1 Niroapolo taoñe lim’ amby t’Iotame te niorotse nifehe, le nifehe folo-taoñe eneñ’ amby e Ierosalaime ao; Ierosà, ana’ i Tsadoke, ty tahinan-drene’e;
Twenty and five years old was Jotham when he became king, and sixteen years did he reign in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Yerushah, the daughter of Zadok.
2 le nanao ty fahiti’e am-pihaino’ Iehovà, an-tsatan-drae’e Ozià iaby; f’ie tsy nimoak’ an-kiboho’ Iehovà ao. Fe mbe nitolon-kaloloañe avao ondatio.
And he did what is right in the eyes of the Lord, in accordance with all that his father 'Uzziyahu had done: only he entered not into the temple of the Lord. But the people acted still corruptly.
3 Namboare’e ty lalambey ambone’ i anjomba’ Iehovày, le natratrañahe’e ty kijoli’ i Ofele.
He it was that built the upper gate of the house of the Lord, and on the wall of the hill-fort he built much.
4 Mbore namboare’e rova am-bohibohi’ Iehoda añe naho toetse fatratse reke-pitalakesañ’abo añ’àla ao.
Moreover he built cities in the mountain of Judah, and in the forests he built castles and towers.
5 Nialia’e i mpanjaka’ o ana’ i Amoneoy vaho nahareketse. Nandroroñe talenta volafoty zato ama’e amy taoñey o ana’ i Amoneo naho fañaranam-bare-bolè rai-ale naho vare-hordea rai-ale. Mira amy zay ty nandroroña’ o ana’ i Amoneo aze amy taom-paharoe naho taom-pahateloy.
And he likewise fought with the king of the sons of 'Ammon, and prevailed against them. And the children of 'Ammon gave him in that same year one hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand kors of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. So much did the children of 'Ammon pay unto him again, both in the second year, and in the third.
6 Aa le nihafatratse t’Iotame, amy te nalaha’e añatrefa’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’e o lia’eo.
So Jotham became strong; because he directed his ways before the Lord his God.
7 Aa naho o fitoloña’ Iotame ila’eo, o ali’e iabio naho o sata’eo, oniño te sinokitse amy bokem-panjaka’ Israele naho Iehodày.
And the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars, and his ways, lo, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
8 Roapolo taoñe lim’ amby re te niorotse nifehe le nifehe folo taoñe eneñ’amby e Ierosalaime ao.
Five and twenty years old was he when he became king, and sixteen years did he reign in Jerusalem.
9 Le nitrao-piròtse aman-droae’e naho nalenteke an-drova’ i Davide ao vaho nandimbe aze nifehe t’i Ahkaze ana’e.
And Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Achaz his son became king in his stead.
