< Salamo 51 >
1 Ho an’ ny mpiventy hira. Salamo nataon’ i Davida, fony Natana mpaminany nankao aminy rehefa naka an’ i Batseba izy. Mamindrà fo amiko, Andriamanitra ô, araka ny fahasoavanao; araka ny haben’ ny fiantranao vonoy ny fahadisoako.
Unto the end, a psalm of David, When Nathan the prophet came to him after he had sinned with Bethsabee. Have mercy on me, O God, according to thy great mercy. And according to the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my iniquity.
2 Sasao madio aho mba ho afa-keloka, ary diovy aho mba ho afa-pahotana.
Wash me yet more from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
3 Fa tsaroako ny fahadisoako, ary eo anatrehako mandrakariva ny fahotako.
For I know my iniquity, and my sin is always before me.
4 Taminao dia taminao ihany no nanotako, ary izay ratsy eo imasonao no efa nataoko, mba ho marina Hianao, raha miteny, ary tsy hanan-tsiny Hianao, raha mitsara.
To thee only have I sinned, and have done evil before thee: that thou mayst be justified in thy words and mayst overcome when thou art judged.
5 Indro, tamin’ ny heloka no niterahana ahy, ary tamin’ ny fahotana no torontoronina ahy ny reniko.
For behold I was conceived in iniquities; and in sins did my mother conceive me.
6 Indro, fahamarinana ao am-po no sitrakao; ary fahendrena ao amin’ ny miafina no ampahafantarinao ahy.
For behold thou hast loved truth: the uncertain and hidden things of thy wisdom thou hast made manifest to me.
7 Diovy hysopa aho ho afa-pahotana, dia hadio; sasao aho, dia ho fotsy mangatsakatsaka.
Thou shalt sprinkle me with hyssop, and I shall be cleansed: thou shalt wash me, and I shall be made whiter than snow.
8 Ampandreneso fifaliana sy faharavoravoana aho, hifalian’ ny taolana izay voavakivakinao.
To my hearing thou shalt give joy and gladness: and the bones that have been humbled shall rejoice.
9 Afeno ny tavanao ny fahotako ary vonoy ny heloko rehetra.
Turn away thy face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities.
10 Amorony fo madio aho, Andriamanitra ô; ary havaozy hiorina marina ny fanahiko ato anatiko.
Create a clean heart in me, O God: and renew a right spirit within my bowels.
11 Aza manary ahy hiala eo anatrehanao; ary aza manaisotra ny Fanahinao Masìna amiko.
Cast me not away from thy face; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
12 Ampodio amiko ny fifaliana amin’ ny famonjenao; ary tohàny fanahy mazoto aho.
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and strengthen me with a perfect spirit.
13 Dia hampianatra ny olon-diso ny lalanao aho; ary ny mpanota hampiverenina aminao.
I will teach the unjust thy ways: and the wicked shall be converted to thee.
14 Vonjeo ho afaka amin’ ny valin-drà aho, Andriamanitra ô, Andriamanitry ny famonjena ahy; hihoby ny fahamarinanao ny vavako.
Deliver me from blood, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall extol thy justice.
15 Tompo ô, sokafy ny molotro, dia hanambara ny fiderana Anao ny vavako.
O Lord, thou wilt open my lips: and my mouth shall declare thy praise.
16 Fa tsy fanatitra no sitrakao; raha izany dia nomeko ihany; ny fanatitra dorana tsy mahafaly Anao.
For if thou hadst desired sacrifice, I would indeed have given it: with burnt offerings thou wilt not be delighted.
17 Ny fanatitra ho an’ Andriamanitra dia fanahy torotoro; ny fo torotoro sy mangorakoraka, Andriamanitra ô, tsy mba ataonao tsinontsinona.
A sacrifice to God is an afflicted spirit: a contrite and humbled heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
18 Manaova soa amin’ i Ziona araka ny fahasoavanao; ataovy ny mandan’ i Jerosalema.
Deal favourably, O Lord, in thy good will with Sion; that the walls of Jerusalem may be built up.
19 Dia ho sitrakao ny fanati-pahamarinana sy ny fanatitra dorana ary ny fanatitra levonina amin’ ny afo; dia hanatitra vantotr’ ombilahy eo amin’ ny alitaranao ny olona.
Then shalt thou accept the sacrifice of justice, oblations and whole burnt offerings: then shall they lay calves upon thy altar.
