< 1 Timoty 1 >

1 I Paoly, Firàhe’ Iesoà Norizañey, ty amy lilin’ Añahare Mpandrombake antikañe naho Iesoà Norizañe fitamàn-tikañey,
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to a command of God our Savior, and of the Lord Jesus Christ our hope,
2 Ho a i Timoty, toe anako am-patokisañe: Hasoa naho fiferenaiñañe vaho fañanintsiñe boak’ aman’ Añahare Rae naho i Talèntika Iesoà Norizañey.
to Timotheus—genuine child in faith: Grace, kindness, peace, from God our Father and Christ Jesus our Lord!
3 Inay i nañosihako azoy, izaho nionjoñe mb’e Makedonia añe, le t’ihe hitoboke e Efesosy ao heike, handily o ila’eo tsy hañoke fañòhañe hafa,
According as I exhorted you to remain in Ephesus—I going on to Macedonia—that you might charge certain [ones] not to teach any other thing,
4 naho tsy ho haoñe’o o talilin-taoloo naho o toñon-droae tsy migadoñeo fa mampifandietse avao, he ho soloa’e i fañòhan’ Añahare mitoloñe am-patokisañey.
nor to give heed to fables and endless genealogies, that cause questions rather than [the] stewardship of God which [is] in faith.
5 Fa ty firefea’ o fanoroañeo le fikokoañe boak’ añ’arofo hiringiri’e naho hazavàn-troke miharo fatokisañe to;
And the end of the charge is love out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of unhypocritical faith,
6 teo ty nitsile ami’ty hiti’e naho nidrikiñe mb’ an-drehake borosode añe,
from which certain [men], having swerved, turned aside to vain discourse,
7 ie te ho mpañoke Hake, fe tsy apota’e ndra ze rehafe’e ndra o raha vontitire’eo.
willing to be teachers of law, not understanding either the things they say, nor concerning what they confidently assert,
8 Fohintika te soa t’i Hake naho oriheñe ami’ty lili’e,
and we have known that the Law [is] good, if anyone may use it lawfully;
9 tsapa te tsy afetsake ami’ty vantañe t’i Hake fa ami’ty tsy mañaon-Kàke, o mpanjehatseo, o mpiolao naho o tsivokatseo; o aman-tahiñeo naho o miteraterao, ho amo mpamono rae naho reneo, o mpañoho-dozao,
having known this, that law is not set for a righteous man, but for lawless and insubordinate persons, ungodly and sinners, impious and profane, murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, manslayers,
10 o mpañarapiloo, o sambe-lahy mpifandeotseo, o mpañovok’ ondatio, o mpandañitseo, o mpitalily vilañeo, vaho ze mpandietse fañòhañe to,
whoremongers, homosexuals, enslavers, liars, perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is adverse to sound doctrine,
11 ty amy talili-soan’ Añahare rengeñe nafantoke amakoy.
according to the good news of the glory of the blessed God, with which I was entrusted.
12 Andriañeko i Talèntika Iesoà Norizañey mampaozatse ahikoy, amy te natao’e ho migahiñe, vaho najado’e amy fitoroñañey,
And I give thanks to Him who enabled me—Christ Jesus our Lord—that He reckoned me steadfast, having put [me] to the ministry,
13 zaho nimpiteratera naho mpampisoañe vaho nimpijoy heike; fe niferenaiñañe amy te nanoeko tsy aman-kilala tsy am-patokisañe,
who before was speaking slander, and persecuting, and insulting, but I found kindness, because, being ignorant, I did [it] in unbelief,
14 le nidobañe amako ty hasoa’ i Talèn-tikañey reketse ty fatokisañe naho fikokoañe am’ Iesoà Norizañey.
and the grace of our Lord exceedingly abounded, with faith and love that [is] in Christ Jesus.
15 Taroñe atokisañe naho mañeva fiantofañe pea, te, Nivotrake an-tane atoy t’Iesoà Norizañe handrombake o aman-kakeoo, izaho ty lombolombo’e;
The word [is] steadfast, and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am first;
16 fe zao ty nitretrezañe ahy, ty amy hoe zay, soa te amako hey ty nampalangesa’ Iesoà Norizañey ty fahaliñisa’e do’e, hitsikombea’ o hiato ama’eo, hiveloma’e nainai’ey. (aiōnios g166)
but because of this I found kindness, that Jesus Christ might first show forth all long-suffering in me, for a pattern of those about to believe on Him to continuous life. (aiōnios g166)
17 Ho amy Mpanjaka tsy ho modo, tsy ho momoke, tsy isakey, i Andrianañahare mahihitse tsy roe tsy teloy abey, ty asiñe naho ty engeñe nainai’e donia. Amena. (aiōn g165)
And to the King of the ages, the incorruptible, invisible, only wise God, [is] honor and glory through the ages of the ages! Amen. (aiōn g165)
18 Inao ty fanoroañe hafantoko ama’o, ry Timoty anake, ty amo nitokiañe ama’oo, t’ie mañorike irezay ro hifañotak’ amy aly soay,
I commit to you this charge, child Timotheus, according to the prophecies that went before on you, that you may war in them the good warfare,
19 hifahatse am-patokisañe naho an-kazavàn-troke; ie fa namoea’ o ila’eo, le nanao ty fatokisa’ iareo ho làka-nijoroboñe.
having faith and a good conscience, which some having thrust away, made shipwreck concerning the faith,
20 Mpiam’ iereo t’i Himeneo naho i Aleksandro ze natoloko hioke amy mpañìnjey, tsy hiteratera.
of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan, that they might be instructed not to speak evil.
