And these [are] those coming to David at Ziklag, while shut up because of Saul son of Kish, and they [are] among the mighty ones, helping the battle,
2 Nimpitàm-pale le nahafitoloñe am-pitàn-kavana naho havia nahafipiletse vato naho nahafiririñe ana-pale am-pale, ie rahalahi’ i Saole nte Beniamine.
armed with bow, right and left handed, with stones, and with arrows, with bows, of the brothers of Saul, of Benjamin.
3 I Akiezere ty nifehe, le Ioase, ana’ i Semaà nte Gibate; naho Iziele naho i Pelete, ana’ i Azmavete; le i Berakà naho Iehò nte Anatote,
The head [is] Ahiezer, and Joash, sons of Shemaab the Gibeathite, and Jeziel, and Pelet, sons of Azmaveth, and Berachah, and Jehu the Antothite,
4 naho Ismaià nte Gibone, fanalolahy amy telopolo rey naho ambone’ i telopoloy; naho Iirmeà naho Iakaziele naho Iokanane naho Iozabade nte Gederà.
and Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty one among the thirty, and over the thirty, and Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Josabad the Gederathite.
5 Naho i Elozaý naho Ierimote naho i Bealià naho i Semarià naho i Sefatià nte Karofe,
Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite;
6 naho i Elkanà naho Iesià naho i Azarele naho Ioezere naho Iasobeame, nte Korake,
Elkanah, and Jesiah, and Azareel, and Joezer, and Jashobeam the Korahites,
7 naho Ioelà vaho i Zebadià ana’ Ierokame nte Gedore.
and Joelah, and Zebadiah, sons of Jeroham of Gedor.
8 Le o nte Gade nivìke mb’ amy Davide am-pipalira’e am-patrambeio, ondaty nahasibeke, ondaty nioke hialy, nahafitam-pikalañe naho lefoñe; aman-daharañe hoe tarehen-diona, ie hoe tsebý an-kaboañe ey te nilay;
And of the Gadite there have been separated to David, to the fortress, to the wilderness, mighty men of valor, men of the host for battle, setting in array buckler and spear, and their faces [are as] the face of the lion, and as roes on the mountains for speed:

Ezer the head, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,

Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
12 Iokanane ty fahavalo naho i Elzabade ty fahasive,
Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,
13 Iiremià ty faha-folo vaho i Makbanay ty faha folo-raik’ amby.
Jeremiah the tenth, Machbannai the eleventh.
14 O ana’ i Gade retoañe le songa mpifehe’ i valobohòkey; ty kede ama’e nañeva zato, ty bey nañeva arivo.
These [are] of the sons of Gad, heads of the host; the least [is] one of one hundred, and the greatest, of one thousand;
15 Ie o nitsake Iordaney amy volam-baloha’eio t’ie nandopatse añ’olotse; ie nampivoratsake ze am-bavatane ao iaby, maniñanañe naho mañandrefa.
these [are] they who have passed over the Jordan in the first month—and it is full over all its banks—and cause all [those in] the valley to flee to the east and to the west.
16 Naho nimb’amy fipalira’ i Davidey mb’eo ty ila’ o ana’ i Beniamine naho Iehodao;
And [some] from the sons of Benjamin and Judah came to David at the stronghold,
17 niavotse hifanalaka am’ iereo t’i Davide, le tinoi’e ty hoe: Naho am-panintsiñañe hañolotse ahy ty fitotsaha’ areo amako, le hivitrañe ama’ areo ty troko, fa naho mone pok’eo hamalik’ ahy amo rafelahikoo, ie malio tahiñe o tañakoo, le i Andrianañaharen-droaentika ty hivazoho vaho hizaka.
and David goes out before them, and answers and says to them, “If you have come to me for peace, to help me, I have a heart to unite with you; and if to betray me to my adversaries—without violence in my hands—the God of our fathers sees and reproves.”

And the Spirit has clothed Amasai, head of the captains: “To you, O David, and with you, O son of Jesse—peace! Peace to you, and peace to your helper, for your God has helped you”; and David receives them, and puts them among the heads of the troop.

And [some] from Manasseh have defected to David in his coming with the Philistines against Israel to battle—and they did not help them, for by counsel the princes of the Philistines sent him away, saying, “He defects with our heads to his master Saul.”
20 Ie nimb’e Tsiklage mb’eo, le nitsake ho mpiama’e boak’ amy Menasè t’i Adnà naho Iozabade naho Iediaele naho i Mikaele naho Iozabade naho Elihò vaho i Tsiletaý, mpifelek’ arivo’ o nte-Menasèo.
In his going to Ziglag there have fallen to him from Manasseh: Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zillthai, heads of the thousands who [are] of Manasseh;
21 Ie ro nañolotse i Davide amo malasoo amy te fonga nifanalolahy nahasibeke vaho nimpifehe amy valobohòkey.
and they have helped with David over the troop, for all of them [are] mighty men of valor, and they are captains in the host,
22 Nivotrak’ amy Davide boak’ andro boak’ andro t’indaty hañolotse aze, ampara’ t’ie ni-valobohòke ra’elahy manahake ty valobohòn’ Añahare.
for at that time, day by day, they come to David to help him, until it is a great camp, like a camp of God.
23 Zao ty ia’ o ni-reke-pialiañe hialio ty amo mpiaolo’eo, o niheo mb’amy Davide e Kebrone añe, hifotera’ iareo ami’ty fifehea’ i Saole ty amy nafè’ Iehovàio.
And these [are] the numbers of the head, of the armed men of the host; they have come to David at Hebron to turn around the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the mouth of YHWH.
24 Amo ana’ Iehoda mpitàm-pikalañe naho lefoñeo: eneñ’ arivo-tsi-valonjato veka’e hialy.
The sons of Judah, carrying buckler and spear, [are] six thousand and eight hundred, armed ones of the host.
25 Amo ana’ i Simoneo, ondaty maozatse mahasibek’ añ’aly, fito-arivo-tsi-zato.
Of the sons of Simeon, mighty men of valor for the host, [are] seven thousand and one hundred.
26 Amo ana’ i Levio, efats’arivo-tsi-enen-jato.
Of the sons of Levi [are] four thousand and six hundred;
27 Iehoiada ty mpifehe’ o nte-Aharoneo, rekets’ ama’e ty telo-arivo-tsi-fitonjato;
and Jehoiada [is] the leader of the Aaronite, and with him [are] three thousand and seven hundred,
28 naho i Tsadoke, ajalahy maozatse nahafisoroke vaho añ’ anjomban-droae’e, mpifehe roapolo-ro’ amby.
and Zadok, a young man, a mighty man of valor, and of the house of his father [are] twenty-two heads.
29 Amo ana’ i Beniamineo, longo’ i Saole, telo arivo; fa ampara’ te henane, maro am’ iareo ty nanan-dily añ’anjomba’ i Saole ao.
And of the sons of Benjamin, brothers of Saul, [are] three thousand, and until now their greater part are keeping the charge of the house of Saul.
30 Amo ana’ i Efraimeo: ro’ ale-tsi-valon-jato ty fanalolahy, nanañ’ asy añ’ anjomban-droae’e.
And of the sons of Ephraim [are] twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valor, men of renown, according to the house of their fathers.
31 Amy vakim-pifokoa’ i Menasèy: rai-ale-tsi-valo-arivo, tinoñon-tahinañe, niheo mb’eo hanao i Davide mpanjaka.
And of the half of the tribe of Manasseh [are] eighteen thousand, who have been defined by name, to come to cause David to reign.
32 Le amo ana’ Isakareo, ondaty nahafohin-tsà, naharendreke ty toko’e hanoe’ Israele; roanjato ty mpiaolo’ iareo vaho ambane’ ty fandilia’ iareo o longo’e iabio.
And of the sons of Issachar, having understanding for the times, to know what Israel should do; their heads [are] two hundred, and all their brothers [are] at their command.
33 Amy Zebolone, o mpionjom-b’añ’ alio, nahimbañe an-kotakotake, nahafitoloñe amy ze karaza-pialiañe, lime-ale nahafitàn-dahatse; tsy aman’ arofo roe.
Of Zebulun, going forth to the host, arranging battle with all instruments of battle, [are] fifty thousand, and keeping rank without a double heart.
34 Le amy Naftalý, mpifehe arivo; nindre am’ iereo reke-pikalañañe naho lefoñe, ty telo-ale-tsi-fito-arivo.
And of Naphtali, one thousand heads, and with them, with buckler and spear, [are] thirty-seven thousand.
35 Le amo nte-Dane nahafilahatse añ’ alio: roe-ale-tsi-valo-arivo-tsi-enen-jato.
And of the Danite, arranging battle, [are] twenty-eight thousand and six hundred.
36 Le amy Asere, o mpionjomb’ añ’ alio, nahafiriritse hiatre-kotakotake, efats-ale.
And of Asher, going forth to the host, to arrange battle, [are] forty thousand.
37 Le o alafe’ Iordaneio, amo nte-Reobeneo naho amo nte-Gadeo naho amo vakim-pifokoa’ i Menasèio, reketse ze atao haraom-pialiañe ho an-kotakotake, rai-hetse-tsi-roe-ale.
And from beyond the Jordan, of the Reubenite, and of the Gadite, and of the half of the tribe of Manasseh, with all instruments of the host for battle, [are] one hundred and twenty thousand.
38 Hene niheo mb’e Kebrone mb’eo an-kazavàn’arofo i lahindefoñe nahafitàm-pilaharañe rezay, hanoe’ iereo mpanjaka’ Israele t’i Davide; manahake izay ze hene nte-Israele ila’e, fonga niharo arofo hanao i Davide mpanjaka.
All these [are] men of war, keeping rank—they have come to Hebron with a perfect heart, to cause David to reign over all Israel, and also all the rest of Israel [are] of one heart, to cause David to reign,
39 Ie nìndre amy Davide ao telo andro nikama naho nigenoke fa nañalankañe ho a iareo o longo’eo.
and they are there, with David, three days, eating and drinking, for their brothers have prepared for them.
40 Tovo’ izay, o marine iareoo, Isakare naho i Zebolone vaho i Naftalý, ty ninday mahakama am-birike naho rameva naho perède naho añombe, le hena naho ampemba naho debelà naho kirotram-baloboke naho divay naho menake naho añombe vaho añondry tsifotofoto; fa firebehañe ty e Israele ao.
And also those near to them—to Issachar, and Zebulun, and Naphtali—are bringing in bread on donkeys, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen—food of fine flour, fig-cakes and grape-cakes, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep, in abundance, for joy [is] in Israel.
