< 1 Samoela 19 >

1 Le nisaontsy am’ Ionatane ana’e naho amo mpitoro’e iabio t’i Saole, hañohofa’ iareo loza amy Davide; fe mpirañetse amy Davide t’Ionatane ana’ i Saole.
And Saul speaketh unto Jonathan his son, and unto all his servants, to put David to death,
2 Le natalili’ Ionatane amy Davide ty hoe: Mipay hamono azo ty raeko; aa ehe mitaoa te maraindray le mipalira añetake,
and Jonathan son of Saul delighted exceedingly in David, and Jonathan declareth to David, saying, 'Saul my father is seeking to put thee to death, and, now, take heed, I pray thee, in the morning, and thou hast abode in a secret place, and been hidden,
3 fa hiakatse iraho hijohañe marine an-draeko an-kivoke ietaha’o, hitalily azo aman-draeko; le hataliliko azo ze treako.
and I — I go out, and have stood by the side of my father in the field where thou [art], and I speak of thee unto my father, and have seen what [is coming], and have declared to thee.'
4 Nisaontsy soa i Davide amy Saole rae’e t’Ionatane, ami’ty hoe: Ehe te tsy hanan-tahiñe amy Davide mpitoro’ey, i mpanjakay; amy t’ie tsy nandilatse ama’o, naho nisoa iaby ty fitoloña’e ama’o;
And Jonathan speaketh good of David unto Saul his father, and saith unto him, 'Let not the king sin against his servant, against David, because he hath not sinned against thee, and because his works for thee [are] very good;
5 naho nado’e an-taña’e ao ty fiai’e t’ie nandafa i nte-Pilistiy, ie ninday fandreketam-bey ho a Israele t’Iehovà; nioni’o izay, vaho nirebeke; aa le manao akore t’ihe hanan-kakeo an-dio-maliñe, hamonoa’o tsy aman-tali’e t’i Davide?
yea, he putteth his life in his hand, and smiteth the Philistine, and Jehovah worketh a great salvation for all Israel; thou hast seen, and dost rejoice, and why dost thou sin against innocent blood, to put David to death for nought?'
6 Hinao’ i Saole ty fiarañanaña’ Ionatane; le nifanta ami’ty hoe: Kanao veloñe t’Iehovà tsy havetrake re.
And Saul hearkeneth to the voice of Jonathan, and Saul sweareth, 'Jehovah liveth — he doth not die.'
7 Kinoi’ Ionatane amy zao t’i Davide le nitalilia’e; vaho nendese’ Ionatane añatrefa’ i Saole eo manahake te taolo.
And Jonathan calleth for David, and Jonathan declareth to him all these words, and Jonathan bringeth in David unto Saul, and he is before him as heretofore.
8 Nirehetse indraike ty aly; le niavotse mb’eo t’i Davide, nialy amo nte-Pilistio vaho ra’elahy i fizamanañey, kanao nandripàke aolo’eo.
And there addeth to be war, and David goeth out and fighteth against the Philistines, and smiteth among them — a great smiting, and they flee from his face.
9 Nivotrak’ amy Saole amy zao ty fañahy raty boak’ amy Iehovà, ie niambesatse añ’ anjomba’e ao reketse lefoñe am-pità’e, naho nititik’ am-pità’e t’i Davide.
And a spirit of sadness [from] Jehovah is unto Saul, and he is sitting in his house, and his javelin in his hand, and David is playing with the hand,
10 Le nimanea’ i Saole tombo-defoñe t’i Davide hipiteha’e amy rindriñey, f’ie nipoliotse am-piatrefa’e le tinombo’ i lefoñey i rindriñey naho nibotiotse t’i Davide, nienga amy haleñey.
and Saul seeketh to smite with the javelin through David, and through the wall, and he freeth himself from the presence of Saul, and he smiteth the javelin through the wall; and David hath fled and escapeth during that night.
11 Namantoke ìrake homb’ an-traño’ i Davide ao t’i Saole, hamono aze naho maraindray; fa nitalilia’ i Mikale vali’ i Davide ty hoe: Naho tsy mandrombak’ ain-drehe te anito haleñe le havetrake te maray.
And Saul sendeth messengers unto the house of David to watch him, and to put him to death in the morning; and Michal his wife declareth to David, saying, 'If thou art not delivering thy life to-night — tomorrow thou art put to death.'
12 Aa le nazotso’ i Mikale ami’ty lalan-kede t’i Davide vaho nienga, le niherereak’ añe.
And Michal causeth David to go down through the window, and he goeth on, and fleeth, and escapeth;
13 Rinambe’i Mikale ty terafime naho nampandre’e am-pandreañe eo, le napo’e an-doha’e eo ty fikalam-bolon-ose vaho kinolopo’e lamba.
and Michal taketh the teraphim, and layeth on the bed, and the mattress of goats' [hair] she hath put [for] his pillows, and covereth with a garment.
14 Aa ie nañitrifa’ i Saole t’i Davide, le hoe t’i Mikale, Siloke re.
And Saul sendeth messengers to take David, and she saith, 'He [is] sick.'
15 Le nañitrike indraike t’i Saole handrèndreke i Davide, ami’ty hoe: Aseseo amako am-pandrea’e hamonoako aze.
And Saul sendeth the messengers to see David, saying, 'Bring him up in the bed unto me,' — to put him to death.
16 Ie nimoak’ ao i mpihitrike rey, hehe te saren-draha ty am-pandreañe ao vaho fikalam-bolon-ose ty natao loha’e.
And the messengers come in, and lo, the teraphim [are] on the bed, and the mattress of goats' [hair], [for] his pillows.
17 Le hoe t’i Saole amy Mikale, Ino ty namañahia’o ahy, te nasinta’o i rafelahikoy, ie nimonazake mb’eo? Le hoe ty natoi’ i Mikale amy Saole, Hoe re tamako, Apoho hiavotse iraho, tsy mone havetrako.
And Saul saith unto Michal, 'Why thus hast thou deceived me — that thou dost send away mine enemy, and he is escaped?' and Michal saith unto Saul, 'He said unto me, Send me away: why do I put thee to death?'
18 Aa le nioratse ty lay t’i Davide naho nivotrak’ amy Samoele e Ramà añe; le hene natalili’e ama’e ty nanoa’ i Saole aze. Nañavelo mb’e Naiote re mindre amy Samoele vaho nimoneñe ao.
And David hath fled, and is escaped, and cometh in unto Samuel to Ramath, and declareth to him all that Saul hath done to him, and he goeth, he and Samuel, and they dwell in Naioth.
19 Natalily amy Saole ty hoe: Inao! e Naiote e Ramà ao t’i Davide.
And it is declared to Saul, saying, 'Lo, David [is] in Naioth in Ramah.'
20 Nañitrike mb’ amy Davide mb’eo t’i Saole; aa ie tendrek’ am’ iereo o mpitoky nitokio, naho nijohañe ho mpiaolo’ iareo t’i Samoele le nivotrak’ amo ira’ i Saoleo ty Arofon’ Añahare vaho nitoky ka.
And Saul sendeth messengers to take David, and they see the assembly of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing, set over them, and the Spirit of God is on Saul's messengers, and they prophesy — they also.
21 Ie natalily amy Saole, le nañirake ty ila’e fe mbe nitoky avao. Nañitrike fañintelo’e vaho nitoky ka.
And they declare [it] to Saul, and he sendeth other messengers, and they prophesy — they also; and Saul addeth and sendeth messengers a third time, and they prophesy — they also.
22 Aa le nañavelo mb’e Ramà ka re naho nipok’ an-kadaha jabajaba’ i Sekò eo; vaho nañontane ami’ty hoe: Aia t’i Samoele naho i Davide? Le hoe ty raike: Inao, e Naiote e Ramà añe.
And he goeth — he also — to Ramath, and cometh in unto the great well which [is] in Sechu, and asketh, and saith, 'Where [are] Samuel and David?' and [one] saith, 'Lo, in Naioth in Ramah.'
23 Aa le nimb’e Naiote e Ramà re le nivotrak’ ama’e amy lia’ey ka i Arofon’ Añaharey vaho nitolom-pitoky am-para’ te pok’e Naiote e Ramà ao.
And he goeth thither — unto Naioth in Ramah, and the Spirit of God is upon him — him also; and he goeth, going on, and he prophesieth till his coming in to Naioth in Ramah,
24 Hinalo’e iaby o saro’eo vaho nitoky añatrefa’ i Samoele, le nàndre niboridañe ey avao re amy àndroy naho amy haleñey. Aa le hoe ty sinaontsy: Mpiamo mpitokio ka hao t’i Saole?
and he strippeth off — he also — his garments, and prophesieth — he also — before Samuel, and falleth down naked all that day and all the night; therefore they say, 'Is Saul also among the prophets?'
