< 1 Mpanjaka 9 >
1 Aa ie nifonire’ i Selomò ty fandranjiañe i anjomba’ Iehovày, naho ty anjomba’ i mpanjakay, naho ze fitoloñañe nahafale-troke i Selomò,
When Solomon had finished the building of the LORD’s house, the king’s house, and all Solomon’s desire which he was pleased to do,
2 le niheo amy Selomò fañindroe’e t’Iehovà manahake ty niboaha’e e Gibone añe.
The LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared to him at Gibeon.
3 Le hoe t’Iehovà ama’e: Fa tsinanoko i halali’oy naho i sabo nanoe’o amakoy: Fa navaheko ty anjomba namboare’o toy, ie nampijoñeko tsy mbia tsy ho ama’e i añarakoy; vaho ho ama’e nainai’e donia o masokoo naho ty troko.
The LORD said to him, “I have heard your prayer and your supplication that you have made before me. I have made this house holy, which you have built, to put my name there forever; and my eyes and my heart shall be there perpetually.
4 Aa naho ihe ro hañavelo aoloko manahake ty nañaveloa’ i Davide rae’o, an-kavantañan’ arofo, naho an-kavañonañe, manao ze hene nandiliako azo naho mañambeñe o fañèkoo naho o fepèkoo;
As for you, if you will walk before me as David your father walked, in integrity of heart and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you, and will keep my statutes and my ordinances,
5 le horizako ho nainai’e ty fiambesam-pifehea’o Israele, amy nampitamako i Davide rae’oy, ami’ty hoe: Tsy ho po-ondaty am-piambesa’ Israele eo irehe.
then I will establish the throne of your kingdom over Israel forever, as I promised to David your father, saying, ‘There shall not fail from you a man on the throne of Israel.’
6 Fe ke iambohoa’ areo ty fañorihañ’ Ahy, inahareo ndra o ana’ areoo ie tsy mitañe o lilikoo naho o fañèko apoko añatrefa’ areoo, te mone mandifike hitoroñe ‘ndrahare ila’e vaho hitalaho ama’e;
But if you turn away from following me, you or your children, and not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods and worship them,
7 le haitoako amy tane natoloko iareoy t’Israele; naho hahifiko tsy ho am-pahaisahako ty anjomba navaheko ho ami’ty añarako toy; le ho razan-drehake t’Israele, fandrabioña’ o kilakila’ ondatio;
then I will cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and I will cast this house, which I have made holy for my name, out of my sight; and Israel will be a proverb and a byword amongst all peoples.
8 le akore amy zay ty anjomba miligiligy toy, kanao hilatsà naho hikosiha’ ze hene ondaty miary ama’e, hanao ty hoe: Ino ty nanoe’ Iehovà ami’ty tane toy naho ami’ty anjomba toy?
Though this house is so high, yet everyone who passes by it will be astonished and hiss; and they will say, ‘Why has the LORD done this to this land and to this house?’
9 Le ho toiñeñe ty hoe: amy te nitsambolitio’ iereo t’Iehovà Andrianañahare’ iareo, i nampiavotse o roae’ iareoo an-tane’ Mitsraimey ie nandrambe ‘ndrahare ila’e naho nitalahoa’e vaho nitoroña’e; izay ty nametsaha’ Iehovà am’ iereo o fonga hankàñe zao.
and they will answer, ‘Because they abandoned the LORD their God, who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and embraced other gods, and worshipped them, and served them. Therefore the LORD has brought all this evil on them.’”
10 Aa ie niritse ty roapolo taoñe namboare’ i Selomò i anjomba roe rey, ty anjomba’ Iehovà naho ty anjomba’ i mpanjakay
At the end of twenty years, in which Solomon had built the two houses, the LORD’s house and the king’s house
11 (ie natolo’ i Kirame mpanjaka’ i Tsore amy Selomò ze hene mendoraveñe naho kobaiñe naho ze volamena nipaia’e) le natolo’ i Selomò amy Kirame ty rova roa-polo an-tane Galìle ao.
(now Hiram the king of Tyre had furnished Solomon with cedar trees and cypress trees, and with gold, according to all his desire), King Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.
12 Niavotse amy Tsore t’i Kirame hañisake o rova natolo’ i Selomò azeo; fe tsy ni-nò’e.
Hiram came out of Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him; and they didn’t please him.
13 Le hoe re: Rova ino ze o natolo’o ahiko zao, rahalahiko? Le natao: Tane’ i Kabole izay pake henaneo.
He said, “What cities are these which you have given me, my brother?” He called them the land of Cabul to this day.
14 Volamena zato-tsi-roa-polo ty nampihitrife’ i Kirame amy mpanjakay.
Hiram sent to the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold.
15 Zao ty volilim-pitoloña’ i haba nakare’ i Selomò mpanjakaiy: namboare’e ty anjomba’ Iehovà naho ty anjomba’e, naho i Milo, naho ty kijoli’ Ierosalaime, naho i Katsore naho i Megidòne vaho i Getsere
This is the reason of the forced labour which King Solomon conscripted: to build the LORD’s house, his own house, Millo, Jerusalem’s wall, Hazor, Megiddo, and Gezer.
16 ie fa nionjo-mb’eo t’i Parò mpanjaka’ i Mitsraime, nitavañe i Getsere; finorototo’e añ’ afo naho fonga zinama’e o nte-Kaanane nimoneñe amy rovaio vaho natolo’e ho enta’ i anak’ ampela’e, vali’ i Selomòy.
Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up, taken Gezer, burnt it with fire, killed the Canaanites who lived in the city, and given it for a wedding gift to his daughter, Solomon’s wife.
17 Aa le namboare’ i Selomò ty Getsere naho i Bete-korone ambane
Solomon built in the land Gezer, Beth Horon the lower,
18 naho i Baalate naho i Tadmore an-dratraratra’ i taney;
Baalath, Tamar in the wilderness,
19 naho ze hene rovam-pihaja’ i Selomò naho o rovan-tsarete’eo naho o rovam-piningi-tsoavala’eo, naho ze nitea’ i Selomò ranjieñe e Ierosalaime naho e Lebanone ao naho an-tanem-pifehea’e iaby.
all the storage cities that Solomon had, the cities for his chariots, the cities for his horsemen, and that which Solomon desired to build for his pleasure in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.
20 Le o fonga ondaty nisehanga’ o nte-Amoreo, o nte-Keteo, o nte-Perizeo, o nte-Hiveo vaho o nte-Ieboseo; o tsy ana’ Israeleo,
As for all the people who were left of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of the children of Israel—
21 o tiri’ iareo nihonkahonka’e amy taneio, o tsy zinama’ o ana’ Israeleoo; ie ty nangala’ i Selomò mpitoroñe amy vili-lohay pake henane.
their children who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel were not able utterly to destroy—of them Solomon raised a levy of bondservants to this day.
22 Tsy nangala’ i Selomò habam-pitoroñañe amo ana’ Israeleo fa nanoeñe lahindefo’e, mpitoro’e, roandria’e, mpifehe’e, mpifele-tsarete’e vaho mpiningi-tsoavala’e.
But of the children of Israel Solomon made no bondservants; but they were the men of war, his servants, his princes, his captains, and rulers of his chariots and of his horsemen.
23 Ie o mpiaolo nifehe’ ty fitoloña’ i Selomòo; liman-jato-tsi-limampolo ty nifeleke ondaty nitoloñe amy asaio.
These were the five hundred and fifty chief officers who were over Solomon’s work, who ruled over the people who laboured in the work.
24 Fe niavotse ty rova’ i Davide ty anak’ ampela’ i Parò mb’ amy anjomba namboara’ i Selomò azey; izay vaho namboare’e ty Milò.
But Pharaoh’s daughter came up out of David’s city to her house which Solomon had built for her. Then he built Millo.
25 Intelo ami’ty taoñe ty nañengà’ i Selomò soroñe naho engam-panintsiñañe amy kitrely niranjie’e ho a Iehovày vaho nañembok’ añ’atrefa’ Iehovà. Aa le nifonire’e i anjombay.
Solomon offered burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar which he built to the LORD three times per year, burning incense with them on the altar that was before the LORD. So he finished the house.
26 Le namboare’e firimboñan-tsambo e Etsione-gebere añ’ila’ i Elote añ’ olo’ i riake Menay, an-tane Edome añe.
King Solomon made a fleet of ships in Ezion Geber, which is beside Eloth, on the shore of the Red Sea, in the land of Edom.
27 Nampihitrife’ i Kirame mb’amo sambo’eo o mpitoro’e mpian-dàkañe zatse riakeo, hitraok’ amo mpitoro’ i Selomòo.
Hiram sent in the fleet his servants, sailors who had knowledge of the sea, with the servants of Solomon.
28 Le nionjoñe mb’e Ofire añe iereo nangalake volamena talenta efajato-tsi-roapolo ze nandesa’ i areo amy Selomò.
They came to Ophir, and fetched from there gold, four hundred and twenty talents, and brought it to King Solomon.
