< 2 Tesaloniana 1 >
1 I Paoly naho i Silasy vaho i Timoty, Ho amy Fivori’ o nte Tesalonika aman’ Añahare Raen-tika vaho i Talèntika Iesoà Norizañeio:
To the Thessalonian Church in union with God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, From Paul, Silas, and Timothy.
2 Hasoa naho Fañanintsiñe ama’ areo boak’ aman’ Añahare Rae naho i Talè Iesoà Norizañey.
May God, the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ bless you and give you peace.
3 Andriañe’ay nainai’e nahareo ry longo aman’ Añahare fa mañeva, amy te vata’e mitombo ty fatokisa’ areo vaho mitolom-pihavelo ty fifampikokoa’ areo,
Brothers, it is our duty always to thank God about you, as is but right, considering the wonderful growth of your faith, and because, without exception, your love for one another is continually increasing.
4 ie ty isengea’ay amo Fivorin’ Añahareo, toe ty fifeaha’ areo naho ty fatokisa’ areo amo fonga fampisoañañe naho faloviloviañe vavè’ areoo,
So much is this the case that we ourselves speak with pride, before the Churches of God, of the patience and faith which you have shown, in spite of all the persecutions and troubles that you are enduring.
5 ze toe mamente ty fahiti-tom-pizakan’ Añahare, te volilieñe mañeva i Fifehean’ Añaharey nahareo, ie toe ampisoañeñe.
These persecutions will vindicate the justice of God’s judgment, and will result in your being reckoned worthy of God’s Kingdom, for the sake of which you are now afflicted;
6 Ty havantañan’ Añahare ty andilova’e o mañembetse anahareo,
since God deems it just to inflict suffering upon those who are now inflicting suffering upon you,
7 naho hampanintsiñe anahareo nivolevolèñe vaho zahay, ami’ty fisodeha’ Iesoà Talè andindìñe eñe rekets’ o anjeli’eo añ’afo mibebañe ao,
and to give relief to you who are suffering, as well as to us, at the Appearing of the Lord Jesus from Heaven with his mighty angels, ‘in flaming fire.’
8 hamalea’e an-tsotry ze tsy mahafohiñe an’ Andrianañahare, ie tsy mañorike i talily soa’ i Talèntika Iesoà Norizañeiy,
Then he will ‘inflict punishment upon those who refuse to know God, and upon those who turn a deaf ear’ to the Good News of Jesus, our Lord.
9 fa ho liloveñe am-pimongorañe nainai’e lavitse ty fiatrefa’ i Talè naho ty enge’ i haozara’ey, (aiōnios )
These men will pay the penalty of unutterable Ruin — banished ‘from the presence of the Lord and from the glorious manifestation of his might, (aiōnios )
10 ie mitotsake atoy ho rengèñe amo noro’eo vaho hifalea’ o hene mpiatoo amy andro zay, amy te natokisa’ areo i nitaroña’aiy.
when he comes to be honour ed in his People,’ and to be revered in all who have learned to believe in him (for you also believed our testimony) — as he will be on ‘That Day.’
11 Le zao ty ihalalia’ay nainai’e ho anahareo, t’ie ho volilien’ Añaharen-tika te hañeva i fikanjiañey naho ho henefa’e ze hene fisalalan-kasoa naho fitoloñam-patokisañe an-kaozarañe,
With this in view, our constant prayer for you is that our God may count you worthy of the Call that you have received, and by his power make perfect your delight in all goodness and the efforts that have resulted from your faith.
12 soa te honjoneñe ama’ areo ty tahina’ Iesoà Talèntikañey, vaho inahareo ama’e ao, ty amy fatarihan’ Añaharen-tika naho i Talè Iesoà Norizañeiy.
Then, in the loving-kindness of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ, will the name of Jesus, our Lord, be honoured in you, and you in him.
