1 Ho an’ ny mpiventy hira. Nataon’ i Davida. Ho fampahatsiarovana. Andriamanitra ô, faingàna hanafaka ahy; Jehovah ô, faingàna hamonjy ahy.

Au chef des chantres. De David. Pour la Commémoration. Consens, ô Dieu, à me sauver; Eternel, hâte-toi de me porter secours.

2 Aoka ho menatra sy hangaihay izay mitady ny aiko; aoka hiamboho sy ho afa-baraka izay faly amin’ ny manjo ahy;

Qu’ils soient confondus et couverts de honte, ceux qui attentent à ma vie: qu’ils lâchent pied et reculent, en rougissant, ceux qui souhaitent mon malheur!

3 Aoka hiamboho noho ny fahamenarany izay manao hoe: Hià! sakoa izay!

Qu’ils s’en retournent, punis par leur honte, ceux qui disent de moi: "Ha! Ha!"

4 Aoka hifaly sy ho ravoravo aminao izay rehetra mitady Anao; ary aoka izay tia ny famonjenao hanao mandrakariva hoe: hankalazaina anie Andriamanitra.

Mais qu’ils jubilent et se réjouissent en toi, tous ceux qui te recherchent! Qu’ils disent constamment: "Dieu est grand", ceux qui aiment ta protection!

5 Fa izaho dia ory sy malahelo; faingàna hankatỳ amiko, Andriamanitra ô; Mpamonjy sy Mpanafaka ahy Hianao; aza ela, Jehovah ô.

Quant à moi, pauvre et malheureux, ô Dieu, hâte-toi en ma faveur; tu es mon aide et ma sauvegarde: Eternel, n’attends pas trop longtemps.
