Salamo 76
1 Ho an’ ny mpiventy hira. Hampiarahina amin’ ny valiha. Salamo nataon’ i Asafa. Tonon-kira. Andriamanitra dia fantatra eo amin’ ny Joda; malaza eo amin’ ny Isiraely ny anarany;
People in Judah know God; the Israeli people honor him [MTY].
2 Naoriny ao Salema ny tranolainy, ary any Ziona ny fonenany.
His home is in Jerusalem; he lives on Zion [Hill].
3 Teo no nanapatapahany ny zana-tsipìka manelatra, sy ny ampinga sy ny sabatra ary ny fiadiana. (Sela)
There he broke the flaming arrows [that his enemies shot], [and he also broke] their shields and swords and other weapons that they used in battles.
4 Mamirapiratra Hianao sady be voninahitra miseho avy any amin’ ny tendrombohitra fitohàna.
God, you are glorious! You are like a king [as you return from] the mountains [where you defeated your enemies].
5 Voababo ny mahery fo; renoky ny torimasony izy; ary samy ankona tsy nahahetsika ny tànany avokoa ny olo-mahery rehetra.
Their brave soldiers [were killed, and then those who killed them] took away everything that those soldiers had. Those enemies died [EUP], [so] they were unable to use their weapons [any more]!
6 Noho ny teny mafy nataonao, ry Andriamanitr’ i Jakoba, dia sondrian-tory ny kalesy sy ny soavaly.
When you, the God whom Jacob [worshiped], rebuked [your enemies], [the result was that their] horses and their riders fell down dead.
7 Hianao no mahatahotra; ka iza no mahajanona eo anatrehanao, rehefa miseho ny fahatezeranao?
But you cause everyone to be afraid. When you are angry [and you punish people], no one can [RHQ] endure it.
8 Avy tany an-danitra no nampandrenesanao fitsaràna. Raiki-tahotra ny tany ka sina,
From heaven you proclaimed that you would judge people, [and then everyone on] the earth was afraid and did not say [anything more],
9 Raha nitsangana hitsara Andriamanitra mba hamonjy ny mpandefitra rehetra ambonin’ ny tany. (Sela)
when you arose to declare that you would punish [wicked people] and rescue all those whom they had oppressed.
10 Fa ny fahatezeran’ ny olona hidera Anao tokoa; ny fahatezerana sisa dia isikinanao.
When [you punish those] with whom you are angry, your people will praise you, and [your enemies] who (survive/are not killed) will worship you on your festival days.
11 Mivoadia, ka efao ny voadinareo amin’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrareo; aoka izay rehetra manodidina Azy hitondra fanatitra ho an’ Izay mahatahotra.
[So] give to Yahweh the offerings that you promised to give to him; all the people of nearby people-groups should also bring gifts to him, the one who is awesome.
12 Manapaka ny reharehan’ ny lehibe Izy sady tahotry ny mpanjakan’ ny tany.
He humbles [IDM] princes, and [even] causes [great] kings to be terrified.
