1 Niroapolo taoñe lim’ amby t’Iotame te niorotse nifehe, le nifehe folo-taoñe eneñ’ amby e Ierosalaime ao; Ierosà, ana’ i Tsadoke, ty tahinan-drene’e;
Joatham [was] twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name [was] Jerusa, daughter of Sadoc.
2 le nanao ty fahiti’e am-pihaino’ Iehovà, an-tsatan-drae’e Ozià iaby; f’ie tsy nimoak’ an-kiboho’ Iehovà ao. Fe mbe nitolon-kaloloañe avao ondatio.
And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Ozias did: but he went not into the temple of the Lord. And still the people corrupted themselves.

In the mountain of Juda, and in the woods, [he built] both dwelling-places and towers.
5 Nialia’e i mpanjaka’ o ana’ i Amoneoy vaho nahareketse. Nandroroñe talenta volafoty zato ama’e amy taoñey o ana’ i Amoneo naho fañaranam-bare-bolè rai-ale naho vare-hordea rai-ale. Mira amy zay ty nandroroña’ o ana’ i Amoneo aze amy taom-paharoe naho taom-pahateloy.
He fought against the king of the children of Ammon, and prevailed against him: and the children of Ammon gave him even annually a hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. These the king of the children of Ammon brought to him annually in the first and second and third years.

Joatham grew strong, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.
7 Aa naho o fitoloña’ Iotame ila’eo, o ali’e iabio naho o sata’eo, oniño te sinokitse amy bokem-panjaka’ Israele naho Iehodày.
And the rest of the acts of Joatham, and his war, and his deeds, behold, [they are] written in the book of the kings of Juda and Israel.
8 Roapolo taoñe lim’ amby re te niorotse nifehe le nifehe folo taoñe eneñ’amby e Ierosalaime ao.
9 Le nitrao-piròtse aman-droae’e naho nalenteke an-drova’ i Davide ao vaho nandimbe aze nifehe t’i Ahkaze ana’e.
And Joatham slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David: and Achaz his son reigned in his stead.
