Salamo 21

1 Ho an’ ny mpiventy hira. Salamo nataon’ i Davida. Jehovah ô, ny herinao no hifalian’ ny mpanjaka; ary endrey ny haben’ ny hiravoravoany amin’ ny famonjenao!

For the Leader. A Psalm of David. O LORD, in Thy strength the king rejoiceth; and in Thy salvation how greatly doth he exult!

2 Ny nirin’ ny fony dia nomenao azy, ary ny nangatahin’ ny molony tsy mba nolavinao. (Sela)

Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and the request of his lips Thou hast not withholden. (Selah)

3 Fa notsenainao fitahiana soa izy; teo an-dohany nasianao satro-boninahitra tena volamena.

For Thou meetest him with choicest blessings; Thou settest a crown of fine gold on his head.

4 Aina no nangatahiny taminao, dia nomenao azy izany, dia andro lava mandrakizay doria.

He asked life of Thee, Thou gavest it him; even length of days for ever and ever.

5 Lehibe ny voninahiny amin’ ny famonjenao; Laza sy voninahitra no nataonao taminy.

His glory is great through Thy salvation; honour and majesty dost Thou lay upon him.

6 Fa nataonao ho fitahiana mandrakizay izy; ampifalinao indrindra amin’ ny tavanao izy.

For Thou makest him most blessed for ever; Thou makest him glad with joy in Thy presence.

7 Fa ny mpanjaka matoky an’ i Jehovah, ary noho ny famindram-pon’ ny Avo Indrindra dia tsy hangozohozo izy.

For the king trusteth in the LORD, yea, in the mercy of the Most High; he shall not be moved.

8 Ho azon’ ny tananao ny fahavalonao rehetra; eny, ho azon’ ny tananao ankavanana ny mankahala anao;

Thy hand shall be equal to all thine enemies; thy right hand shall overtake those that hate thee.

9 Hataonao tahaka ny fatana misy afo mirehitra izy amin’ ny andro hisehoanao, Jehovah handany azy amin’ ny fahatezerany, ary handevona azy ny afo.

Thou shalt make them as a fiery furnace in the time of thine anger; the LORD shall swallow them up in His wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

10 Ny zanany haringanao tsy ho eo amin’ ny tany, ary ny taranany tsy ho eo amin’ ny zanak’ olombelona;

Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.

11 Fa nikasa hanisy ratsy anao izy, ka namoron-kevi-dratsy fa tsy nahefa.

For they intended evil against thee, they imagined a device, wherewith they shall not prevail.

12 Fa hampiamboho azy ianao; ny tsipìkanao no ikendrenao ny tavany.

For thou shalt make them turn their back, thou shalt make ready with thy bowstrings against the face of them.

13 Misandrata amin’ ny herinao, Jehovah ô, hihira sy hankalaza ny herinao izahay.

Be Thou exalted, O LORD, in Thy strength; so will we sing and praise Thy power.
