< 2 Timoty 2 >
1 F’ihe, anako, maozara amy hasoa’ Iesoà Norizañeiy.
You, therefore, my child, be strong in the grace that [is] in Christ Jesus,
2 Le o tsinano’o amako aolo’ ty valolombeloñe maroo ro afantoho ama’ondaty migahiñe hahafañoke o ila’eo ka.
and the things that you heard from me through many witnesses, be committing these things to steadfast men, who will also be sufficient to teach others;
3 Mindreza hasilofañe amako hoe lahin-defo’ soa’ Iesoà Norizañey.
you, therefore, suffer evil as a good soldier of Jesus Christ;
4 Tsy ia ty mitolon-ko lahindefo ze mifehefehe an-tsata’ ty tane toio; fa ty hahafale i nanendre aze ho lahin-defoñey.
no one serving as a soldier entangles himself with the affairs of life, that he may please him who enlisted him;
5 Le i mpimane tsikiaviaviy, tsy tambezen-dre naho tsy ilozoha’e o fañèn-tsikiaviavio.
and if anyone also may strive, he is not crowned, except he may strive lawfully;
6 Tsy mete tsy mandrambe amy voka’ey hey i mpambole nifanehake ama’ey.
it is first necessary [for] the laboring farmer to partake of the fruits;
7 Kinàño o volakoo, le i Talè ro hampaharendreke azo amy halifora’ey.
be considering what things I say, for the LORD gives to you understanding in all things.
8 Tiahio t’Iesoà Norizañe, nampivañoneñe an-kavilasy naho tiri’ i Davide, ty amy taliliko soa
Remember Jesus Christ, raised out of the dead, of the seed of David, according to my good news,
9 isotriako falilovañe naho nampijorobo ahy an-drohy atoa hoe mpanao ratiy; fe tsy mirohy ty tsaran’ Añahare.
in which I suffer evil—to bonds, as an evildoer, but the word of God has not been bound;
10 Izay ty ifeahako ze he’e ho amo jinoboñeo, handrambesa’ iareo i fandrombahañe am’ Iesoà Norizañey rekets’ engeñe tsy ritsey. (aiōnios )
because of this I endure all things, because of the chosen ones, that they also may obtain salvation that [is] in Christ Jesus, with perpetual glory. (aiōnios )
11 Inao ty entañe to: Kanao nindre nivilasy ama’e tikañe, le ho veloñe mindre ama’e ka.
The word [is] steadfast: For if we died together—we will also live together;
12 Naho mahatañe tikañe, le hindre hifehe ama’e ka. F’ie lànen-tika, le ho farie’e ka.
if we endure together—we will also reign together; if we deny [Him], He will also deny us;
13 Naho tsy mahafiato tika, migahiñe re, fa tsy mete miteti-vatañe.
if we are not steadfast, He remains steadfast; He is not able to deny Himself.
14 Aniahio o raha zao, naho imaneo taroñe añatrefan’ Añahare le ko mifandietse an-tsaontsy, fa tsy manjofake naho mampivalitaboak’ o mpijanjiñeo.
Remind [them] of these things, testifying fully before the LORD—not to strive about words to nothing profitable, but to the subversion of those hearing;
15 Ilozoho ty hiatrefa’o aman’ Añahare ho mpifanehake no’e, tsy aman-ko salareñe, naho mahasalàhañe o tsaran-katòo;
be diligent to present yourself approved to God—a workman not ashamed, straightly cutting the word of truth;
16 le iholiaro ty reham-borosode, fa mampihànkañe ondaty ami’ty Hake,
and stand aloof from the profane vain talkings, for they will advance to more impiety,
17 fa handramban-tane hoe angorosy o reha’ iareoo. Mpiama’ iareo t’i Himeneo naho i Fileto;
and their word will have pasture as a gangrene, of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus,
18 songa nandrìke ami’ty hahiti’e, ie nivolañe te fa nifetsake i fivañonan-ko-veloñey, ze mamalike ty fatokisa’ o ila’eo,
who swerved concerning the truth, saying the resurrection to have already been, and overthrows the faith of some;
19 fe mijadoñe ty mananta-maozan’ Añahare, le pinatetse ama’e ty hoe: Arofoana’ i Talè o azeo, naho Tsy mahay tsy hiamboho ty raty ze manoñoñe ty tahina’ i Talè.
sure, nevertheless, the foundation of God has stood, having this seal: “The LORD has known those who are His,” and, “Let him depart from unrighteousness—everyone who is naming the Name of Christ.”
20 Tsy fitovy volafoty naho volamena avao ty ìsake amo anjomba jabajabao fa eo ka o aman-katae naho lietseo, eo ty amam-piasiañe, naho ty aman-katsorañe.
And in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth, and some to honor, and some to dishonor:
21 Aa ze miefe-batañe amy rezay ty ho fitovim-piasiañe, miavake naho mañeva ho fitoloña’ i Talè, veka’e amy ze hene sata soa.
if, then, anyone may cleanse himself from these, he will be a vessel to honor, sanctified and profitable to the master—having been prepared to every good work;
22 Mibolitira amo draon’ ajalahio, le imaneo havantañañe, figahiñañe, fikokoañe, vaho fifampilongoañe mitraoke amo mpikanjy i Talè añ’ arofo hiringiri’eo.
and flee the youthful lusts, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, with those calling on the LORD out of a pure heart;
23 Mihankaña amo fifanjeharañe minè, tsy aman-kilalao, ie oniñe te minday fifanjomorañe avao.
and be avoiding the foolish and uninstructed questions, having known that they beget strife,
24 Tsy hanotratsotrake ka ty mpitoro’ i Talè, fa ho lem-po am’ ie iabiy, mahay mañoke, naho mahafifeake tivetive,
and a servant of the LORD must not quarrel, but to be gentle to all, apt to teach, patient under evil,
25 mañity o mpandietseo an-kamoràn’ troke, ke ho metean’ Añahare ty hisolohoa’ iareo, handrendreke ty hatò,
instructing those opposing in meekness—if perhaps God may give to them conversion to an acknowledging of the truth,
26 hisotraha’ iareo hibolititse ami’ty fandri-bo’ i mpañìnje nandrohy iareo hanao ze nahin-troke.
and they may awake out of the Devil’s snare, having been caught by him at his will.
