< 1 Tesaloniana 4 >

1 Ie amy zao ry longo, ihalalia’ay, naho risihe’ay amy Talè Iesoà, ty hitomboa’ areo nainai’e amo fañaveloañe nañoha’aio, naho hañasìtra an’ Andrianañahare;
Wherefore, my brethren, I entreat you, and beseech you by our Lord Jesus, that, as ye have received from us how ye ought to walk, and to please God, so ye would make progress more and more.
2 fa fohi’ areo o fanoroañe natolo’ay anahareo añam’ Iesoà Talèo.
For ye know what command we gave you in our Lord Jesus the Messiah.
3 Inao ty satrin’ Añahare: t’ie hiavake, hisitak’ ami’ty fiolorañe tsy mañeva;
For this is the pleasure of God, your sanctification; and that ye be separated from all whoredom;
4 ie songa mahay milie-batañe ho ami’ty fiavahañe naho asiñe,
and that each one of you might know how to possess his vessel, in sanctity and in honor;
5 tsy hilomoloañe an-kadrao manahake o kilakila’ ondaty tsy mahafohiñe an’ Andrianañahareo;
and not in the concupiscence of lust, like the rest of the Gentiles who know not God:
6 sindre tsy handilatse naho hañaramamo an-drahalahi’e; fa i Talè ro mpamale i hene rezay, hambañe amy nimanea’ay hatahata ama’ areoy.
and that ye dare not to transgress and to overreach any one his brother, in this matter; because our Lord is the avenger of all these, as also we have said and testified to you in time past.
7 Toe tsy nikanjy an-tika ho an-kaleorañe t’i Andrianañahare fa ho am-piavahañe.
For God did not call you unto impurity, but to sanctification.
8 Aa ze tsy mipaoke, le tsy t’ie mifary ondaty, fa an’ Andrianañahare nanolots’ anahareo i Arofo Masiñey.
He therefore who spurneth, spurneth not man but God, who hath given his Holy Spirit in you.
9 Aa ty amy fifampirañetañe longo, tsy ipaia’ areo sokireñe, ie hohoen’ Añahare hifampikoko;
Now concerning love to the brethren, ye need not that I should write to you; for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.
10 naho toe anoe’ areo amo hene longo e Makedoniao. Fe osihe’ay ry longo te hitolom-pitomambao,
Ye likewise do so, to all the brethren who are in all Macedonia: but I entreat you, my brethren, to be exuberant:
11 hinozoha’areo fañavelo am-pianjiñañe, songa manao ty tolon-draha’e naho mitoloñe am-pità’e amy nitoroa’aiy,
and that ye strive to be quiet, and to attend to your own affairs; and that ye labor with your own hands; as we directed you;
12 hañavelo an-kavantañañe amo alafe’eo naho tsy hipay inoñ’inoñe.
and that ye walk becomingly towards those without; and that ye be dependent on no man.
13 Aa tsy teako ho bahimo nahareo, ry longo, ty amo miròtseo, hera hihontoke manahake o ila’e tsy aman-ko tamàeñeo.
And, I wish you to know, my brethren, that ye should not mourn over them who have fallen asleep, like other people who have no hope.
14 Aa kanao atokisantika te nivilasy t’Iesoà vaho nitroatse, le izay ty hindesen’ Añahare mindre ama’e ze mirotse am’ Iesoà ao.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them who sleep, will God, by Jesus, bring with him.
15 Aa hoe ty fivola’ay ama’ areo ty amy tsara’ i Talèy, te tsy hiaolo o mirotseo tika mbe mañente ami’ty fitotsaha’ i Talè,
And this we say to you, by the word of our Lord, that we who may survive and be alive, at the coming of our Lord, shall not precede them who have slept.
16 fa i Talè vata’e ro hizotso hirik’ andindìñe ey an-koike, am-piarañanañan-talèn’ anjely, naho amy antsivan’ Añaharey; naho hitroatse hey ze nivetrake amy Norizañey ao,
Because our Lord will himself descend from heaven, with the mandate, and with the voice of the chief angel, and with the trump of God; and the dead who are in the Messiah, will first arise;
17 vaho ho rambeseñe mb’amo rahoñeo mb’eo tika mbe veloñe hifanampe am’iereo an-drahoñe ey, hifanalaka amy Talè amy tiokey. Le ho nainai’e amy Talè ao tikañe.
and then, we who survive and are alive shall be caught up together with them to the clouds, to meet our Lord in the air; and so shall we be ever with our Lord.
18 Aa le mifañohòa amy tsara zay.
Wherefore, comfort ye one another with these words.
