< Salamo 63 >

1 Salamo nataon’ i Davida, fony tany an-efitr’ i Joda izy. Andriamanitra ô, Andriamanitro Hianao; mitady Anao fatratra aho; mangetaheta Anao ny fanahiko, maniry Anao ny nofoko, eto amin’ ny tany maina sy mangentana tsy misy rano;
God, you are the God whom I [worship]. I greatly desire to be with you like [SIL] a person in a dry hot desert greatly desires [some cool water].
2 Toy izany no nijereko Anao tao amin’ ny fitoerana masìna, hahitako ny herinao sy ny voninahitrao.
So, I want to see you in your temple; I want to see that you are great and glorious.
3 Fa tsara noho ny aina ny famindram-ponao; ny molotro hidera Anao.
Your constantly loving [me] is (worth more/more precious) than [my] life, so I [MTY] will [always] praise you.
4 Toy izany no hisaorako Anao, raha mbola velona koa aho; amin’ ny anaranao no hanandratako ny tanako.
I will praise you all the time that I live; I will lift up my hands to you while I pray.
5 Toy ny voky tsoka sy tavy no hahavokisan’ ny fanahiko; ary amin’ ny molotra falifaly no hideran’ ny vavako Anao.
[Knowing you satisfies me more than] [IDM, MET] my eating a very big feast, [so] I will praise you while I sing [MTY] joyful songs.
6 Raha mahatsiaro Anao eo am-pandriako aho, dia mieritreritra Anao amin’ ny fiambenan’ alina.
While I lie on my bed, I think about you. I think/meditate about you all during the night,
7 Fa efa namonjy ahy Hianao, ary ao ambanin’ ny aloky ny elatrao no hihobiako.
because you have always helped me, and I sing joyfully knowing that I am protected by you [as a little bird is protected] under [its mother’s] wings [MET].
8 Mifikitra amiko ny fanahiko; manohana ahy ny tananao ankavanana.
I cling to you; and with your hand/power you protect me.
9 Fa ireny dia mitady ny aiko ka mampidi-doza amin’ ny tenany; hiditra any ambanin’ ny tany izy;
But those who are trying to kill me will [die and] descend into the place of the dead;
10 Hatolotra ho amin’ ny herin’ ny sabatra izy; ho anjaran’ ny amboahaolo izy.
they will be killed in battles [MTY] and their [corpses] will be eaten by jackals/wild dogs.
11 Fa ny mpanjaka hifaly amin’ Andriamanitra; ho ravoravo izay rehetra mianiana aminy; fa hakombona ny vavan’ izay rehetra mandainga.
But I, the king [of Israel], will rejoice in what God has done; and all those who revere and trust God will praise him, but he will not allow liars to say anything.
