< 1 Tantara 23 >
1 Nigain-kantetse t’i Davide naho nilifots’andro; vaho nanoe’e mpanjaka’ Israele t’i Selomò ana-dahi’e.
When David was old and full of years, he installed his son Solomon as king over Israel.
2 Le natonto’e iaby o roandria’ Israeleo naho o mpisoroñeo vaho o nte-Levio.
Then he gathered all the leaders of Israel, as well as the priests and Levites.
3 Niaheñe amo añambone’eo ki-ondaty-ondaty, o nte-Levy telopolo taoñe mañamboneo, le ni-telo-ale-tsi-valo-arivo.
The Levites thirty years of age or older were counted, and the total number of men was 38,000.
4 Ro’ale-tsi-efats’ arivo am’ iereo ty hisary ty fitoloñañe amy anjomba’ Iehovày; le eneñ’ arivo ty ho mpifeleke naho mpizaka;
“Of these,” said David, “24,000 are to oversee the work of the house of the LORD, 6,000 are to be officers and judges,
5 le efats’arivo ty hañamben-dalambey; vaho efats’ arivo ty hisabo am’ Iehovà amo fititihañe niranjieko ho fijejoañeo.
4,000 are to be gatekeepers, and 4,000 are to praise the LORD with the instruments I have made for giving praise.”
6 Zinara’ i Davide am-pirimboñañe o ana’ i Levio: i Gersone, i Kehàte vaho i Merarý.
Then David divided the Levites into divisions according to the sons of Levi: Gershom, Kohath, and Merari.
7 Amo nte-Gersoneo: i Ladane naho i Simeý.
The Gershonites: Ladan and Shimei.
8 O ana’ i Ladaneo: Iekiele ty nimpiaolo naho i Zetame vaho Ioele, telo.
The sons of Ladan: Jehiel the first, Zetham, and Joel—three in all.
9 O ana’ i Simeio; i Selomite naho i Kaziele vaho i Harane, telo. Iereo ty nimpiaolo añ’ anjomba’ i Ladane rae’e.
The sons of Shimei: Shelomoth, Haziel, and Haran—three in all. These were the heads of the families of Ladan.
10 O ana’ i Simeìo: Iakate, i Zinà naho Iehose vaho i Beria. I efatse rey ro ana’ i Simeý.
And the sons of Shimei: Jahath, Zina, Jeush, and Beriah. These were the sons of Shimei—four in all.
11 Talè t’Iakate, faha-roe t’i Zizà; le tsy nimaro anake t’Iehose naho i Berià vaho nivolilieñe ho raike iereo ty aman’ anjomban-droae.
Jahath was the first and Zizah was the second; but Jeush and Beriah did not have many sons, so they were counted as one family and received a single assignment.
12 O ana’ i Kehàteo: I Amrame, Iitshare, i Kebrone vaho i Oziele, efatse.
The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel—four in all.
13 O ana’ i Amrameo: i Aharone naho i Mosè; navike t’i Aharone, nambahañe hiavake do’e, ie naho o ana-dahi’e nainai’e doniao, hañembok’ añatrefa’ Iehovà naho hitoroñe aze vaho hibango i tahina’ey nainai’e.
The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses. Aaron and his descendants were set apart forever to consecrate the most holy things, to burn incense before the LORD, to minister before Him, and to pronounce blessings in His name forever.
14 Niaheñe am-pifokoa’ i Levy ao o ana’ i Mosè, ondatin’ Añahareo.
As for Moses the man of God, his sons were named among the tribe of Levi.
15 O ana’ i Mosèo: i Gersome naho i Eliezere.
The sons of Moses: Gershom and Eliezer.
16 O ana’ i Gersomeo: i Seboele, talè.
The descendants of Gershom: Shebuel was the first.
17 Ana’ i Eliezere t’i Rekabià, talè. Tsy nanañ’ anake ila’e t’i Eliezere fe tsiefa ty anadahi’ i Rekabia.
The descendants of Eliezer: Rehabiah was the first. Eliezer did not have any other sons, but the sons of Rehabiah were very numerous.
18 O ana’ Iitshareo: i Selomite, talè.
The sons of Izhar: Shelomith was the first.
19 O ana’ i Kebroneo: Ierià, tañoloñoloña’e, i Amarià ty faharoe, Iakaziele ty fahatelo vaho Iekameame ty fahefatse.
The sons of Hebron: Jeriah was the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.
20 O ana’ i Ozieleo: i Mikà, tañoloñoloña’e naho Iesià, faharoe.
The sons of Uzziel: Micah was the first and Isshiah the second.
21 O ana’ i Merario: i Maklý naho i Mosý. Le o ana’ i Maklìo: I Eleazare naho i Kise.
The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The sons of Mahli: Eleazar and Kish.
22 Nivilasy tsy aman’ ana-dahy t’i Eleazare, f’ie nanañ’ anak’ ampela, le nengae’ o rahalahi’e ana’ i Kiseo iereo.
Eleazar died without having any sons; he had only daughters. Their cousins, the sons of Kish, married them.
23 O ana’ i Mosio: i Maklý naho i Edere vaho Ieremote, telo.
The sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jeremoth —three in all.
24 Izay o ana’ i Levio amo anjomban-droae’eo; o talèn-droae’eo, ie vinolily an’ iake ty amo tahina’eo, ty amo añambone’eo; o nifanehak’ am-pitoloñañe añ’ anjomba’ Iehovà ao boak’an-tao’e faha-roapolo mañamboneo.
These were the descendants of Levi by their families—the heads of families, registered individually by name—those twenty years of age or older who worked in the service of the house of the LORD.
25 Ami’ty nanoe’ i Davide ty hoe, Fa tinolo’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’ Israele fitofàñe ondati’eo; ie himoneñe e Ierosalaime ao nainai’e.
For David had said, “The LORD, the God of Israel, has given rest to His people and has come to dwell in Jerusalem forever.
26 Le o nte-Levio: tsy ho tarazoe’ iereo ka i kivohoy ndra o fana-pitoloñañeo.
So now the Levites no longer need to carry the tabernacle or any of the articles for its service.”
27 Fa ty tsara’ fara’ i D’avide, le ty famoliliañe o nte-Levy roapolo taoñe mañamboneo.
For according to the final instructions of David, the Levites twenty years of age or older were counted,
28 Amy te nampijadoñeñe am-pità’ o ana’ i Aharoneo ty fitoloñañe añ’anjomba’ Iehovà ao, an-kiririsa’e ao naho amo efets’ efe’eo naho amy fañeferañe o raha masiñe iabioy vaho ty fitoroñañe añ’ anjomban’ Añahare,
but their duty was to assist the descendants of Aaron with the service of the house of the LORD, being responsible for the courts and chambers, the purification of all the holy things, and the work of the service of the house of God,
29 amy mofo miatrekey naho amy mona’e ho enga-mahakamay naho ty mofo-pila’e tsy aman-dalivay, ke t’ie toñaheñe añ’ endraendra he alaro menake naho ze hene fañaranañe naho fanjeheañe;
as well as for the rows of the showbread, the fine flour for the grain offering, the wafers of unleavened bread, the baking, the mixing, and all measurements of quantity and size.
30 naho t’ie hijohañe eo boa-maraiñe, hañandriañe naho handrenge Iehovà, naho hariva ka;
They were also to stand every morning to give thanks and praise to the LORD, and likewise in the evening.
31 naho hañenga ze hene soroñe am’ Iehovà, amo Sabatao naho amo pea-bolañeo naho amo andro namantañañeo, ami’ty ia’e nafetse, añatrefa’ Iehovà nainai’ey;
Whenever burnt offerings were presented to the LORD on the Sabbaths, New Moons, and appointed feasts, they were to serve regularly before the LORD in the numbers prescribed for them.
32 vaho hañambeñe i kivohom-pamantañañey naho hañambeñe i toetse masiñey naho hiaolo o ana-dahi’ i Aharone, roahalahi’eo, ami’ty fitoroñañe añ’ anjomba’ Iehovà ao.
So the Levites were to carry out the responsibilities for the Tent of Meeting and the Holy Place, and, under their brothers the descendants of Aaron, the service of the house of the LORD.
