< 1 Korintiana 10 >
1 Tsy teako hamoea’ areo, ry longo, ie songa tambane’ i rahoñey naho sindre niranga i riakey o roaen-tikañeo,
For I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea,
2 naho fonga nalipotse amy Mosè ao amy rahoñey naho amy riakey,
and were all baptized to Moses in the cloud and in the sea,
3 songa nikama i hanen’ arofoy,
and all ate the same spiritual food,
4 sindre ninoñe amy ranon’ arofoy; ninoma’ iareo i vaton’ arofo nañorikey. Toe i Norizañey i vatoy.
and all drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank of the spiritual rock that accompanied them; and the rock was Christ;
5 Fe tsy ninòn’ Añahare ty hamaroa’e, vaho binaibai’e an-dratraratra añe.
but with most of them God was not well pleased; for they were laid low in the wilderness.
6 Ie fandrazañañe amantika, te tsy hañiry hatsivokarañe manahake o hadrao’ iareoo.
Now these things were warnings for us, in order that we should not lust after evil things, as they lusted.
7 Le tsy hiato am-pahasive manahake ty ila’e. Hoe ty pinatetse: Niambesatse ondatio nikama naho ninoñe, vaho niongake hihisa.
And do not ye become idolaters, as some of them did; as it is written: “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to sport.”
8 Asoao tika tsy hañarapilo manahake ty nanoe’ ty ila’ iereo vaho ro’ale-tsi-telo-arivo ty nizamañe ami’ty andro raike.
Nor let us commit fornication, as some of them did, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
9 Asoao ka tika tsy hitsoke i Talè, manahake ty nitsoha’ iareo vaho nampihomaha’ o mereñeo.
Nor let us tempt Christ, as some of them tempted, and were destroyed by the serpents.
10 Le ko miñeoñeoñe manahake ty nanoe’ ty ila’e vaho rinotsa’ i mpandrotsakey.
And do not ye murmur, as some of them murmured, and perished by the Destroyer.
11 Toe nanoeñe ho fandrazañañe i nifetsake am’iereo rezay vaho sinokitse hañòke antika nitsatoha’ o sa honka’e zao. (aiōn )
Now these things happened to them as warnings, and were recorded for our admonition, to whom the ends of the ages have come. (aiōn )
12 Aa le mitaoà ry manao te mijohañe, tsy mone hikorovoke.
Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth, take heed lest he fall.
13 Tsy nifetsaham-panjiziañe ila’ ze mahazatse ondatio nahareo; migahiñe t’i Andrianañahare, tsy hapò’e ho zizieñe mandikoatse ze lefe, fa mindre amy fanjiziañey ro hitolora’e ty hihaha’ areo, hahafifeake.
No temptation hath come upon you, but such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted beyond what ye are able to endure, but will with the temptation furnish also the way to escape, that ye may be able to endure it.
14 Ie amy zay ry longo, ibolitiro ty fahasive.
Wherefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.
15 Milañoñe hoe am’ ondaty mahihitse iraho: niniho o entako zao.
I speak as to wise men, judge ye what I say.
16 Tsy fitraofañe amy lio’ i Norizañeiy hao i fitovim-pañandriañañe andriañen-tikañey? tsy fitraofañe amy fañòva’ i Norizañeiy hao i mofo folahen-tikañey?
The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a partaking of the blood of Christ? the loaf which we break, is it not a partaking of the body of Christ?
17 Amy te itika maro ro vonga-mofo raike, naho fañòva raike, fa songa ifahana’ i vonga raikey.
For we, the many, are one loaf, one body; for we all share in that one loaf.
18 Oniño t’Israele ty amo nofotseo: tsy mpitraoke amy kitreliy hao o mikama o nisoroñañeo?
Look at Israel by natural descent. Have not those who eat of the sacrifices, communion with the altar?
19 Ino ty teako ho volañeñe: Amam-bente’e hao o fahasiveo, manjofake hao o raha soroñeñe amo samposampon-drahao?
What do I say then? That what is offered in sacrifice to idols is anything? Or that an idol is anything?
20 Inao o entakoo: ty fisoroña’ o kilakila’ ondatio ro isoroñañe aman-kokolampa fa tsy aman’ Añahare, vaho tsy teako t’ie hitraok’ amo kokolampao.
Nay, but that what they sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God; and I would not that ye should have communion with demons.
21 Tsy aharo finomañe ty fitovi’ i Talè naho ty korobon-kokolampa; tsy atraoke amy fandambaña’ i Talèy ty tihin-kokolampa.
Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of demons; ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and the table of demons.
22 Mampamarahy i Talè hao tika? Maozatse te ama’e hao tika?
Shall we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?
23 Sindre azo anoeñe, fa tsy songa mahasoa; sambe mete, fe tsy hene mampitombo.
All things are lawful, but all things are not profitable; all things are lawful, but all things are not edifying.
24 Asoao tsy ho eo ty hipay hampiraorao ty vata’e, fa ty ila’e.
Let no one seek his own pleasure, but the good of others.
25 Kamao ze aletake an-tsena ao fa ko añontaneañe, hampimarimarihañe ty arofo.
Whatever is sold in the market that eat, without asking questions for the sake of conscience;
26 A i Talè ty tane toy naho ze halifora’e.
for “the earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof.”
27 Ihe ambara’ ty tsi-miato, naho no’o ty homb’ ama’e ao, le ikamo ze azotso’e, fe ty amo hamarimarihañeo, ko mañontane.
And if one who is an unbeliever inviteth you to a feast, and ye choose to go, eat whatever is set before you, without asking any questions for the sake of conscience.
28 Aa naho eo ty manao ama’o ty hoe: Nisoroñañe am-pahasive ‘n-itoy, le ko ikama’o kanao nisaontsia’e, naho ty amy fitsakoreañey.
But if any one say to you, This hath been offered in sacrifice to an idol, do not eat of it, on account of him that showed you this, and from a regard to conscience;
29 Fitsakoreañe, hoe iraho, tsy ty azo fa i azey. Fa ino ty izaka’ ty ereñeren-tro’ ondatio ty fidadàko?
conscience I mean, not thine own, but that of the other. For why is my liberty to be judged by another conscience [[than my own]]?
30 Aa naho ikamako am-pañandriañañe le ino ty ifosàñ’ ahy amy nañandriañakoy?
If I partake with thankfulness, why am I to be evil spoken of in a matter for which I give thanks?
31 Aa ke mikama he minoñe, hera inoñ’ inoñe ty anoe’ areo, hene anò handrengeañe an’ Andrianañahare.
Whether therefore ye eat or drink, or whatever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
32 Ko mampitorifike o Jiosio ndra o Grikao, ndra i Fivorin’ Añaharey,
Give no occasion of stumbling either to Jews or Greeks, or to the church of God;
33 hambañe ami’ty ampifaleko ze fonga ondaty amy ze raha iaby, ty tsy ipaiako tombo’e ho ahy, fa ho a i màroy, soa t’ie ho rombaheñe.
as I also strive to please all in all things, not seeking my own advantage, but that of the many; that they may be saved.
