Salamo 7
1 Sigaiona nataon’ i Davida, izay nohirainy ho an’ i Jehovah noho ny tenin’ i Kosy Benjamita. Jehovah Andriamanitro ô, Hianao no ialofako; vonjeo aho amin’ izay rehetra manenjika ahy, ka afaho;
A Psalm of David, which he sang to the Lord because of the words of Chusi the Benjamite. O Lord my God, in you have I trusted: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me.
2 Fandrao ny fanahiko viravirainy tahaka ny fanaon’ ny liona, ary kepokepohiny, ka tsy misy mamonjy.
Lest at any time [the enemy] seize my soul as a lion, while there is none to ransom, nor to save.
3 Jehovah Andriamanitro ô, raha nanao izany aho; raha misy heloka eto an-tanako;
O Lord my God, if I have done this; (if there is unrighteousness in my hands; )
4 Raha namaly ratsy izay tsara fihavanana tamiko aho, novonjeko aza izay nampahory ahy tsy ahoan-tsy ahoana
if I have requited with evil those who requited me [with good]; may I then perish empty by means of my enemies.
5 Dia aoka ny fahavalo hanenjika ny fanahiko ka hahatratra azy; eny, aoka izy hanitsaka ny aiko amin’ ny tany, ary hampandry ny voninahitro amin’ ny vovoka. (Sela)
Let the enemy persecute my soul, an take it; and let him trample my life on the ground, and lay my glory in the dust. (Pause)
6 Jehovah ô, mitsangàna amin’ ny fahatezeranao; misandrata hisakana ny fisafoaky ny mpampahory ahy; ary mifohaza hanampy ahy, fa didy marina no navoakanao;
Arise, O Lord, in your wrath; be exalted in the utmost boundaries of mine enemies: awake, O Lord my God, according to the decree which you did command.
7 Aoka ny firenena maro hivory manodidina Anao; ary miverena ho any amin’ ny avo eo amboniny Hianao,
And the congregation of the nations shall compass you: and for this cause do you return on high.
8 Jehovah hitsara ny firenena; Jehovah ô, tsarao aho araka ny fahamarinako sy ny tsi-fananako tsiny.
The Lord shall judge the nations: judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to my innocence that is in me.
9 Aoka ho tapaka ny ratsy ataon’ ny ratsy fanahy, fa ampitoero kosa ny marina; fa Andriamanitra marina no mamantatra ny fo sy ny voa.
Oh let the wickedness of sinners come to an end; and [then] you shall direct the righteous, O God that search the hearts and reins.
10 Ny ampingako dia ao amin’ Andriamanitra, Mpamonjy ny mahitsy fo.
My help is righteous, [coming] from God who saves the upright in heart.
11 Mpitsara marina Andriamanitra, eny Andriamanitra Izay tezitra isan’ andro.
God is a righteous judge, and strong, and patient, not inflicting vengeance every day.
12 Raha tsy ibebahana Izy, dia hanasa ny sabany; efa manenjana ny tsipìkany Izy ka manamboatra azy,
If you will not repent, he will furbish his sword; he has bent his bow, and made it ready.
13 Ary ireo dia kendreny amin’ ny fiadiana mahafaty; ny zana-tsipìkany ataony mirehitra.
And on it he has fitted the instruments of death; he has completed his arrows for the raging ones.
14 Indro, efa marary hiteraka zava-poana ireo; eny, torontoronina fampahoriana izy ary mitera-doza;
Behold, he has travailed with unrighteousness, he has conceived trouble, and brought forth iniquity.
15 Mihady lavaka izy ka manalalaka izany, dia latsaka ao anatin’ ny longoa nataony ihany izy;
He has opened a pit, and dug it up, and he shall fall into the ditch which he has made.
16 Mitsingerina ho eo an-dohany ihany ny fampahoriany; ary eo an-tampon-dohany ihany no ianjeran’ ny loza nataony.
His trouble shall return on his own head, and his unrighteousness shall come down on his own crown.
17 Hidera an’ i Jehovah araka ny fahamarinany aho, ary hankalaza ny anaran’ i Jehovah Avo Indrindra.
I will give thanks to the Lord according to his righteousness; I will sing to the name of the Lord most high.
