Salamo 57
1 Ho an’ ny mpiventy hira. Al-tasheth. Miktama nataon’ i Davida tamin’ ny nandosirany an’ i Saoly tao anaty zohy. Mamindrà fo amiko. Andriamanitra ô, mamindrà fo amiko; fa Hianao no ialofan’ ny fanahiko; eny, ao amin’ ny aloky ny elatrao no ialofako, mandra-pahalasan’ ny loza.
For the choirmaster. To the tune of “Do Not Destroy.” A Miktam of David, when he fled from Saul into the cave. Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy, for in You my soul takes refuge. In the shadow of Your wings I will take shelter until the danger has passed.
2 Hitaraina amin’ Andriamanitra Avo Indrindra aho, dia amin’ Andriamanitra Izay mahatanteraka ho ahy.
I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills His purpose for me.
3 Haniraka avy any an-danitra Izy ka hamonjy ahy, raha miteny ratsy izay misafoaka manenjika ahy. (Sela) Eny, Andriamanitra haniraka ny famindram-pony sy ny fahamarinany.
He reaches down from heaven and saves me; He rebukes those who trample me. (Selah) God sends forth His loving devotion and His truth.
4 Ny fanahiko dia eo afovoan’ ny liona; handry eo amin’ ny masiaka aho, dia eo amin’ ny zanak’ olombelona, ― lefona sy zana-tsipìka ny nifiny, ary sabatra maranitra ny lelany.
My soul is among the lions; I lie down with ravenous beasts— with men whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords.
5 Misandrata any ambonin’ ny lanitra Hianao, Andriamanitra ô! aoka ho ambonin’ ny tany rehetra ny voninahitrao.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; may Your glory cover all the earth.
6 Efa namela-pandrika harato haningotra ny diako izy, ary nampitanondrika ny fanahiko; nihady lavaka teo anoloako izy, kanjo ny tenany ihany no latsaka ao anatiny. (Sela)
They spread a net for my feet; my soul was despondent. They dug a pit before me, but they themselves have fallen into it!
7 Tafatoetra ny foko, Andriamanitra ô, eny, tafatoetra ny foko; hihira sy hankalaza aho.
My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast. I will sing and make music.
8 Mifohaza, ry voninahitro; mifohaza ry valiha sy lokanga; hifoha maraina koa aho.
Awake, my glory! Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.
9 Hidera Anao eny amin’ ny vahoaka aho, Tompo ô, hankalaza Anao eny amin’ ny firenena aho.
I will praise You, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing Your praises among the peoples.
10 Fa lehibe mihatra amin’ ny lanitra ny famindram-ponao, ary mihatra amin’ ny rahona ny fahamarinanao.
For Your loving devotion reaches to the heavens, and Your faithfulness to the clouds.
11 Misandrata any ambonin’ ny lanitra Hianao, Andriamanitra ô; aoka ho ambonin’ ny tany rehetra ny voninahitrao.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; may Your glory cover all the earth.
