1 Nañitrike irak’ amy Davide t’i Korame mpanjaka’ i Tsore ninday boda-mendoraveñe naho mpandrafi-bato naho mpandranjy, hamboatse anjomba.
And Huram king of Tyre sends messengers to David, and cedar-wood, and craftsmen of walls, and craftsmen of wood, to build a house for him.
2 Ie nifohi’ i Davide te niventè’ Iehovà ho mpanjaka’ Israele naho naonjo’e antiotiotse i fifehea’ey ty am’ ondati’e Israeleo,
And David knows that YHWH has established him for king over Israel, because of the lifting up on high of his kingdom, for the sake of His people Israel.
3 le nañenga valy maromaro indraike e Ierosalaime ao t’i Davide vaho nisamak’ ana-dahy naho anak’ ampela tovo’e t’i Davide.
And David takes wives again in Jerusalem, and David begets sons and daughters again;
4 Le zao ty tahina’ o ana’e nasamake e Ierosalaimeo: i Samoà naho i Sobabe, i Natane naho i Selomò
and these [are] the names of the children whom he has in Jerusalem: Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon,
5 naho Iibkare naho i Elisoà naho i Elpalete
and Ibhar, and Elishua, and Elpalet,
6 naho i Nogà naho i Nefege naho Iafià
and Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia,
7 naho i Elisama naho i Beliadà vaho i Elifalete.
and Elishama, and Beeliada, and Eliphalet.
8 Ie jinanji’ o nte-Pelistio te norizañe hifehe’ Israele iaby t’i Davide, le hene nionjomb’eo o nte-Pelistio hipay i Davide. Ie jinanji’ i Davide le niavota’e hifañatreke.
And the Philistines hear that David has been anointed for king over all Israel, and all the Philistines go up to seek David, and David hears, and goes out before them.
9 Nimb’eo o nte-Pelistio niparaitak’ am-bavatanen-dRefà ey.
And the Philistines have come, and rush into the Valley of Rephaim,
10 Nañontane aman’ Añahare t’i Davide ami’ty hoe: hionjoñako hao o nte-Pelisteo? Hatolo’o an-tañako hao? Le hoe t’Iehovà ama’e: Mionjona; fa hatoloko am-pità’o.
and David asks of God, saying, “Do I go up against the Philistines—and have You given them into my hand?” And YHWH says to him, “Go up, and I have given them into your hand.”
11 Aa le nionjomb’e Baale-peratsime mb’eo iereo, le zinevo’ i Davide eo. Le hoe t’i Davide, Toe nitotsak’ amo rafelahikoo t’i Andrianañahare manahake ty fisorotombahan-drano. Aa le natao Baale-peratsime i toetsey.
And they go up into Ba‘al-Perazim, and David strikes them there, and David says, “God has broken up my enemies by my hand, like the breaking up of waters”; therefore they have called the name of that place Ba‘al-Perazim.
12 Napo’ iareo eo o samposampo’eo le nandily t’i Davide vaho finorototo añ’ afo irezay.
And they leave their gods there, and David commands, and they are burned with fire.
13 Mbe naname i vavataney indraike o nte-Pelistio.
And the Philistines add again, and rush into the valley,
14 Nañontanea’ i Davide indraike t’i Andrianañahare; le hoe t’i Andrianañahare ama’e: Ko mionjomb’ am’ iereo mb’eo, iambohò vaho ivotraho tandrife o sohihio.
and David asks again of God, and God says to him, “Do not go up after them, turn around from them, and you have come to them from the front [[or in front]] of the mulberries;
15 Ie amy zao naho mahajanjim-peo mangidigidiñe an-digiligi’ o sohihio, le mionjona mb’añ’aly, fa ho nienga aolo anahareo t’i Andrianañahare hanjevo i valobohòm-Pilistiy.
and it comes to pass, when you hear the sound of the stepping at the heads of the mulberries, then you go out into battle, for God has gone out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.”
16 Nanoe’ i Davide i nandilian’ Añaharey, le zinevo’ iareo i valobohòm-Pilistiy boake Gibone pake Gezere.
And David does as God commanded him, and they strike the camp of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gazer;
17 Niboele amo hene taneo ty enge’ i Davide, le napo’ Iehovà amo kilakila’ ondatio ty fihembañañe ama’e.
and the name of David goes out into all the lands, and YHWH has put his fear on all the nations.
