< 2 Mpanjaka 12 >

1 Tan-taom-paha-fitom-pifehea’ Ieho ty namotora’ Iehoase nifehe, le nifehe efa-polo taoñe e Ierosalaime ao. I Zibiàe nte Beereseba ty tahinan-drene’e.
Joas began to reign in the seventh year of Ju, and he reigned forty years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name [was] Sabia of Bersabee.
2 Le nanao ty havantañañe am-pivazohoa’ Iehovà t’Iehoase amo hene andro nañanara’ Iehoiada mpisoroñe azeo.
And Joas did that which was right in the sight of the Lord all the days that Jodae the priest instructed him.
3 Fe mbe tsy nafahañe o toets-aboo; nitolom-pisoroñe naho nañembok’ an-kaboañe ey avao ondatio.
Only there were not [any] of the high places removed, and the people still sacrificed there, and burned incense on the high places.
4 Hoe t’Iehoase amo mpisoroñeo: Ze drala’ o raha miavake nengaeñeo, o mimoak’ añ’ anjomba’ Iehovào, i vili-lohay, i drala mañeva ondaty kiraikiraikey, vaho ze drala entoen’ arofo’ ondaty hendese’e mb’ añ’ anjomba’ Iehovà mb’eo,
And Joas said to the priests, [As for] all the money of the holy things that is brought into the house of the Lord, the money of valuation, [as] each man brings the money of valuation, all the money which any man may feel disposed to bring into the house of the Lord,
5 le hendesa’ o mpisoroñeo, songa ondaty boak’ amy nibanabana ama’ey, hamboareñe o vaky amy anjombaio, ndra aia’ aia ty aharendrehañe te vaky.
let the priests take it to themselves, every man from [the proceeds of] his sale: and they shall repair the breaches of the house in all [places] wherever a breach shall be found.
6 Fe amy taom-paha roapolo-telo’ ambi’ Iehoase mpanjakay le mbe tsy namboare’ o mpisoroñeo avao o vaky amy anjombaio.
And it came to pass in the twenty-third year of king Joas the priests [had] not repaired the breaches of the house.
7 Aa le kinanji’ Iehoase t’Iehoiada mpisoroñe naho o mpisoroñeo, le nanoa’e ty hoe: Manao akore te tsy namboare’ areo o vaky amy anjombaio? Aa le ko rambese’ areo i vola’ o mibanabana ama’ areooy, fa atoloro ho amo vaky añ’ anjombao.
And king Joas called Jodae the priest, and the [other] priests, and said to them, Why have you not repaired the breaches of the house? now then receive no [more] money from your sales, for you shall give it to [repair the] breaches of the house.
8 Aa le niantofa’ o mpisoroñeo ty tsy handrambe drala am’ ondatio, vaho tsy hanandily amy fañamboareñe o vaky amy anjombaio ka.
And the priests consented to receive no more money of the people, and not to repair the breaches of the house.
9 Rinambe’ Iehoiada, mpisoroñe, ty vata le namosera’e hirik’ an-tako’e eo, vaho napo’e marine i kitreliy, añ’ila havana’ ty fimoahañe añ’ anjomba’ Iehovà ey; le nagorogoda’ o mpisoroñe mpañambeñe i lalañeio ze hene drala nasese mb’añ’ anjomba’ Iehovà mb’eo.
And Jodae the priest took a chest, and bored a hole in the lid of it, and set it by the altar in the house of a man [belonging to] the house of the Lord, and the priests that kept the door put [therein] all the money that was found in the house of the Lord.
10 Ie zoe’ iereo te maro ty drala am-po’ i vata añ’ anjomba’ Iehovày, le nionjomb’eo ty mpitan-tsokim-panjaka naho ty mpisorom-bey nañiake i volay, vaho nandrohy aze an-kòntrañe ao.
And it came to pass, when they saw that [there was] much money in the chest, that the king's scribe and the high priest went up, and they tied up and counted the money that was found in the house of the Lord.
11 Natolo’ iereo am-pità’ o nanao i fitoloñañeio naho amo mpanandily añ’anjomba’ Iehovào i vola linanjay; le nikaramae’ iareo o mpandranjio, naho o mpamboatse nitoloñe amy anjomba’ Iehovàio;
And they gave the money that had been collected into the hands of them that wrought the works, the overseers of the house of the Lord; and they gave it out to the carpenters and to the builders that wrought in the house of the Lord.
12 naho o masò naho mpipèke vatoo naho nikaloañe hatae naho vato hinaly hanosohañe o vaky añ’ anjomba’ Iehovào, vaho ze he’e sinafiry hañamboareñe i anjombay.
And to the masons, and to the hewers of stone, to purchase timber and hewn stone to repair the breaches of the house of the Lord, for all that was spent on the house of the Lord to repair [it].
13 Fe tsy nitsene fitovy volafoty ndra fampikipehañe ndra sajoa ndra trompetra ndra fanake inoñ’ inoñe volamena ndra fanake volafoty ho a i anjomba’ Iehovày i drala najoñ’ añ’anjomba’ Iehovày,
Only there were not to be made for the house of the Lord silver plates, studs, bowls, or trumpets, any vessel of gold or vessel of silver, of the money that was brought into the house of the Lord:
14 fa natolo’ iareo amo nanao i fitoloñañeio, handranjy i anjomba’ Iehovày.
for they were to give it to the workmen, and they repaired therewith the house of the Lord.
15 Mbore tsy nifamolily am’ondaty nanolorañe i drala am-pitàñe hañaramañe o nifanehakeoy; amy t’ie nitoloñ’ an-dili-po.
Also they took no account of the men into whose hands they gave the money to give to the workmen, for they acted faithfully.
16 Tsy nasese añ’ anjomba’ Iehovà o dralan’ engan-kakeo naho engan-dilatseo, amy t’ie fanaña’ o mpisoroñeo.
Money for a sin-offering, and money for a trespass-offering, whatever happened to be brought into the house of the Lord, went to the priests.
17 Nionjomb’eo amy zao t’i Kazaele mpanjaka’ i Arame, nialy amy Gate, naho tinava’e; vaho natoli’ i Kazele mb’e Ierosalaime ty lahara’e.
Then went up Azael king of Syria, and fought against Geth, and took it: and Azael set his face to go against Jerusalem.
18 Le rinambe’ Iehoase mpanjaka’ Iehoda o raha miavake iaby nengae’ Iehosafate naho Iehorame naho i Ahkazià, roae’e, mpanjaka’ Iehodao naho o raha nengae’eo vaho ze volamena iaby nizoeñe am-pañajan-drala añ’ anjomba’ Iehovà naho añ’ anjomba’ i mpanjakay, vaho nampihitrife’e mb’ amy Kazaele mpanjaka’ i Arame mb’eo; le napo’e t’Ierosalaime.
And Joas king of Juda took all the holy things which Josaphat, and Joram, Ochozias, his fathers, and kings of Juda [had] consecrated, and what he had himself dedicated, and all the gold that was found in the treasures of the Lord's house and the king's house, and he sent [them] to Azael king of Syria; and he went up from Jerusalem.
19 Ty fitoloña’ Ioase ila’e, o tolon-draha’e iabio, tsy fa sinokitse am-bokem-pamoliliañe o mpanjaka’ Iehodao hao?
And the rest of the acts of Joas, and all that he did, behold, [are] not these things written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Juda?
20 Niongak’ amy zao o mpitoro’eo; nikinia, vaho zinevo’ iereo t’Iehoase e Bete-milò, amy fizotsoañe mb’e Silà mb’ eoy.
And his servants rose up and made a conspiracy, and struck Joas in the house of Mallo that is in Sela.
21 Iozakare, ana’ i Simeate naho Iehozabade ana’ i Somere, mpitoro’e, ty nañoho-doza ama’e, le nihomake vaho nalentek’ aman-droae’e an-drova’ i Davide ao; le nandimbe aze nifehe t’i Amatsià ana’e.
And Jezirchar the son of Jemuath, and Jezabuth Somer's son, his servants, struck him, and he died; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Amessias his son reigned in his stead.
