoroko lahilahy naho ampelao ty Troko amy andro rezay, le hitoky iereo.
Even upon my male and female servants I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.
19 Ho toroako halatsàñe andindìñe eñe naho viloñe an-tane ambane atoy: Lio naho afo vaho evon-katoeñe.
I will perform wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below: blood, fire, and mist of smoke.
20 Hafotetse ho fimoromoroñañe i àndroy naho ho lio i volañey aolo’ ty itondroha’ i andro ra’elahy bei-volonahe’ i Talèy.
The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood, before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
21 Ie amy zay hene ho rombaheñe ze mikanjy ty tahina’ Iehovà.
And everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.’
22 Ry nte Israeleo, janjiño o tsara zao: Iesoà nte Nazareta, indaty niventèn’ Añahare ama’ areo amo raha tsi-tantane naho halatsàñe vaho viloñe nanoen’ Añahare añama’e añivo’ areooy, ze toe fohi’ areo;
“Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with miracles, wonders, and signs that God did through him in your midst, just as you yourselves well know,
23 ie nasese amy fisafirin’ Añahare mahatafetetsey naho amy faharofoanan’ Añahare miaoloy le rinambe’ areo naho pinèke an-tañan-tsi-aman-Kake vaho vinono;
this man, who was delivered up by the deliberate plan and foreknowledge of God, you took and put to death, having him nailed to the cross by the hands of lawless men.

But God raised him up, releasing him from the pangs of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.
25 Le hoe t’i Davide ty ama’e: Nitreako te añatrefako nainai’e t’Iehovà, an-tañan-kavanako eo le tsy hasiotse iraho.
For David says about him, ‘I saw the Lord always before me, for he is at my right hand so that I will not be shaken.
26 Aa le nirebeke ty troko naho nifale ty lelako; vaho hitofa am-pitamàñe o nofokoo,
Therefore my heart was glad and my tongue rejoiced; moreover, my flesh will dwell in hope.
For yoʋ will not abandon my soul to Hades, nor will yoʋ let yoʋr Holy One see corruption. (Hadēs g86)
28 Fa nampandrendrehe’o ahy o lalan-kaveloñeo; ho lifore’o haehake raho am-piatrefa’o eo.
Yoʋ have made known to me the paths of life; yoʋ will fill me with joy by yoʋr presence.’
29 Ry longo, hitaroñe i Davide raentika iraho, t’ie nivilasy vaho nalenteke, naho amantika atoy pake henàne i kibori’ey.
“Brothers, I can say to you with confidence concerning our patriarch David that he died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.
30 F’ie nimpitòky, nahafohiñe te nifanta an-titike añama’e t’i Andrianañahare, hampitroatse boak’ amo tarira’eo ty hiambesatse amy fiambesa’ey.
So then, because he was a prophet and knew that God had sworn an oath to him that from among his descendants, according to the flesh, he would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne,

David foresaw what would happen and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, saying that his soul was not abandoned to Hades and that his flesh did not see corruption. (Hadēs g86)
32 Toe natroan’ Añahare Iesoà izay, valolombeloñe zahay iaby.
This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.

Therefore, having been exalted to the right hand of God and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you now see and hear.
34 Toe tsy i Davide ty nonjoneñe mb’ andindìñe añe, fa hoe ty natao’e: Hoe t’Iehovà amy Talèkoy: Miambesara an-tañan-kavanako etoa.
For David did not ascend to heaven, but he himself says, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand
35 Ampara’ te anoeko fitongoam- pandia’o o rafelahi’oo.
until I make yoʋr enemies a footstool for yoʋr feet.”’
36 Aa le mahafohìna an-katò ry anjomba’ Israele iabio te nanoen’ Añahare Talè naho Noriza’e t’Iesoà pinè’ areo.
Therefore, let all the house of Israel know with certainty that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.”
37 Ie nahajanjiñe, le nitsipoheñe añ’arofo vaho nanao ty hoe amy Petera naho amo Firàheñe ila’eo: O ry longo, Ino ty hanoe’ay?
When they heard this, they were pierced to the heart and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?”
38 Le hoe t’i Petera am’iereo: Misolohoa, le songa milipora amy tahina’ Iesoà Norizañey hañahàn-kakeo vaho andrambesam-palalàñe, i Arofo Masiñey.
Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized, each one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

For this promise is for you, for your children, and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God calls to himself.”
40 Aa le tinovo’e tsara maro, nimane taroñe naho osike, ami’ty hoe: Mirombaha ami’ty tariratse mengoke toy.
With many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this crooked generation.”
41 Aa le nalipotse an-kafaleañe o Nandrambe i tsara’eio, vaho nitovoñe ondaty telo arivo amy andro zay.
Then those who gladly received his word were baptized, and about three thousand souls were added on that day.
42 Ie nifahatse ami’ty fañoha’ o Firàheñeo naho am-pilongoañe naho am-pitraofam-pikama vaho am-pitalahoañe.
And they devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
43 Fonga nivotraham-pañeveñañe, naho maro ty halatsàñe naho viloñe nanoe’ o Firàheñeo.
A sense of awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done by the apostles.
44 Le niharo ao iaby o mpiatoo vaho nifampitraoke amy ze he’e,
All who believed were together and had all things in common.
45 nandetake fanañañe naho vara vaho nifanjara tsahatse ty hampahaeneñe ze nipaia’ ondaty iabio.
They were selling their possessions and belongings, and distributing the proceeds to all, as anyone had need.
46 Ie nitoloñe an-troke raik’ añ’ anjomban’ Añahare ao boak’ andro naho nitsatsà-traño namola-mofo vaho nitrao-pikama an-kaehake naho an-tso-po,
Day by day as they continued meeting together with one accord in the temple courts and breaking bread from house to house, they shared food together with gladness and simplicity of heart,
47 nandrenge an’ Andrianañahare naho nisohe’ ze hene ondaty; vaho nitovoña’ i Talè boak’ andro o nirombaheñeo.
praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.
