< 1 Tesaloniana 5 >
1 Aa ty amo androo naho o sa-ao, ry longo, tsy ipaia’ areo ho sokireñe.
But, concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, —ye have, no need, that, unto you, anything be written;
2 Fa toe fohi’ areo te ho tondroke manahake ty mpamaoke haleñe ty andro’ i Talè.
For, ye yourselves, perfectly well know—that, the day of the Lord, as a thief in the night, so, cometh;
3 Ie manao ty hoe, Fierañerañañe naho Fañanintsiñe! te mone hiambotrahan-karotsahañe, manahake ty fitsongoan-drakemba mivesatse, ie tsy hahabolititse.
As soon as they begin to say—Peace! and safety! then, suddenly, upon them, cometh destruction, —just as the birth-throe unto her that is with child, —and in nowise shall they escape.
4 Fe tsy añ’ieñe ao nahareo ry longo, hivovoa’ i andro zay hoe malaso.
But, ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that, the day, upon you, as upon thieves, should lay hold;
5 F’ie songa an-kazavàñe naho ana’ ty atoandro, tsy mpiamo haleñeo ndra o fimoromoroñañeo.
For, all ye, are, sons of light, and sons of day, —we are not of night, nor of darkness:
6 Aa ee t’ie tsy hirotse, manahake o ila’eo, fa hitao naho hilie-batañe.
Hence, then, let us not be sleeping, as the rest, but let us watch and be sober: —
7 Mirotse haleñe o mirotseo naho mamo haleñe o mpijikeo.
For, they that sleep, by night, do sleep, and, they that drink, by night, do drink: —
8 Aa kanao mpiamo atoandroo, antao ho marea, hampitsetake ty fikalañan’ arañam-patokisañe naho fikokoañe vaho hisabaka i fitamàm-pandrombahañey.
But, we, being of the day, let us be sober, putting on a breastplate of faith and love, and, for helmet, the hope of salvation.
9 Tsy tinendren’ Añahare ho an-kaviñerañe tika, fa t’ie ho rombaheñe añamy Talèntika Iesoà Norizañey,
Because God did not appoint us unto anger, but unto acquiring salvation through our Lord Jesus [Christ]: —
10 ie nivilasy ho antikañe, le he mañente ke mirotse ro hitraofan-tika haveloñe.
Who died for us, in order that, whether we be watching or sleeping, together with him, we should live.
11 Aa le mifañosiha, naho mifampiraoraòa, hambañe ami’ty fanoe’ areo avao.
Wherefore be consoling one another, and building up, each the other, —even as ye are also doing.
12 Mihalaly ama’ areo zahay, ry longo, ty hiasia’ areo o mpifanehake ama’ areo naho mpifehe vaho mpanoro anahareoo amy Talè ao.
Now we request you, brethren, —to know them who are toiling among you, and presiding over you, in the Lord, and admonishing you;
13 Le aonjono am-pikokoañe o fitoloña’ iareoo, vaho mifampilongoa.
And to hold them in very high esteem, in love, their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves,
14 Risihe’ay nahareo ry longo, hatahatào o mañarinjeñeo, ohoño o mimoremoretseo, imbao o midazidazìtseo vaho hene ilofiho.
But we exhort you, brethren—admonish the disorderly, soothe them of little soul, help the weak, be longsuffering towards all:
15 Asoao tsy hamalean-draty ty raty ndra ama’ ia ia, fe paiao nainai’e ty hañasoa ty ila’e naho ze fonga ondaty.
See that none, evil for evil, unto any, do render: but, evermore, what is good, be pursuing, towards one another, and towards all:
18 kila andriañeñe; fa izay ty satrin’ Añahare ho anahareo am’ Iesoà Norizañey.
In everything, give thanks, —for, this, is a thing willed of God, in Christ Jesus, towards you:
The Spirit, do not quench,
20 Ko mavoeñe o fitokiañeo,
Prophesyings, do not despise,
21 fa biribirio ze he’e; tambozoro ty soa.
[But], all things, put to the proof—what is comely, hold ye fast:
22 Ifoneño ze atao haratiañe.
From every form of wickedness, abstain.
23 I Andrianañaharem-pañanintsiñey abey ro hañeneke ty fiavaha’areo, hañaro ty arofo naho ty fiaiñe vaho ty sandri’ areo ho fonitse tsy aman-kila amy fitotsaha’ i Talèntika Iesoà Norizañeiy.
But, the God of peace himself, hallow you completely, and, entire, might your spirit, and soul, and body, —[so as to be] unblameable in the Presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, —be preserved!
24 Migahiñe t’i mikanjy anahareo, Ie ro hañeneke izay.
Faithful, is he that is calling you, —who, also will perform.
25 Ry rahalahio, mihalalia ho anay.
Brethren! be praying for us [also].
26 Añontaneo an’ oroke miavake o longo iabio,
Salute all the brethren with a holy kiss.
27 Afantoko ama’ areo amy Talè ty hamaky ty taratasy toy amo longo iabio.
I adjure you, by the Lord, that the letter be read unto all the brethren!
28 Ho ama’ areo abey ty hasoa’ i Talèntika Iesoà Norizañey.
The favour of our Lord Jesus Christ, be with you.
