Salamo 48
1 Tonon-kira. Salamo nataon’ ny Koraïta. Lehibe Jehovah ka mendrika hoderaina indrindra, ao an-tanànan’ Andriamanitsika, ao an-tendrombohiny masìna.
A song or Psalme committed to the sonnes of Korah. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praysed, in the Citie of our God, euen vpon his holy Mountaine.
2 Avo mahafinaritra, fifalian’ ny tany rehetra, ny tendrombohitra Ziona, eo amin’ ny ilany avaratra, tanànan’ ny Mpanjaka lehibe.
Mount Zion, lying Northwarde, is faire in situation: it is the ioy of the whole earth, and the Citie of the great King.
3 Andriamanitra ao an-tranon’ andriana ao dia nanao izay hahafantarana Azy ho fiarovana avo.
In the palaces thereof God is knowen for a refuge.
4 Fa he! niangona ny mpanjaka maro, niara-nandroso avokoa izy.
For lo, the Kings were gathered, and went together.
5 Nijery izy ka talanjona terỳ; Very hevitra izy ka nalaky nandositra;
When they sawe it, they marueiled: they were astonied, and suddenly driuen backe.
6 Hovitra no nahazo azy teo, dia tahaka ny fanaintainan’ ny vehivavy raha miteraka.
Feare came there vpon them, and sorowe, as vpon a woman in trauaile.
7 Amin’ ny rivotra avy any atsinanana no namakianao ny sambon’ i Tarsisy.
As with an East winde thou breakest the shippes of Tarshish, so were they destroyed.
8 Araka izay efa rentsika no hitantsika, tao an-tanànan’ i Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro, tao an-tanànan’ Andriamanitsika. Andriamanitra mampitoetra azy mandrakizay. (Sela)
As we haue heard, so haue we seene in the citie of the Lord of hostes, in the Citie of our God: God will stablish it for euer. (Selah)
9 Efa nieritreritra ny famindram-ponao izahay, Andriamanitra ô, tao anatin’ ny tempolinao.
We waite for thy louing kindnes, O God, in the middes of thy Temple.
10 Araka ny anaranao, Andriamanitra ô, no fiderana Anao hatramin’ ny faran’ ny tany; feno fahamarinana ny tananao ankavanana.
O God, according vnto thy Name, so is thy prayse vnto the worlds end: thy right hand is full of righteousnes.
11 Aoka hifaly ny tendrombohitra Ziona, aoka ho ravoravo ny zanaka-vavin’ Joda, noho ny fitsaranao.
Let mount Zion reioyce, and the daughters of Iudah be glad, because of thy iudgements.
12 Manodidina an’ i Ziona ianareo, eny, mandehana manodidina azy; isao ny tilikambony,
Compasse about Zion, and goe round about it, and tell the towres thereof.
13 Hevero tsara ny mandany, diniho ny tranon’ andrianany, mba hambaranareo amin’ ny taranaka mandimby.
Marke well the wall thereof: beholde her towres, that ye may tell your posteritie.
14 Fa izany no Andriamanitra, dia Andriamanitsika mandrakizay doria; Izy no hitarika antsika na dia hatramin’ ny fahafatesana aza.
For this God is our God for euer and euer: he shall be our guide vnto the death.
