Salamo 146

1 Haleloia. Miderà an’ i Jehovah, ry fanahiko.

Praise ye Jah! Praise, O my soul, Jehovah.

2 Hidera an’ i Jehovah aho, raha mbola miaina koa; Eny, hankalaza an’ Andriamanitra aho, raha mbola velona koa.

I praise Jehovah during my life, I sing praise to my God while I exist.

3 Aza matoky ny lehibe, Na ny zanak’ olombelona izay tsy mahavonjy.

Trust not in princes — in a son of man, For he hath no deliverance.

4 Miala ny fofonainy, ka miverina ho amin’ ny taniny izy; Ary amin’ izay indrindra no hahafoanan’ ny fikasany.

His spirit goeth forth, he returneth to his earth, In that day have his thoughts perished.

5 Sambatra izay manana an’ Andriamanitr’ i Jakoba ho Mpanampy azy Sady manantena an’ i Jehovah Andriamaniny,

O the happiness of him Who hath the God of Jacob for his help, His hope [is] on Jehovah his God,

6 Izay nanao ny lanitra sy ny tany, Ny ranomasina sy izay rehetra ao anatiny, Izay mitandrina fahamarinana mandrakizay,

Making the heavens and earth, The sea and all that [is] in them, Who is keeping truth to the age,

7 Izay manome rariny ho an’ ny ampahoriana, Izay manome hanina ho an’ ny noana. Jehovah mamaha ny mpifatotra;

Doing judgment for the oppressed, Giving bread to the hungry.

8 Jehovah mampahiratra ny jamba Jehovah mampitraka ny mitanondrika; Jehovah tia ny marina;

Jehovah is loosing the prisoners, Jehovah is opening (the eyes of) the blind, Jehovah is raising the bowed down, Jehovah is loving the righteous,

9 Jehovah miaro ny vahiny Ary manandratra ny kamboty sy ny mpitondratena, Fa mamadika ny lalan’ ny ratsy fanahy kosa.

Jehovah is preserving the strangers, The fatherless and widow He causeth to stand, And the way of the wicked He turneth upside down.

10 Manjaka mandrakizay Jehovah, Hatramin’ ny taranaka fara mandimby Andriamanitrao, ry Ziona. Haleloia.

Jehovah doth reign to the age, Thy God, O Zion, to generation and generation, Praise ye Jah!
