< Salamo 80 >
1 Ho an’ ny mpiventy hira. Al-shoshanim-edoth. Salamo nataon’ i Asafa. Ry Mpiandry ny Isiraely ô, mihainoa, Hianao Izay mitondra an’ i Josefa toy ny ondry; Hianao, Izay mipetraka amin’ ny kerobima, mamirapiratra.
“To the chief musician upon Shoshannim; an 'Eduth by Assaph; a psalm.” O Shepherd of Israel, give ear, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.
2 Fohazy ny herinao eo anoloan’ i Efraima sy Benjamina ary Manase, ka avia hamonjy anay.
Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Menasseh awaken thy might, and come to our help.
3 Andriamanitra ô, ampodio izahay, ka ampamirapirato ny Tavanao, ary aoka hovonjena izahay.
O God, cause us to return, and let thy countenance shine, that we may be saved.
4 Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny maro ô, mandra-pahoviana no hanetroka amin’ ny fivavaky ny olonao ny fahatezeranao?
O Lord of hosts, how long shall thy anger smoke against the prayer of thy people?
5 Mampihinana azy mofo len-dranomaso Hianao, ary mampisotro azy ranomaso tovozina.
Thou feedest them with the bread of tears, and givest them tears to drink in great measure.
6 Ataonao ho fifandirana amin’ ny mifanila fonenana aminay izahay; ary ny fahavalonay mifaly handatsa.
Thou renderest us a contest unto our neighbors: and our enemies hold derision among themselves.
7 Andriamanitry ny maro ô, ampodio izahay, ka ampamirapirato ny tavanao, ary aoka hovonjena izahay.
O God of hosts, cause us to return, and let thy countenance shine, that we may be saved.
8 Nisy voaloboka nafindranao avy tany Egypta; nandroaka ny jentilisa Hianao ka namboly azy kosa.
A vine didst thou remove out of Egypt: thou drovest out nations, and plantedst it.
9 Nitevy teo alohany Hianao, dia namaka lalina izy ka nameno ny tany.
Thou didst clear out a place before it, and it struck its root deeply, and it filled the land.
10 Nanaloka ny tendrombohitra ny alokalony, ary ny sampany nanaloka ny sedera andrian-kazo.
Mountains were covered with its shadow, and with its boughs the cedars of God.
11 Nampisandrahaka ny rantsany hatramin’ ny ranomasina izy, ary ny sakeliny hatramin’ ny Ony.
It sent out its tendrils as far as the sea, and unto the river its suckers.
12 Nahoana no noravànao ny fefiny ka anotazan’ izay rehetra mandalo eny an-dalana izy?
Wherefore hast thou now broken down its fences, so that all who pass by the way pluck the fruit from it?
13 Ny lambo avy any an’ ala mitrongy azy; ary izay bibi-dia any an-tsaha mandàny azy.
The boar out of the forest doth gnaw at it, and what moveth on the field feedeth on it.
14 Ry Andriamanitry ny maro ô, miverena, ka tsilovy any an-danitra, ary jereo, ka vangio ity voaloboka ity.
O God of hosts, return; I pray thee, look down from heaven, and behold, and think of this vine;
15 Arovy izay nambolen’ ny tananao ankavanana sy ny zanaka izay nampaherezinao ho Anao.
And of the sprout which thy right hand hath planted, and of the branch that thou hast made strong for thyself.
16 Voadotry ny afo izy sady voakapa; fongotry ny fananaran’ ny tavanao izy.
It is burnt with fire, it is hewn down; because of the rebuke of thy countenance do they perish.
17 Aoka ny tananao ho amin’ ny lehilahin’ ny tananao ankavanana, dia amin’ ny zanak’ olombelona izay nampaherezinao ho Anao.
Let thy hand be over the man of thy right hand, over the son of man whom thou hast made strong for thyself.
18 Dia tsy hihemotra hiala aminao izahay; velomy izahay, dia hiantso ny anaranao.
Then will we not swerve from thee: revive us again, and we will call on thy name.
19 Ry Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny maro ô, ampodio izahay; ampamirapirato ny tavanao, ary aoka hovonjena Izahay.
O Lord God of hosts, cause us to return: let thy countenance shine, that we may be saved.
