< 1 Samoela 3 >
1 Nitoroñe Iehovà ambane’ i Elý eo t’i Samoele ajaja. Tsy siake nampiboake tsara t’Iehovà henane zay; tsy nahaoniñañ’ aroñaroñe.
And the lad Samuel was ministering unto the Lord before 'Eli. And the word of the Lord was scarce in those days: prophecy was not extended.
2 Aa teo te indraike haleñe, naho nàndre añ’efe’e ao t’i Elý, ie niha-fè o fihaino’eo tsy nahaisake soa;
And it came to pass one day, when 'Eli was lying down in his place, and his eyes had begun to grow dim, he could not see;
3 mboe tsy nakipeke ty failo an-kivohon’ Añahare ao te niroro añ’anjomba’ Iehovà t’i Samoele amy toe’ i vatam-pañinan’ Añahareiy.
And the lamp of God had not yet gone out, while Samuel was lying down in [the hall of] the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was;
4 Aa le kinanji’ Iehovà t’i Samoele, Intoy iraho, hoe re.
That the Lord called Samuel: and he said, Here am I.
5 Nivotivoty mb’amy Elý mb’eo re nanao ty hoe: Intoy iraho, amy te kinanji’o. Tsy nitok’ azo iraho, hoe t’i Elý, Mandrea indraike. Aa le nibalike re, nàndre.
And he ran unto 'Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And he said, I did not call: lie down again. And he went and lay down.
6 Kinanji’ Iehovà indraike t’i Samoele; le nitroatse t’i Samoele, nimb’ amy Elý mb’eo nanao ty hoe: Intoy iraho, amy kanji’oy. Tsy tinokako irehe, anako, hoe re, Akia mandrea.
And the Lord continued to call again, Samuel. And Samuel arose and went to 'Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And he answered, I did not call, my son: lie down again.
7 Nialik’ amy Samoele t’Iehovà, amy te mboe tsy nabentatse ama’e ty tsara’ Iehovà.
And Samuel knew not yet the Lord, nor had the word of the Lord been as yet revealed unto him.
8 Kinanji’ Iehovà fañintelo’e t’i Samoele. Nitroatse t’i Samoele, nimb’amy Elý mb’eo, nanao ty hoe: Intoy iraho, fa kinanji’o. Nifohi’ i Elý amy zao te Iehovà ty nikanjy i ajalahiy.
And the Lord continued to call, Samuel, the third time; and he arose and went to 'Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And 'Eli then perceived that the Lord was calling the lad.
9 Akia, mandrea, hoe ty asa’ i Elý amy Samoele, Ie mikanjy azo, anò ty hoe: Mitsarà ry Iehovà, fa itsanoña’ ty mpitoro’o. Aa le nimb’eo t’i Samoele nàndre an-traño’e ao.
And 'Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down; and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, Lord; for thy servant heareth. And Samuel went and lay down in his place.
10 Nimb’eo amy zao t’Iehovà nijohañe eo, nikanjy amy hoe rezay: Samoele, Samoele! le hoe t’i Samoele, Mitsarà fa mitsanoñe o mpitoro’oo.
And the Lord came, and placed himself, and called as at previous times, Samuel, Samuel. And Samuel said, Speak; for thy servant heareth.
11 Le hoe t’Iehovà amy Samoele: Hampijadoñeko tsara e Israele ao hampiñiñiñiñe ty ravembia roe’ ze mahajanjiñe aze.
And the Lord said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle.
12 Amy andro zay, le hafetsako amy Elý naho amy hasavereña’e iabiy i vinolakoy sikal’am-baloha’e pak’am-para’e.
On that day will I fulfill on 'Eli all that I have spoken concerning his house: I will begin and finish.
13 Fa vinolako ama’e te hametsahako zaka i añanjomba’ey, amy te napota’e ty hakeon’ ana’e—ie namà-batañe—f’ie tsy nimane hampijihetse iareo.
And I tell him that I will judge his house for ever; for the iniquity that he knew that his sons were drawing a curse on themselves, and he restrained them not.
14 Izay ty nifantàko amy hasavereña’ i Elìy, t’ie: Ndra enga ino ndra soroñ’ ino tsy hahajebañe o tahiñe anoe’ ty hasavereña’ i Elio.
And therefore have I sworn unto the house of 'Eli, that the iniquity of 'Eli's house shall not be atoned for with sacrifice or meat-offering for ever.
15 Nàndre am-pandrea’e ao avao t’i Samoele am-para’ te maraiñe, vaho sinoka’e o lalam-bein’ anjomba’ Iehovào. F’ie nihemban-dre tsy te hitalily amy Elý i aroñaroñey.
And Samuel lay until the morning, when he opened the doors of the house of the Lord; and Samuel feared to tell the vision unto 'Eli.
16 Aa le kinanji’ i Elý t’i Samoele: O Samoele, anako! hoe re, Intoy iraho, hoe ty natoi’e.
But 'Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel, my son. And he said, Here am I.
17 Ino ty tsinara’e ama’o? hoe re. Ehe, ko añetaha’o amako. Ee te hanoen’ Añahare ama’o naho mandikoatse, naho akafi’o amako ndra inoñ’ inoñ’ amo tsinara’e ama’oo.
And he said, What is the word which he hath spoken unto thee? do not, I pray thee, conceal it from me: may God do to thee thus, and continue to do so, if thou conceal any thing from me of all the word that he hath spoken unto thee.
18 Aa le natalili’ i Samoele ama’e ze hene nitsaraeñe, tsy eo ty naeta’e; le hoe t’i Elý: Ie Iehovà! Ehe te hanoe’e ze soa am-pihaino’e.
And Samuel told him all the words, and concealed nothing from him. And he said, He is the Lord: let him do what seemeth good in his eyes.
19 Nitombo t’i Samoele, le tama’e t’Iehovà vaho leo raike amo tsara’eo tsy napo’e an-tane.
And Samuel grew up, and the Lord was with him, and he did not let fall any one of all his words to the ground.
20 Songa nifohi’ Israele boake Dane pake Be’er-sevà añe te mpitoky noriza’ Iehovà t’i Samoele.
And thus knew all Israel from Dan even to Beer-sheba' that Samuel was accredited as a prophet of the Lord.
21 Nitolom-piboake e Silò ao t’Iehovà le niatreke i Samoele e Silò t’Iehovà, ty amy tsara’ Iehovày.
And the Lord continued to appear in Shiloh; for the Lord revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the Lord.
