Salamo 53

1 Ho an’ ny mpiventy hira. Al-mahalath. Maskila nataon’ i Davida. Ny adala manao anakampo hoe: tsy misy Andriamanitra. Manao izay ratsy sy vetaveta izy, tsy misy manao ny tsara.

TO THE OVERSEER. “ON A DISEASE.” AN INSTRUCTION OF DAVID. A fool said in his heart, “There is no God.” They have done corruptly, Indeed, they have done abominable iniquity, There is none doing good.

2 Eny an-danitra Andriamanitra miondrika mijery ny zanak’ olombelona, mba hizaha na misy hendry mitady an’ Andriamanitra.

God looked on the sons of men from the heavens, To see if there is an understanding one, [One] seeking God.

3 Samy efa nivily izy rehetra ka tonga vetaveta avokoa; tsy misy manao ny tsara, na dia iray akory aza.

Everyone went back, together they became filthy, There is none doing good—not even one.

4 Tsy mahalala va ny mpanao ratsy, izay mihinana ny oloko toy ny fihinan-kanina, ary Andriamanitra tsy antsoiny?

Workers of iniquity have not known, Those eating my people have eaten bread, They have not called God.

5 Indreo, matahotra dia matahotra ireny, nefa tsy nisy tokony hatahorany; fa Andriamanitra efa nanely ny taolan’ izay nitoby hamely anao; nampahamenatra azy ianao, satria efa narian’ Andriamanitra izy.

There they feared a fear—there was no fear, For God has scattered the bones of him Who is encamping against you, You have put to shame, For God has despised them.

6 Enga anie ka hivoaka avy ao Ziona ny famonjena ny Isiraely! raha ampodin’ Andriamanitra avy amin’ ny fahababoana ny olony, dia ho faly Jakoba, ary ho ravoravo Isiraely.

Who gives the salvation of Israel from Zion? When God turns back [to] a captivity of His people, Jacob rejoices—Israel is glad!
