< 1 Samoela 23 >
1 Natalily amy Davide ty hoe: Inao te maname i Keilà o nte-Pilistio, vaho tavane’ iareo o toe-pifofohañeo.
Then they told David, saying, Behold, the Philistines fight against Keilah, and they rob the threshingfloors.
2 Aa le nañontane am’ Iehovà t’i Davide, ami’ ty hoe: Homb’eo hao iraho, handafa o nte-Pilistio? Aa hoe t’Iehovà amy Davide, Akia lafao o nte-Pilistio vaho rombaho t’i Keilà.
Therefore David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go and smite these Philistines? And the LORD said to David, Go, and smite the Philistines, and save Keilah.
3 Fe hoe o mpiamy Davideo ama’e, Toe mahahembañ’ anay ty e Iehodà atoa, antsake t’ie mb’e Keilà naho mb’ amo lahindefon-te-Pilistio.
And David’s men said to him, Behold, we are afraid here in Judah: how much more then if we come to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines?
4 Aa le nañontane Iehovà indraike t’i Davide, le hoe t’Iehovà ama’e, Miongaha, mizotsoa mb’e Keilà mb’eo vaho hatoloko am-pità’o o nte-Pilistio.
Then David enquired of the LORD yet again. And the LORD answered him and said, Arise, go down to Keilah; for I will deliver the Philistines into thy hand.
5 Aa le nimb’e Keilà mb’eo t’i Davide rekets’ o mpiama’eo, naho nialy amo nte-Pilistio vaho tinava’ iareo o añombe’ iareo iabio; linafa am-pizamanañe jabajaba. Toe rinomba’ i Davide o mpimone’ i Keilào.
So David and his men went to Keilah, and fought with the Philistines, and brought away their cattle, and smote them with a great slaughter. So David saved the inhabitants of Keilah.
6 Ie nipoliotse mb’ amy Davide mb’e Keilà mb’eo t’i Abiatare ana’ i Akimeleke, le nizotso reketse kitambe am-pità’e.
And it came to pass, when Abiathar the son of Ahimelech fled to David to Keilah, that he came down with an ephod in his hand.
7 Natalily amy Saole te nimb’e Keilà t’i Davide, le hoe t’i Saole: Fa natolon’ Añahare an-tañako; ie migabeñe an-drova aman-dalam-bey naho sikadañe ao.
And it was told to Saul that David had come to Keilah. And Saul said, God hath delivered him into my hand; for he is shut in, by entering into a town that hath gates and bars.
8 Songa natonto’ i Saole hihotakotake ondatio, hizotso mb’e Keilà mb’eo hiarikatoke i Davide naho ondati’eo.
And Saul called all the people together to war, to go down to Keilah, to besiege David and his men.
9 Napota’ i Davide te nikinia raty aze t’i Saole le hoe re amy Abiatare mpisoroñe: Endeso atoy i kitambey.
And David knew that Saul secretly devised mischief against him; and he said to Abiathar the priest, Bring here the ephod.
10 Le hoe t’i Davide: Ry Iehovà Andrianañahare’ Israele, Toe jinanji’ i mpitoro’oy te mipay ho mb’e Keilà mb’atoa t’i Saole, handrotsake ty rova toy ty amako.
Then said David, O LORD God of Israel, thy servant hath certainly heard that Saul seeketh to come to Keilah, to destroy the city for my sake.
11 Hatolo’ ondati’ i Keilào am-pità’e hao iraho? Hizotso mb’etoa hao t’i Saole ty amy tsinanokoy? Ry Iehovà Andrianañahare’ Israele, miambane ama’o, atalilio amo mpitoro’oo. Le hoe t’Iehovà: Hizotso re.
Will the men of Keilah deliver me up into his hand? will Saul come down, as thy servant hath heard? O LORD God of Israel, I beseech thee, tell thy servant. And the LORD said, He will come down.
12 Le hoe t’i Davide: Hatolo’ ondati’ i Keilào am-pità’ i Saole hao iraho? Le hoe t’Iehovà, Hatolo’ iareo.
Then said David, Will the men of Keilah deliver me and my men into the hand of Saul? And the LORD said, They will deliver thee up.
13 Aa le nibioñe mb’ amy ze nimete añe t’i Davide naho ondati’eo, ie ni-enen-jato varàñe. Natalily amy Saole te nienga i Keilà t’i Davide, le nado’e ty lia’e mb’eo.
Then David and his men, who were about six hundred, arose and departed from Keilah, and went wherever they could go. And it was told Saul that David had escaped from Keilah; and he did not go there.
14 Nimoneñe am-patrambey añe am-pipalirañe ao t’i Davide, le nitambatse am-bohibohim-patrambei’ i Zife añe. Nitsoek’ aze boak’ andro boak’ andro t’i Saole f’ie tsy natolon’ Añahare am-pità’e.
And David abode in the wilderness in strong holds, and remained in a mountain in the wilderness of Ziph. And Saul sought him every day, but God delivered him not into his hand.
15 Nioni’ i Davide te niavotse mb’eo hipay ty fiai’e t’i Saole; ie am-patrambei’ i Zife amy alay t’i Davide.
And David saw that Saul had come out to seek his life: and David was in the wilderness of Ziph in a wood.
16 Niavotse amy zao t’Ionatane ana’ i Saole vaho nimb’ amy Davide amy alay ao; le nampahaozare’e ty fità’e aman’ Añahare;
And Jonathan Saul’s son arose, and went to David into the wood, and strengthened his hand in God.
17 ie nisaontsie’e ty hoe: Ko hemban-drehe; fa tsy ho oni-pità’ i Saole raeko; le ihe ty ho mpifehe Israele vaho ho mpiama’o iraho; toe fohi’ i Saole raeko.
And he said to him, Fear not: for the hand of Saul my father shall not find thee; and thou shalt be king over Israel, and I shall be next to thee; and that also Saul my father knoweth.
18 Aa le nifañina añatrefa’ Iehovà eo iereo roe; nimoneñe añ’ ala ao t’i Davide, vaho nimpoly mb’ an-kiboho’e añe t’Ionatane.
And they two made a covenant before the LORD: and David abode in the wood, and Jonathan went to his house.
19 Niheo mb’amy Saole e Gibà mb’eo o nte-Zifeo nanao ty hoe: Tsy mietak’ ama’ay, amo fipalirañe amy alaio hao t’i Davide? an-kaboa’ i Kakilà atimo’ Iesimone ao?
Then came up the Ziphites to Saul to Gibeah, saying, Doth not David hide himself with us in strong holds in the wood, in the hill of Hachilah, which is on the south of Jeshimon?
20 Aa le mizotsoa mb’eo ry mpanjaka, mizotsoa an-kapean-tsatrin’ arofo’o, le hatolo’ay am-pità’ i mpanjakay.
Now therefore, O king, come down according to all the desire of thy soul to come down; and our part shall be to deliver him into the king’s hand.
21 Le hoe t’i Saole; Ho tahie’ Iehovà, ami’ty fitretreza’ areo ahy.
And Saul said, Blessed be ye of the LORD; for ye have compassion on me.
22 Akia arè, venteo le arendreho indraike, vaho oniño i toem-pipalira’ey; fa inao, toe mpamañahy re.
Go, I pray you, prepare yet, and know and see his place where his haunt is, and who hath seen him there: for it is told to me that he dealeth very subtilly.
23 Aa le arendreho naho fohìno o toem-pipalira’eo, le mibaliha mb’amako mb’etoa reketse i niventeñey vaho hindrezako; ie amy zay, kanao an-tane ao re, le ho kodebèko amo arivo’ Iehodao.
See therefore, and take knowledge of all the lurking places where he hideth himself, and come ye again to me with the certainty, and I will go with you: and it shall come to pass, if he is in the land, that I will search him out throughout all the thousands of Judah.
24 Aa le niavotse iereo niaolo i Saole mb’e Zife mb’eo; fe tan-dratraratra’ i Maone añe t’i Davide naho ondati’eo, añ’Arabà atimo’ Iesimone ao.
And they arose, and went to Ziph before Saul: but David and his men were in the wilderness of Maon, in the plain on the south of Jeshimon.
25 Nimb’eo t’i Saole rekets’ o mpiama’eo hitsoek’ aze. Nitalilieñe t’i Davide; aa le nizotso mb’an-damilamy mb’eo re niambesatse an-dratraratra’ i Maone ao. Ie jinanji’ i Saole izay le nihoridàñe’e t’i Davide an-dratraratra’ i Maone añe.
Saul also and his men went to seek him. And they told David: therefore he came down into a rock, and abode in the wilderness of Maon. And when Saul heard that, he pursued after David in the wilderness of Maon.
26 Añ’ ila’ i vohitsey atoy t’i Saole le añ’ ila’e aroa t’i Davide naho o mpiama’eo; nalisa nienga ty fiatrefa’ i Saole t’i Davide, fa hiarikoboñe i Davide naho ondati’eo t’i Saole naho ondati’eo hitsepak’ aze.
And Saul went on this side of the mountain, and David and his men on that side of the mountain: and David made haste to get away for fear of Saul; for Saul and his men surrounded David and his men on all sides to take them.
27 Fe nivotrak’ amy Saole ty mpihitrike, nanao ty hoe: Masikà, mihavia, fa mitavañe ty tanen-tika o nte-Pilistio.
But there came a messenger to Saul, saying, Haste thee, and come; for the Philistines have invaded the land.
28 Aa le nimpoly t’i Saole tsy nañoridañe i Davide fa nionjomb’ amo nte-Pilistio mb’eo; aa le natao Sela-Kamalekote i toetsey.
Therefore Saul returned from pursuing after David, and went against the Philistines: therefore they called that place Selahammahlekoth.
29 Nionjoñe boak’ ao t’i Davide vaho nimoneñe an-kijoli’ i En-gedy ao.
Then David went up from there, and dwelt in strong holds at Engedi.
