1 Maskila nataon’ i Etana Ezrahita. Ny famindram-pon’ i Jehovah no hohiraiko mandrakizay; Hatramin’ ny taranaka fara mandimby no hampahafantaran’ ny vavako ny fahamarinanao.
A Maskil of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the loving devotion of the LORD forever; with my mouth I will proclaim Your faithfulness to all generations.
2 Fa hoy izaho Hotovonana mandrakizay ny famindram-po; Ny fahamarinanao hampitoerinao any an-danitra.
For I have said, “Loving devotion is built up forever; in the heavens You establish Your faithfulness.”
3 “Efa nanao fanekena tamin’ ny voafidiko Aho; Eny, efa nianiana tamin’ i Davida mpanompoko Aho hoe:
You said, “I have made a covenant with My chosen one, I have sworn to David My servant:
4 Hampitoetra ny taranakao ho mandrakizay Aho Ka hanangana ny seza fiandriananao hatramin’ ny taranaka fara mandimby.” (Sela)
‘I will establish your offspring forever and build up your throne for all generations.’”
5 Ary ny lanitra hidera ny fahagagana ataonao, Jehovah ô, Ary ny fahamarinanao koa ao amin’ ny fiangonan’ ny olo-masìna.
The heavens praise Your wonders, O LORD— Your faithfulness as well— in the assembly of the holy ones.
6 Fa iza any an-danitra no mitovy amin’ i Jehovah? Ary iza amin’ ny zanak’ ireo andriamanitra no manahaka an’ i Jehovah,
For who in the skies can compare with the LORD? Who among the heavenly beings is like the LORD?
7 Dia Andriamanitra mahatahotra indrindra eo amin’ ny fiangonan’ ny olo-masiny Ary hajain’ izay rehetra manodidina Azy?
In the council of the holy ones, God is greatly feared, and awesome above all who surround Him.
8 Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny maro, ô, iza no mahery tahaka Anao, Jehovah? Ary manodidina Anao ny fahamarinanao.
O LORD God of Hosts, who is like You? O mighty LORD, Your faithfulness surrounds You.
9 Hianao manapaka ny fisavoan’ ny ranomasina; Raha manonja ny alony, dia mampitsahatra azy Hianao.
You rule the raging sea; when its waves mount up, You still them.
10 Hianao nanorotoro an-dRahaba ho tahaka izay voavono; Ny sandrinao mahery no nampielezanao ny fahavalonao.
You crushed Rahab like a carcass; You scattered Your enemies with Your mighty arm.
11 Anao ny lanitra, Anao koa ny tany; Izao tontolo izao sy izay rehetra eo aminy. Hianao no nanorina azy.
The heavens are Yours, and also the earth. The earth and its fullness You founded.
12 Ny avaratra sy ny atsimo. Hianao no nahary azy; Ny anaranao no ihobian’ i Tabara sy Hermona.
North and south You created; Tabor and Hermon shout for joy at Your name.
13 Manan-tsandry mahery Hianao; Mahery ny tananao, avo ny tananao ankavanana.
Mighty is Your arm; strong is Your hand. Your right hand is exalted.
14 Rariny sy fitsarana no fanorenan’ ny seza fiandriananao; Famindram-po sy fahamarinana no mialoha ny tavanao.
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; loving devotion and faithfulness go before You.
15 Sambatra izay olona mahalala ny feo mahafaly; Jehovah ô, amin’ ny fahazavan’ ny tavanao no handehanany.
Blessed are those who know the joyful sound, who walk, O LORD, in the light of Your presence.
16 Ny anaranao no hifaliany mandrakariva; Ary ny fahamarinanao no hisandratany.
They rejoice in Your name all day long, and in Your righteousness they exult.
17 Fa voninahitry ny heriny Hianao; Ary amin’ ny fankasitrahanao no hisandratan’ ny tandrokay.
For You are the glory of their strength, and by Your favor our horn is exalted.
18 Fa an’ i Jehovah ny ampinganay; Ary an’ ny Iray Masin’ ny Isiraely ny mpanjakanay.
Surely our shield belongs to the LORD, and our king to the Holy One of Israel.
19 Tamin’ izany ny olonao masìna dia nilazanao tamin’ ny fahitana hoe: Nametraka famonjena tamin’ izay mahery Aho Ary nanandratra ny anankiray voafidy tamin’ ny olona.
You once spoke in a vision; to Your godly ones You said, “I have bestowed help on a warrior; I have exalted one chosen from the people.
20 Efa nahita an’ i Davida mpanompoko Aho; Ny diloiloko masìna no nanosorako azy;
I have found My servant David; with My sacred oil I have anointed him.
21 Izy no homban’ ny tanako; Eny, ny sandriko no hampahery azy.
My hand will sustain him; surely My arm will strengthen him.
22 Tsy hamitaka azy ny fahavalo; Ary tsy hampahory azy ny ratsy fanahy.
No enemy will exact tribute; no wicked man will oppress him.
23 Fa handripaka ny fahavalony eo anoloan’ ny tavany Aho Sady hamely izay mankahala azy.
I will crush his foes before him and strike down those who hate him.
24 Ny fahamarinako sy ny famindram-poko homba azy; Ary ny anarako no hisandratan’ ny tandrony.
My faithfulness and loving devotion will be with him, and through My name his horn will be exalted.
25 Dia hampitoetra ny tànany amin’ ny ranomasina Aho Ary ny tànany ankavanana amin’ ny ony.
I will set his hand over the sea, and his right hand upon the rivers.
26 Izy hiantso Ahy hoe: Raiko Hianao, Andriamanitro sy Vatolampin’ ny famonjena ahy.
He will call to Me, ‘You are my Father, my God, the Rock of my salvation.’
27 Ary Izaho kosa hanao azy ho lahimatoa, Ambony indrindra amin’ ny mpanjakan’ ny tany.
I will indeed appoint him as My firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.
28 Hitahiry ny famindram-poko ho azy mandrakizay Aho, Ary ny fanekeko hampaharetiko aminy.
I will forever preserve My loving devotion for him, and My covenant with him will stand fast.
29 Hampaharitra ny taranany ho mandrakizay Aho, Ary ny seza fiandrianany ho tahaka ny faharetan’ ny lanitra.
I will establish his line forever, his throne as long as the heavens endure.
30 Raha mahafoy ny lalàko ny zanany Ka tsy mandeha araka ny fitsipiko,
If his sons forsake My law and do not walk in My judgments,
31 Raha ny teniko no ataony ho fahavetavetana, Ary ny didiko no tsy tandremany,
if they violate My statutes and fail to keep My commandments,
32 Dia hovaliako tsorakazo ny fahadisoany, Ary kapoka ny helony.
I will attend to their transgression with the rod, and to their iniquity with stripes.
33 Nefa ny famindram-poko tsy hofoanako aminy, Ary ny fahamarinako tsy havadiko,
But I will not withdraw My loving devotion from him, nor ever betray My faithfulness.
34 Ny fanekeko tsy hotsoahako, Ary ny nolazain’ ny molotro tsy hovako.
I will not violate My covenant or alter the utterance of My lips.
35 Izao zavatra iray loha izao no nianianako tamin’ ny fahamasinako, Tsy handainga amin’ i Davida mihitsy Aho:
Once and for all I have sworn by My holiness— I will not lie to David—
36 Ny taranany haharitra mandrakizay, Ary ny seza fiandrianany ho tahaka ny masoandro eo anatrehako;
his offspring shall endure forever, and his throne before Me like the sun,
37 Hampitoerina mandrakizay tahaka ny volana izy, Tahaka ny vavolombelona marina any an-danitra. (Sela)
like the moon, established forever, a faithful witness in the sky.”
38 Fa efa narianao sy nolavinao izy; Efa tezitra tamin’ ny voahosotrao Hianao.
Now, however, You have spurned and rejected him; You are enraged by Your anointed one.
39 Efa nahafoana ny fanekena tamin’ ny mpanomponao Hianao; Efa nataonao ho fahavetavetana ny satro-boninahiny ka narianao teny an-tany.
You have renounced the covenant with Your servant and sullied his crown in the dust.
40 Efa noravanao ny fefiny rehetra; Efa nosimbanao ny fiarovany mafy.
You have broken down all his walls; You have reduced his strongholds to rubble.
41 Izay rehetra mandalo eny an-dalana dia manimba azy; Efa fandà-tsan’ ny mpiray monina aminy izy.
All who pass by plunder him; he has become a reproach to his neighbors.
42 Efa nampisandratra ny tanana ankavanan’ ny rafilahiny Hianao Ary efa nampifaly ny fahavalony rehetra.
You have exalted the right hand of his foes; You have made all his enemies rejoice.
43 Efa nampihemotra ny lelan’ ny sabany Hianao Ka tsy nampaharitra azy tamin’ ny ady.
You have bent the edge of his sword and have not sustained him in battle.
44 Efa nampitsahatra ny voninahiny Hianao Ka nanongana ny seza fiandrianany ho amin’ ny tany.
You have ended his splendor and cast his throne to the ground.
45 Efa nahafohy ny andron’ ny fahatanorany Hianao Ary efa nanaron-kenatra azy. (Sela)
You have cut short the days of his youth; You have covered him with shame.
46 Mandra-pahoviana, Jehovah ô? Hiery mandrakizay va Hianao? Mirehitra tahaka ny afo va ny fahatezeranao?
How long, O LORD? Will You hide Yourself forever? Will Your wrath keep burning like fire?
47 Tsarovy ny hafohin’ ny androko; Toa zava-poana mihitsy ny namoronanao ny zanak’ olombelona rehetra!
Remember the briefness of my lifespan! For what futility You have created all men!
48 Iza no olona ho velona tsy hahita fahafatesana, Fa hamonjy ny fanahiny tsy ho azon’ ny tanan’ ny fiainan-tsi-hita? (Sela) (Sheol h7585)
What man can live and never see death? Can he deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? (Sheol h7585)
49 Tompo ô, aiza ny famindram-ponao fahiny, Izay nianiananao tamin’ i Davida tamin’ ny fahamarinanao?
Where, O Lord, is Your loving devotion of old, which You faithfully swore to David?
50 Tompo ô, tsarovy ny latsa manjo ny mpanomponao, Ny tratrako vesaran’ ny firenena rehetra,
Remember, O Lord, the reproach of Your servants, which I bear in my heart from so many people—
51 Dia ny nandatsan’ ny fahavalonao, Jehovah ô, Eny, ny nandatsany ny dian’ ny voahosotrao.
how Your enemies have taunted, O LORD, and have mocked every step of Your anointed one!
52 Isaorana mandrakizay anie Jehovah. Amena dia Amena.
Blessed be the LORD forever! Amen and amen.
