< 2 Samoela 8 >

1 Ie añe, linafa’ i Davide o nte-Pilistio le navoho’e ambane vaho tinava’ i Davide am-pità’ o nte Pilistio ty renen-drova’ iareo.
After this now, Dauid smote the Philistims, and subdued them, and Dauid tooke the bridle of bondage out of the hand of the Philistims.
2 Linafa’e ka o nte-Moabeo le zinehe’e an-taly, ie nampibaboheñe an-tane eo; nanjehe taly roe ho zamañe, le nitana’e ho veloñe ty taly raike. Aa le nitoroñe i Davide o nte-Moabeo, nañenga ama’e.
And hee smote Moab, and measured them with a corde, and cast them downe to the ground: he measured them with two cordes to put them to death, and with one full corde to keepe them aliue: so became the Moabites Dauids seruants, and brought giftes.
3 Linafa’ i Davide ka t’i Kadadetsere ana’ i Rekobe, mpanjaka’ i Tsobà, amy nionjona’e mb’ an-tsaka Eofrata mb’eo hampijadoñe ty fifehea’e.
Dauid smote also Hadadezer the sonne of Rehob King of Zobah, as he went to recouer his border at the riuer Euphrates.
4 Tinava’ i Davide ama’e ty mpiningi-tsoavala arivo-tsi-fiton-jato, naho lahindefoñe ro’ ale; le nanoe’ i Davide fira-sintake iaby o soavalan-tsareteo naho tsy ty zato nahaja’e ho an-tsarete zato.
And Dauid tooke of them a thousand and seuen hundreth horsemen, and twenty thousande footemen, and Dauid destroyed all the charets, but he reserued an hundreth charets of them.
5 Aa ie pok’eo o nte-Arame boake Damasek’ añeo hañolotse i Kadadetsere mpanjaka’ i Tsobà, le zinevo’ i Davide ty ro-ale-tsi-ro-arivo lahindefo’ o nte-Arameo.
Then came the Aramites of Dammesek to succour Hadadezer king of Zobah, but Dauid slewe of the Aramites two and twenty thousande men.
6 Nampipoha’ i Davide e Arame’ i Damasek’ ao ty mpirai-lian-dahindefoñe naho nanoeñe mpitoro’ i Davide o nte-Arameo, vaho nañenga ama’e. Tinolo’ Iehovà fandreketañe amy ze nomba’e iaby t’i Davide.
And Dauid put a garison in Aram of Damesek: and the Aramites became seruants to Dauid, and brought gifts. And the Lord saued Dauid wheresoeuer he went.
7 Rinambe’ i Davide ze fikalan-defo volamena amo mpitoro’ i Kadadetsereo vaho nasese’e e Ierosalaime añe.
And Dauid tooke the shieldes of gold that beloged to the seruants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Ierusalem.
8 Le nangalà’ i Davide torisike tsifotofoto ty Betà naho i Berotae, rova’ i Kadadetsere.
And out of Betah, and Berothai (cities of Hadadezer) king Dauid brought exceeding much brasse.
9 Aa ie jinanji’ i Toy, mpanjaka’ i Kamate te fonga zinevo’ i Davide ty valobohò’ i Kadadetsere,
Then Toi king of Hamath heard howe Dauid had smitten all the hoste of Hadadezer,
10 le nampihitrife’ i Toy amy Davide mpanjaka ty ana’e Iorame, hañontane aze naho hitata aze ty amy nialia’e i Kadadetsere naho nahagioke; fa nimpialy amy Toy t’i Kadadetsere, le nandesa’ Iorame fanake volafoty naho fanake volamena vaho fanake torisike.
Therefore Toi sent Ioram his sonne vnto King Dauid, to salute him, and to reioyce with him because he had fought against Hadadezer, and beaten him (for Hadadezer had warre with Toi) who brought with him vessels of siluer, and vessels of golde, and vessels of brasse.
11 Nengae’ i Davide mpanjaka am’ Iehovà izay, mindre amo volafoty naho volamena navi’e boak’ amo hene fifeheañe nampiambanea’eoo:
And King Dauid did dedicate them vnto the Lord with the siluer and golde that he had dedicate of all the nations, which he had subdued:
12 boak’ Arame naho i Moabe naho amo ana’ i Amoneo naho amo nte-Pilistio naho amy Amaleke vaho amo nikopaheñe amy Kadadetsere, ana’ i Rekobe, mpanjaka’ i Tsobàio.
Of Aram, and of Moab, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistims, and of Amalek, and of the spoyle of Hadadezer ye sonne of Rehob King of Zobah.
13 Nahazo asiñe t’i Davide te nimpoly amy nandafañe o nte-Arameo am-bavatanen-tsira ao, ondaty rai-ale-tsi-valo-arivo.
So Dauid gate a name after that hee returned, and had slayne of the Aramites in the valley of salt eighteene thousand men.
14 Nampipoha’e mpirai’ lia t’i Edome, toe nitsitsihe’e mpirai-lia ty Edome vaho hene natao mpitoro’ i Davide o nte-Edomeo. Natolo’ Iehovà amy Davide ty fandreketañe ndra aia’aia ty nomba’e.
And he put a garison in Edom: throughout all Edom put he souldiers, and all they of Edom became Dauids seruants: and the Lord kept Dauid whithersoeuer he went.
15 Nifelehe’ i Davide t’Israele iaby naho nizaka ze hene ondati’e an-kavantañañe naho an-kavañonañe.
Thus Dauid reigned ouer all Israel, and executed iudgement and iustice vnto all his people.
16 Ioabe ana’ i Tseroia ty nifehe i valobohòkey; naho mpamolily t’Iehosafate, ana’i Akilode;
And Ioab the sonne of Zeruiah was ouer the hoste, and Ioshaphat the sonne of Ahilud was recorder.
17 mpisoroñe t’i Tsadoke ana’ i Akitobe naho i Akimelek’ ana’ i Abiatare; naho mpitan-tsokitse t’i Sereià;
And Zadok the sonne of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the sonne of Abiathar were the Priestes, and Seraiah the Scribe.
18 naho mpifehe’ o nte-Keretìo naho o nte-Peletìo t’i Benaià, ana’ Iehodaià; vaho talèm-pifehe o ana’ i Davideo.
And Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada and the Cherethites and the Pelethites, and Dauids sonnes were chiefe rulers.
