1 Ko mitrevoke androanavy, fa ahitio hoe rae naho o gaon-dahio hoe rahalahy,
An elder not you may rebuke but do exhort [him] as a father, younger [men] as brothers,
2 o rakembao hoe rene, o somondrarao hoe rahavave, ami’ty hakanitso’e do’e.
elder [women] as mothers, [and] younger [women] as sisters in all purity.
3 Iasio o ramavoiñeo, o toe vantotseo.
Widows do honor who [are] truly widows.
4 Aa naho aman’ anake ndra afe ty vantotse, le soa re te hioke he ty hitoloñe ami’ty lilim-pitalahoañe añ’anjomba’e ao, hañavaha’e ty nisongoeñe aman-droae’e, fa izay ty non’ Añahare am-pivazohoa’e.
If however any widow children or grandchildren has, they should learn first [her] own household to be devout and recompense to give to parents; this for is (good and *K*) pleasing before God.
5 Fa mitamà an’ Andrianañahare ka i toe vantotsey i nengañe ho vahiniy, ie mitolom-piloloke naho mihalaly handro an-kaleñe;
She who [is] now indeed a widow and abandoned she has hope in (*ko*) God and she continues in supplications and in prayers by night and day;
6 fe mikoromake o mierañerañe añ’ arimoeñeo ndra t’ie veloñe.
She however living in self-indulgence [while] living has died.
7 Afantoho ka irezay soa tsy hinjeañe.
Also these things do command, so that above reproach they may be.
8 Aa naho eo ty tsy mamahañe o azeo, àntsake o keleia’eo, le fa nifary i fatokisañey vaho lombolombo’ ty tsi-miato.
If now anyone [their] own and especially (of the *k*) [their] household not (does provide for, *N(k)O*) the faith he has denied and he is than an unbeliever worse.
9 Ampivolilieñe ho vantotse ze ambone’ ty enem-polo taoñe, migahiñe amy tañanjomba’e,
A widow should ld be enrol not less than years [old] sixty having been of one man [the] wife,
10 mbore aman’ engeñe amo tolon-draha soa’eo, ie fa nahabey anake, naho fa nampiantraño ambahiny, naho fa nanasa ty fandia’ o noro’eo, naho fa nanaha o misotrio, vaho fa nahimbam-pañorike ty fitoloñan-tsoa.
in works good being borne witness to, if she has brought up children, if she entertained strangers, if saints’ feet she has washed, if to those being oppressed she has imparted relief, if to every work good she has followed after.
11 Fe liero ty vantotse tora’e, hera ho likoare’ ty hadraom-bata’e ty fiatoa’e amy Norizañey, vaho hisalala hanambaly;
Younger however widows do refuse; when for they may grow wanton against Christ, to marry they desire
12 mamà-batañe iereo amy te napoke i fatokisa’ iareo valoha’ey.
incurring judgment because the first faith they have cast off;
13 Ie amy zay, mizatse mikopiso, mitsatsà-traño; le tsy vaho mihànitse avao fa toe matsindrañe naho mitolom-bolañe; mivolan-draha tsy mañeva.
At the same time then also [to be] idle they learn going about house to house. not only then idle, but also gossips and busybodies, speaking [things] not being proper.
14 Aa le osiheko hangala-baly o vantotse tora’eo, hiterake, hañalahala anjomba, soa tsy omen-dalañe i rafelahiy hañìnje.
I want therefore [the] younger [ones] to marry, to bear children, to manage their households, no occasion to give to the [one] opposing of reproach because;
15 Toe fa nitsile nanonjohy i mpañìnjey o ila’eo.
Already for some have turned aside after Satan.
16 Aa naho aman-dongo vantotse ty rakemba mpiato, soa re te atrafe’e, le tsy i Fivoriy ty hiloetse ama’e, fa o toe vantotseo ro fahana’e.
If any (faithful or *K*) believing [woman] has [dependent] widows, (she should help *NK(o)*) to them and not should be burdened the church, so that to those [who are] truly widows it may impart relief.
17 Mañeva asiñe indroe o androanavy mifehe soao, àntsake o mpifanehake amo tsarao naho amo fañòhañeoo.
The well already ruling elders of double honor should be counted worthy especially those straining in [the] word and [the] teaching;
18 Fa hoe i Sokitse Masiñey: Ko vihine’o ty vavan’añombe mandisañe, naho, Mañeva ty rima’e ty mpièke.
Says for the Scripture; An ox treading out grain not you will muzzle; and Worthy [is] the workman of the wages of him.
19 Ko mañaon-tsisý amy t’indaty bey naho tsy telo ndra roe ty valolombeloñe.
Against an elder an accusation not do receive unless only except upon two or three witnesses.
20 Endaho aolo’ i màroy ty mitolom-pandilatse, hihembaña’ o ila’eo.
(now *o*) sinning before all do rebuke, so that also the rest fear may have.
21 Afantoko añatrefan’ Añahare naho Iesoà Norizañey vaho o anjely jinoboñeo irehe ty hañambeñe irezay, le ko mirihy, ko mañisokisoke aman-dra inoñ’ inoñe.
I earnestly testify before God and (Lord *K*) Christ Jesus and the elect angels that these things you may keep apart from prejudice nothing doing out of partiality.
22 Ko meke hanampe fitàñe ama’ ondaty, vaho ko mitraoke ami’ty hatsivokara’ o ila’eo; vontitiro ty halio-tahi’o.
Hands soon on no one do lay nor do share in [the] sins of others, yourself pure do keep.
23 Ko minon-drano avao fa ano divay kede ty ami’ty fisafoa’o naho o fangonora’oo.
No longer do drink [only] water, but wine a little do use because of the stomach (of you *K*) and the frequent of you ailments.
24 Malange ty hakeo’ ondaty ila’e ie miaolo iareo mb’an-jaka mb’eo, fe mañorike afara ty ila’e.
Of some men the sins manifest are going before [them] to judgment; of some however also they appear later.
25 Midodea ka o sata soao, fe ndra tsy izay, tsy hay aetake avao.
Likewise also the works good evident (is *k*) and even those otherwise being to be concealed not (are able. *N(k)O*)
