Apokalypsy 18
1 Rehefa afaka izany, dia hitako fa indro, nisy anjely izay koa nidina avy tany an-danitra, nanana fahefana lehibe; ary ny tany nohazavain’ ny voninahiny.
AND after these things I saw an angel descending from heaven, having great authority; and the earth was enlightened by his glory.
2 Ary niantso tamin’ ny feo mahery izy ka nanao hoe: Rava! rava Babylona lehibe! ka tonga fonenan’ ny demonia sy fieren’ ny fanahy maloto rehetra ary akanin’ ny vorona rehetra izay maloto sy ankahalaina.
And he cried mightily with a great voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of demons, and the hold of every impure spirit, and the cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
3 Fa tamin’ ny divain’ ny fahatezerana noho ny fijangajangany no nahalavoan’ ny firenena rehetra, ary ny mpanjakan’ ny tany nijangajanga taminy, ary ny mpandranto amin’ ny tany tonga mpanankarena noho ny hafatratry ny nitiavan’ io ny zava-mahafinaritra ny tena.
Because all nations have drunk of the wine of the rage of her whoredom, and the kings of the earth have committed whoredom with her, and the merchants of the earth have been enriched by the excess of her profligate luxury.
4 Ary nahare feo iray koa avy tany an-danitra aho nanao hoe: Mialà aminy ianareo, ry oloko, mba tsy hiombonanareo ota aminy, ary mba tsy hisy hahazo anareo ny loza manjo azy.
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come forth out of her, my people, that ye have no share in her sins, and that so ye may not receive of her plagues.
5 Fa ny fahotany efa nitehika tamin’ ny lanitra, ary Andriamanitra efa nahatsiaro ny ratsy nataony.
For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
6 Mamalia azy araka izay nataony, ka omeo azy indroa heny toy ny nataony izy; ny kapoaka izay nofenoiny, dia fenoy indroa heny ho azy.
Render to her as she also hath done to you, and repay her double according to her works; in the cup which she hath mingled mingle for her double.
7 Toraka itsy niderany tena sy nivelomany tamin’ ny zava-mahafinaritra ny tena, dia omeo fanaintainana sy alahelo toraka izany koa izy, satria hoy izy anakampo: Mipetraka ho mpanjakavavy aho, fa tsy mpitondratena, ary tsy mba hahita alahelo mihitsy aho;
As much as she hath glorified herself, and rioted in luxury, so much torment and sorrow give her: because she hath said in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
8 koa noho izany dia ho tonga indray andro monja izao loza hanjo azy izao, dia fahafatesana sy fisaonana ary mosary, ary ho levon’ ny afo izy; fa mahery ny Tompo Andriamanitra, Izay nitsara azy.
Therefore in one hour shall all her plagues come, death, and mourning, and famine: and she shall be consumed with fire; because mighty is the Lord God, who judgeth her.
9 Ary ny mpanjakan’ ny tany, izay nijangajanga taminy sy niara-nanaram-po taminy tamin’ ny zava-mahafinaritra ny tena, dia hiteha-tratra sy hitomany ary, raha mahita ny setroky ny fandoroana azy;
And the kings of the earth who have committed whoredom with her, and shared in her luxuries, shall bewail her, and lament bitterly over her, when they see the smoke of her burning,
10 eny, hijanona eny lavitra eny izy noho ny fahatahorana ny fanaintainany ka hanao hoe: Indrisy! Indrisy! Babylona, izay tanàna lehibe! ry ilay tanàna mafy! fa tamin’ ny ora izay monja dia tonga ny fitsarana anao.
standing afar off through terror of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that strong city! how in one hour is thy judgment come upon thee!
11 Ary ny mpandranto amin’ ny tany dia hitomany sy hisaona azy; fa tsy hisy mpividy intsony ny entany:
And the merchants of the earth wept and wailed over her: because no man buyeth their merchandise any more:
12 dia entana volamena sy volafotsy sy vato soa sy perila sy rongony fotsy madinika sy lamba volomparasy sy landy sy jaky sy hazo mani-pofona, sy ny fanaka ivory rehetra mbamin’ ny fanaka rehetra amin’ ny hazo saro-bidy indrindra sy varahina sy vy ary vato sanga,
the merchandise of gold and of silver, and of precious stones, and of pearl, and of fine linen, and of purple, and of silk, and of scarlet, and every sweet scented wood, and every ivory vessel, and every vessel of most precious wood, and of gold, and of iron, and of marble,
13 sy havozomamy sy zavatra mani-pofona sy ditin-kazo sy menaka manitra sy ditin-kazo mani-pofona, sy divay sy diloilo sy lafarina tsara toto sy vary tritika sy omby sy ondry sy soavaly sy kalesy ary tena sy ain’ olona.
and cinnamon, and perfumes, and myrrh, and libanum, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and cattle, and sheep, and of horses, and of chariots, and of bodies, and the souls of men.
14 Ary ny vokatra soa nirin’ ny fanahinao dia efa niala taminao, ary ny zava-tsoa rehetra sy ny zava-malaza rehetra dia efa levona tsy ho anao, ary tsy ho hita intsony mandrakizay ireo.
And the delicate autumnal fruit of thy soul’s earner longing is gone from thee, and all things that are dainty and that are splendid are departed from thee, and never shalt thou find them any more.
15 Ny mpandranto izany zavatra izany, izay efa tonga mpanankarena taminy, dia hijanona eny lavitra eny noho ny fahatahorana ny fanaintainany ka hitomany sy hisaona
The merchants of these things who enriched themselves by her, shall stand afar off through terror of her torment, weeping and wailing,
16 ary hanao hoe: Indrisy! indrisy! ilay tanàna lehibe, izay nitafy rongony fotsy madinika sy lamba volomparasy sy jaky ary niravaka volamena sy vato soa ary perila!
and saying, Alas, alas, the great city, which was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and overlaid with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! how in one hour is so great wealth laid waste!
17 Fa tamin’ ny ora iray monja no nahafoana ny harena be toy izany. Ary ny mpitondra sambo rehetra sy izay rehetra mandeha eny ambonin’ ny ranomasina sy ny matilo ary izay rehetra manao raharaha any an-dranomasina dia nijanona teny lavitra eny,
And every pilot, and all the crew in the ships, and the mariners, and as many as exercise their labours on the sea, stood afar off,
18 ary raha nahita ny setroky ny fandoroana ary, dia niantso nanao hoe: Aiza intsony re no misy tahaka izany tanàna lehibe izany?
and cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What is like that great city!
19 Ary nanopy vovoka hiraraka tamin’ ny lohany izy, dia niantso sady nitomany sy nisaona ka nanao hoe: Indrisy! indrisy! ilay tanàna lehibe, izay nampanan-karena izay rehetra manan-tsambo eny amin’ ny ranomasina noho ny zava-tsaro-bidy tao aminy; fa tamin’ ny ora iray monja no nahafoana izany.
And they cast dust upon their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, by which all who occupied ships on the sea were enriched from her opulence! how in one hour is she made desolate!
20 Mifalia noho izay zavatra nanjo azy ianao, ry lanitra, sy ianareo olona masìna sy ianareo Apostoly, ary ianareo mpaminany; fa Andriamanitra efa nitsara azy ka namaly azy noho ny taminareo.
Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye the holy apostles and prophets, for God hath adjudged her to punishment, for the judgment inflicted on you by her.
21 Ary nisy anjely mahery anankiray nibata vato tahaka ny vato lehibe fikosoham-bary, dia nanipy izany tany an-dranomasina ka nanao hoe: Hatsipy mafy toy izany no ho fandrava an’ i Babylona, ilay tanàna lehibe, ka tsy ho hita intsony izy.
And a mighty angel took up a stone as a great milestone, and cast it into the sea, saying, So with rapidity shall the great city Babylon be hurled into the deep, and never shall be found more.
22 Ary ny feon’ ny mpitendry lokanga sy ny mpitsoka mozika sy ny mpitsoka sodina ary ny mpitsoka trompetra dia tsy ho re eo aminao intsony; ary ny mpiasa rehetra mahay zavatra na inona na inona tsy ho hita eo aminao intsony; ary ny feon’ ny vato fikosoham-bary tsy ho re eo aminao intsony;
And the sound of harpers, and musicians, and flute players, and trumpeters, shall never be heard in thee more; and no artificer of whatever trade shall be found in thee any more; and the sound of a milstone shall be heard in thee no more;
23 ary ny fahazavan’ ny jiro tsy mba hahazava eo aminao intsony; ary ny feon’ ny mpampakatra sy ny ampakarina tsy ho re eo aminao intsony; fa lehiben’ ny tany ny mpandrantonao; fa ny ody ratsinao no nentinao namitaka ny firenena rehetra.
and never shall the light of a lamp shine in thee any more; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard in thee no more: because thy merchants were the grandees of the earth; because all nations were deluded by thy magical incantation.
24 Ary teo anatiny no nahitana ny ran’ ny mpaminany sy ny olona masìna sy itsy rehetra novonoina teny ambonin’ ny tany.
And in her was found the blood of prophets, and holy men, and of all who have been slaughtered upon the earth.
