< Salamo 84 >
1 Ho an’ ny mpiventy hira. Al-hagitith. Salamo nataon’ ny Koraïta. Endrey ny hatsaran’ ny tabernakelinao, Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro, ô!
For the music director. A psalm of the descendants of Korah. On the gittith. How wonderful is the place where you live, Lord Almighty!
2 Manina sady vonton’ alahelo ny kianjan’ i Jehovah ny fanahiko; ny foko sy ny nofoko mihoby an’ Andriamanitra velona.
I long, I ache, to be in the courts of the Lord. My mind and my body sing for joy to the living God.
3 Eny, ny tsikirity mahita trano, ary ny sidintsidina mahita akany ho azy hametrahany ny zanany. Dia ny alitaranao, Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro ô, Mpanjakako sy Andriamanitro.
Even a sparrow finds a home there, and a swallow builds a nest for herself where she can raise her chicks near to your altars, Lord Almighty, my king and my God.
4 Sambatra izay mitoetra ao an-tranonao; hidera Anao mandrakariva izy. (Sela)
How happy are those who live in your house—they are always praising you! (Selah)
5 Sambatra izay olona manan-kery avy aminao; ao am-pony ny lalana;
How happy are those whose strength is in you, those who are determined to make a pilgrimage.
6 Raha mandeha mamaky ny lohasaha Baka izy, Dia ataony misy loharano izany, ary ny loha-orana manarom-pitahiana azy.
As they walk through the Valley of Tears it becomes a spring of water; autumn rains cover it with pools.
7 Miampy hery eny am-pandehanana izy; samy miseho eo anatrehan’ Andriamanitra any Ziona izy rehetra.
They go from strength to strength, and each one will appear before God in Jerusalem.
8 Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny maro ô, henoy ny fivavako; mandrenesa ry Andriamanitr’ i Jakoba ô. (Sela)
Lord God Almighty, please hear my prayer; please listen, God of Jacob. (Selah)
9 Andriamanitra, Ampinganay ô, tsinjovy ka jereo ny tavan’ ny voahosotrao.
Please God, look at our defender, look at the face of your anointed one.
10 Fa ny indray andro eo an-kianjanao dia tsara noho ny arivo; aleoko mipetraka eo amin’ ny tokonam-baravaran’ ny tranon’ Andriamanitra, toy izay mitoetra ao an-dain’ ny ratsy fanahy.
One day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else. I'd rather stand as a doorkeeper in the house of my God than live comfortably in the homes of the wicked.
11 Fa Masoandro sy Ampinga Jehovah Andriamanitra; fahasoavana sy voninahitra no homen’ i Jehovah; tsy hiaro zava-tsoa amin’ izay mandeha amin’ ny fahitsiana izy.
For the Lord God is our sun and shield, and he gives us grace and honor. The Lord doesn't hold back anything good from those who do right.
12 Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro ô, sambatra izay olona matoky Anao.
Lord Almighty, how happy are those who trust in you.
