Salamo 33
1 Mihobia ho an’ i Jehovah ianareo, ry olo-marina; fa mendrika hataon’ ny olo-mahitsy ny fiderana.
Sing, ye righteous, in Jehovah, For upright ones praise [is] comely.
2 Miderà an’ i Jehovah amin’ ny lokanga; mankalazà Azy amin’ ny valiha tory folo.
Give ye thanks to Jehovah with a harp, With psaltery of ten strings sing praise to Him,
3 Mihirà fihiram-baovao ho Azy; mitendre tsara amin’ ny feo fifaliana.
Sing ye to Him a new song, Play skilfully with shouting.
4 Fa mahitsy ny tenin’ i Jehovah, ary ny asany rehetra dia mahatoky avokoa.
For upright [is] the word of Jehovah, And all His work [is] in faithfulness.
5 Tia fahamarinana sy rariny Izy; henika ny famindram-pon’ i Jehovah ny tany.
Loving righteousness and judgment, Of the kindness of Jehovah is the earth full.
6 Ny tenin’ i Jehovah no nanaovana ny lanitra; ary ny fofonain’ ny vavany no nanaovana ny hamaroany rehetra.
By the word of Jehovah The heavens have been made, And by the breath of His mouth all their host.
7 Mampiavosa ny rano ao an-dranomasina ho toy ny antontan-javatra Izy; mitahiry ny rano lalina ao an-trano fitehirizana Izy.
Gathering as a heap the waters of the sea, Putting in treasuries the depths.
8 Aoka hatahotra an’ i Jehovah ny tany rehetra; aoka hangovitra eo anatrehany ny mponina rehetra amin’ izao tontolo izao.
Afraid of Jehovah are all the earth, Of Him are all the inhabitants of the world afraid.
9 Fa Izy no niteny dia ary izany; Izy no nandidy, dia nitoetra mafy izany.
For He hath said, and it is, He hath commanded, and it standeth.
10 Jehovah mahafoana ny fisainan’ ny firenen-tsamy hafa; Mahatsinontsinona ny hevitry ny olona Izy.
Jehovah made void the counsel of nations, He disallowed the thoughts of the peoples.
11 Ny fisainan’ i Jehovah maharitra mandrakizay, ny hevitry ny fony mahatratra ny taranaka fara mandimby.
The counsel of Jehovah to the age standeth, The thoughts of His heart to all generations.
12 Sambatra ny firenena izay manana an’ i Jehovah ho Andriamaniny, dia ny olona nofidiny ho lovany.
O the happiness of the nation whose God [is] Jehovah, Of the people He did choose, For an inheritance to Him.
13 Eny an-danitra no itsinjovan’ i Jehovah, mijery ny zanak’ olombelona rehetra Izy;
From the heavens hath Jehovah looked, He hath seen all the sons of men.
14 Eo amin’ ny fonenany no ijereny ny mponina rehetra ambonin’ ny tany,
From the fixed place of His dwelling, He looked unto all inhabitants of the earth;
15 Dia Izy Mpamorona ny fon’ izy rehetra sy Mpamantatra ny asany rehetra.
Who is forming their hearts together, Who is attending unto all their works.
16 Tsy misy mpanjaka voavonjin’ ny hamaroan’ ny miaramilany; ny olo-mahery tsy voavonjin’ ny haben’ ny heriny.
The king is not saved by the multitude of a force. A mighty man is not delivered, By abundance of power.
17 Ny soavaly tsy azo itokiana ho famonjena, ary tsy mahavonjy ny haben’ ny heriny.
A false thing [is] the horse for safety, And by the abundance of his strength He doth not deliver.
18 Indro, ny mason’ i Jehovah mitsinjo izay matahotra Azy, dia izay manantena ny famindram-pony,
Lo, the eye of Jehovah [is] to those fearing Him, To those waiting for His kindness,
19 mba hanafaka ny fanahiny amin’ ny fahafatesana, sy hamelona azy, raha misy mosary.
To deliver from death their soul, And to keep them alive in famine.
20 Ny fanahintsika miandry an’ i Jehovah; famonjena antsika sy ampingantsika Izy.
Our soul hath waited for Jehovah, Our help and our shield [is] He,
21 Fa Izy no ifalian’ ny fontsika, satria ny anarany masìna no itokiantsika.
For in Him doth our heart rejoice, For in His holy name we have trusted.
22 Jehovah ô, aoka ny famindram-ponao hitoetra aminay araka ny anantenanay Anao.
Let Thy kindness, O Jehovah, be upon us, As we have waited for Thee!
