And certain men who came down from Judea, taught the brethren, [and said], Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
2 Tsy naivañe ty fifandierañe naho fifanointoiña’ i Paoly naho i Barnabasy ama’e le sinafiri’ iereo ty hañitrike i Paoly naho i Barnabasy naho ty ila’e mb’e Ierosaleme mb’amo Firàheñe naho bey añeo ty amy ontane zay.
When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain others of them, should go to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders about this question.

And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice, and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy to all the brethren.

And when they had come to Jerusalem, they were received by the church, and by the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.
5 Fe niongake ty mpiato ila’e amo Fariseo, nanao ty hoe: Tsy mete tsy ampisavareñe ondatio vaho lili­eñe hañorike ty Hà’ i Mosè.
But there rose certain of the sect of the Pharisees, who believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command [them] to keep the law of Moses.
6 Nivory hisafiry i entañe zay o Firàheñeo naho o beio,
And the apostles and elders came together to consider of this matter.
7 f’ie nifandietse avao, aa le niongake t’i Petera nanao ty hoe: O Roahalahio, fohi’ areo te nitoroan’ Añahare hatrela’e te ho janjiñe’ o kilakila ondatio am-bavako ty enta’ i talili-soay vaho hiantoke.
And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose and said to them, Men, brethren, ye know that a good while ago, God made choice among us, that the Gentiles, by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
8 Aa le nitaroñe am’ iereo t’i Andrianañahare Mpaharofoanañ’ arofo, le nitolora’e i Arofo Masiñey manahake ty nanoe’e aman-tikañe.
And God, who knoweth the hearts, bore them witness, giving to them the Holy Spirit, even as [he did] to us:
9 Toe tsy nambaha’e aman-tika iereo kanao nefera’e am-patokisañe o arofo’ iareoo.
And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
10 Aa vaho akore ty itsoha’ areo an’Andrianañahare, hampitongoà’ areo joka am-pititia’ o mpiòkeo, ie tsy nileon-tika ndra o roaen-tikañeo?
Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11 Aiy! Atokisan-tika te i hasoa’ Iesoà Talèn-tikañey ro maha voarombak’ antika, le hambañe amy zay iereo.
But we believe, that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, we shall be saved even as they.
12 Fonga nianjiñe i màroy, nijanjiñe ty nitalilie’ i Barnabasy naho i Paoly o viloñe naho halatsàñe nanoen’ Añahare añivo’ o kilakila ‘ndatio añam’ iereoo.
Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought by them among the Gentiles.

And after they held their peace, James answered, saying, Men, brethren, hearken to me.
14 Fa nitalilia’ i Simona i fitilihan’ Añahare valoha’ey, handrambesa’e ondaty amo kilakila ondatio ho amy tahina’ey,
Simeon hath declared how God at the first visited the Gentiles to take from among them a people for his name.
15 mira amo nitsarae’ o mpitokio, amy pinatetseio ty hoe:
And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
16 Ie añe, le hibalike raho naho hamboareko indraike i kivoho’ i Davide nirotsakey; ho tsenèko indraike i nikoromakey, vaho hatroako,
After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins of it; and I will set it up:
17 soa te hipay Iehovà ondaty ila’eo toe ze kilakila ondaty tokaveñe ami’ty añarako,
That the residue of men may seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
18 hoe t’Iehovà mampahafohiñe o raha zao boake haehae añe. (aiōn g165)
Known to God are all his works from the beginning of the world. (aiōn g165)
19 Aa le hoe ty safiriko, te tsy holañen-tikañe o mitolik’ aman’ Añahare boak’ amo kilakila ondatio,
Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, who from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
20 fe anokiran-tika taratasy, hifoneña’ iareo ze raha nitivae’ o hazomangao naho ty hakarapiloañe naho ty henam-biby nidageañeñe vaho ty lio.
But that we write to them that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and [from] lewdness, and [from] things strangled, and [from] blood.
21 Amy te nitaroñeñe haehae amy ze kila rova t’i Mosè, ie vakieñe am-pitontonañ’ ao boa-tSabata.
For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath.
22 Aa le nisatrie’ o Firàheñeo naho o beio naho i fivory iabiy ty hijoboñe ondaty am’iereo ao, hihitrike mb’e Antiokia añe mindre amy Paoly naho i Barnabasy. Le jinoboñe t’i Joda (atao Barsabasy) naho i Silasy, ondaty mpiaolo amo rahalahio.
Then it pleased the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch, with Paul and Barnabas; [namely], Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:

And they wrote [letters] by them after this manner; The apostles, and elders, and brethren, [send] greeting to the brethren who are of the Gentiles in Antioch, and Syria, and Cilicia.

Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain who went out from us, have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, [Ye must] be circumcised, and keep the law; to whom we gave no [such] commandment:
25 le natao’ay t’ie nivory am-pitraofan-drehake, te hahasoa ty hijoboñe ondaty tsy ampeampe hampombañe mb’ ama’ areo mb’eo mindre aman-drañe’ay sarotse, i Barnabasy naho i Paoly—
It seemed good to us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men to you, with our beloved Barnabas and Paul:
26 ondaty nihirim­beloñe ty amy tahina’ i Talè Iesoà Norizañey.
Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
27 Aa le nampihitrife’ay t’i Joda naho i Silasy hamente o entañe zao am-palie
We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who will also tell [you] the same things by mouth.
28 amy te hoe nò’ i Arofo Masiñey naho zahay ty tsy hanovoña’ay kilankañe mandikoatse o fañè rezao:
For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
29 Falio ze raha nisoroñañe an-kazomanga naho ty lio naho ze dinageañe vaho ty hakarapiloañe. Mahasoa anahareo te ifoneñañe. Manintsiña.
That ye abstain from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from lewdness: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye will do well. Fare ye well.
30 Aa le nampionjoneñe mb’eo iereo naho nivotrake e Antiokia le natonto’ iereo i Fivoriy vaho natolotse i taratasiy.
So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had convened the multitude, they delivered the epistle.
31 Ie vinaki’ iereo le niehake ty amy fañosihañey.
[Which] when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.
32 Aa kanao mpitoky t’i Joda naho i Silasy, le nañosike naho nañafatratse o roahalahio an-tsaontsy maro.
And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed [them].
33 Ie roñoñe añe, le nampañaveloe’ o rahalahio himpoly mb’amo nañitrik’ iareoo mb’eo.
And after they had tarried [there] a time, they were dismissed in peace from the brethren to the apostles.
Notwithstanding, it pleased Silas to abide there still.
35 Fe nitam­batse e Antiokia ao t’i Paoly naho i Barnabasy mindre ami’ty ila’e maro, nañoke naho nitaroñe ty tsara’ Iehovà.
Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.
36 Ie nahamodo andro tsiampeampe, le hoe t’i Paoly amy Barnabasy: Antao hibalike naho hitilike o roahalahin-tika amy rova iaby nitaroñan-tika o tsara’ i Talèo reio, hañontane iareo.
And some days after, Paul said to Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren, in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, [and see] how they do.

And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark.

But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.
39 Aa le akore ty fifanjomora’ iareo kanao nifampipi­tsoke. Nendese’ i Barna­basy t’i Marka nijon-dakañe mb’e Kiprosy añe,
And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed, separating one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed to Cyprus.
40 le jinobo’ i Paoly t’i Silasy vaho nienga, ie fa nitatae’ o roahalahio ho ami’ty hasoa’ i Talè.
And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being commended by the brethren to the grace of God.
41 Le niranga mb’e Sirià naho e Kilkia mb’eo re nañafatratse o Fivorio.
And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.
